A very cute and delicious restaurant in Corona. I have been here about 3 times. I always get the koobideh (ground beef skewer) because it is so delicious. I've had both the sandwich and the skewer. If you go for the sandwich, it is a good idea to share because that thing is a monster! If you get the skewer special, I recommend upgrading your rice side to a salad ($2 extra) because they have this awesome creamy balsamic vinaigrette that will blow your socks off. The food is good, but a little pricey for the quality. There are better places in LA, but since there isn't a lot of middle eastern restaurants in the IE, I would go back. I had take out and asked for extra flat bread and was charged for it, but did not get it. The food at this place is way better than the decor and location would suggest. I actually think this is the best Persian restaurant I've ever been to. Their boneless chicken and beef filet are without comparison. The mast o moosir appetizer rocks. The stews are truly delicious. The koobideh was a bit dry, but other than that, everything is 5 stars! On top of that, the stews are very inexpensive, with 1980's like pricing of $6 and $7 for dinner plates. The servers are not Persian and don't speak Farsi, but that is the least of my worries. Food is great! Service not so much. The staff is friendly but very slow. I come here often and every time it takes a hour or longer. I love the Kabobs so I order it almost every time. Delicious persian food! My favorite is the filet mignon and beef koobideh plate. Highly recommend splitting side dish as ride and the house salad that has dates and feta cheese. All time fave salad. Got the chicken shish kabob plate, everything was really good! It is pricey though. I'm not giving more stars because, first off they took forever to get my order. I ordered take-out and was literally seated in their waiting area for 40 minutes, with no other customers visibly waiting. Then, my kabob was a bit on the burnt side.. perhaps explained why they took so long? They are generous with the rice though, I still don't think the plate should have been $15. Overall taste of everything was good, I also got a side of hummus and that was good.. not great, but good. I honestly would rather go to Rumi's down the street. All in all, not too good of a first time experience and pricey. I don't think I may come back, I might opt for Rumi's instead, it is worth a try though. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE! I ordered vegetarian dishes online but on their end came up as the meat versions. Being a vegetarian and biting into a huge chunk of beef is disgusting. I called them and they sent a driver to come retrieve the food in order to get a refund. Funny this is, I still haven't received the refund on my credit card and have not heard back from management. Went to this place for dinner recently with cousins. It was late Sunday night and we were very hungry after a day in mountains. The place was not crowded so we were seated right away. There was plenty of parking available outside. The restaurant was decorated elegantly and the service was outstanding. I was very pleased with Lamb Shish Kebobs and other entrees. Amazing food and service!! My daughter and I dropped by for lunch and were greeted by Christian! He was so helpful and patient as we chose our food. We decided on the chicken kabbob and rice bowl. Big fan of Persian food! The beef/chicken koobideh are dee-lish. The serving portions are huge. My wife and I usually split a plate. The one downfall of this place, I found so far, is the hummus. A friend from work recommend this place to me. It was a little out of the way but definitely worth the drive. As soon as we walked in we were seated at a table and the waitress promptly came by and gave us our menus and took our drink orders. I ordered some dolma for an appetizer. I have never had dolma like this before. I guessing they were homemade, so good and not in the least bit tart. For lunch my boyfriend ordered the lamb shank an I the chicken saultini. I ordered the garden chicken salad with house dressing. Delicious! But for $14, the portion was extremely disappointed! I expected a full white to-go box versus the black to-go box that is half the size. The pictures on yelp show the white foam box. Maybe there are different sizes? If so, I wasn't offered. Most ridiculous Resturant you can order food from.We ordered food on line at 8:15& supposed to have the food ready at 8:45. Someone called from Resturant& said food is ready& they don't do delivery online order. I asked how much they charge to deliver . He said nothing in corona. Advised I live in corona. He said but they don't deliver on line order. I asked again how much they would charge to deliver. He said $35 cash???? I said I am coming over to pick it up but I never ever order again from them and the way they handle their business soon won't have any more customer. He said will deliver this time free but this would be the last time. I said that fine. At 9:15 I called again& talked to the same person asked about our food has not been delivered yet. he said they got so busy will be deliver at 9:30. The Lamb kabob was perfect since I requested medium rare. The portion size if fairly large, so you can share with a friend. The chicken kabob is a bit dry but nicely seasoned. I stopped by there on the way home yesterday to grab a bite and it was worth it. The staff was very welcoming and everyone was smiling. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. When you walk in you are slapped in the face with the smell of good food, and the taste matched the smell! I ordered a beef kabob wrap to go. I ate the entire thing before finding the "special sauce" at the bottom of the bag. The beef was seasoned perfectly and didn't need the sauce, but I will return and try it with the sauce :D I cant wait to take my wife to dinner there. read more
