My friend brought me here and was fantastic. The ambiance is the only drawback because it's inside the market and not really the best for sitting and enjoying the food. But the food is worth it! We stopped here on a whim heading back home. The food was exceptional and the customer service, even better. The one star knock will be explained, but truly a great spot for good food! Nihari - this had the perfect amount of meat and spice. The gravy was also a perfect texture (not too thick or thin), and it went well with the fresh Naan and toppings (ginger, green pepper, and lemon). Chicken Biryani - this is where I am docking a star. Although the meat was super tender and falling off the chicken bone, I found this to be missing the potato and it was not as spicy as I like it. Honestly this dish was disappointing in many aspects. The flavor was not up to par, and with all the other dishes really good, this one stood out. Bihari kabob - we had not initially ordered these, but one of the employees came out from the kitchen and asked. He said he is making it fresh and hot, so we felt obligated and were pleased. The tenderness of the meat and the flavor were all consistent. The best part, there was no smell. Even after heating it up the next day. Beef gola kabob - my only complaint about this would be the plate is small compared to price, but the taste was great. Again the meat was melting in your mouth with the perfect balance of spice and flavor. Naan - fresh and good. Overall the sitting area wasn't the best but the employees were very friendly and comped us a Mango lassi (she my baby was hungry and fussy). Chicken Biriyani is priced lower than what you pay at other restaurants. Portion size is more than competitor's offeringa. Taste is authentic! Curries are delicious! Came here with a few friends and had a really great dinner. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Karahi, and Garlic Naan. Everything was delicious, but the Chicken Karahi was definitely my favorite. It had amazing flavor, tasted fresh, and went perfectly with the garlic naan, which was soft, buttery, and fresh out of the oven. The tandoori chicken was also juicy and cooked just right. First time here. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Daal, rice, and garlic naan. The Chicken Tika Masala was spicy and very flavorful. It was a generous portion where there was enough left over to take home. The Daal was delicious. The naan might have been a little overcooked, but it was flavorful as was the rice, and tasted very good with the yogurt sauce they provided. I throughly enjoyed my meal, and the service was exceptional! Very friendly servers who willingly answered our questions about the menu, checked on us several times during the meal and did so with a smile. This food establishment is located inside a store, and there are only a few tables, so don't expect a restaurant-like environment, but the food is so good that the setting doesn't matter in my opinion. The staff at Bawarchi Tandoori was very welcoming and enthusiastic about their cuisine, and with good reason as it was very tasty, and cooked fresh. Ask for vegetarian options that are not on the visual menu. We enjoyed the dal as well as the spicy saag aloo, a spinach and potato dish, and as mentioned many times, the chicken tikka masala was amazing, and not a drop of sauce was left in our serving bowl. First time visiting corona and let me tell you if I had known amazing desi food would have been awaiting me here I would have visited sooner! I had the chicken biriyani and a mango lassi to wash it down with. The biriyani is adequately spicy not too much and not too little definitely packing a nice kick at the end. The meat was super flavorful and went beautifully with the rice. The dish overall was amazing. Sometimes this dish can get oily, however, that was not the case here. The rice retained its fluffy texture and flavor and was not weighed down by too much oil. It was very fresh and clean. The portion is definitely enough for two people to eat comfortably. And the little piece that tied it all together was the raita. I haven't seen a raita served with biryani that was this fresh and a palate cleanser that fit so well with the dish. It was made with yogurt and cilantro and I don't even like cilantro but this was 10/10 altogether (I asked for extra because I finished two little containers on my own, it's that good!). The mango lassi is incredibly fresh and tastes of exactly what it is mango, wrapped in yogurt. I haven't had a fresher mango lassi in California. It is not too sweet and not too tart but very much tastes like a fresh ripe mango with the yogurt not overpowering the fruit. I was also able to sample their halwa puri which was amazing. It was perfectly spiced (maybe a little spicier for people not used to spice) but a very good dish that I would definitely come back to have for breakfast. The man who let me try it was so kind and made sure I had a good experience and was enjoying my food. The service overall is very VERY good. The staff are very attentive and care a lot about their work, your experience, and the food, and it shows. They offered free chai and this was another treat on its own. For the service alone I would come back. I was made to feel very welcome even though I was alone and just passing through. I did not expect to come across such a nice eatery in a grocery store so this was an epic find that I would recommend to anyone. read more

Bawarchi catered my son's reception last week for 400 guests, and I'm still receiving compliments from our guests about the food! Chicken Gola Kebab, Channa Chaat, and Mango Lassi were a hit for appetizers. The Veal Palao was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the Mutton Korma was out of this world. Chicken 65 and Malai Chicken Boti were bursting with flavor, and the Bhagare Baigan was absolutely finger-licking good! The desserts--Ras Malai and the fruit dessert --were the perfect sweet ending to a delicious meal. We had told them to make the food mild and they delivered on it! He asked me about my job, where I work specifically, and then tells me to write down my number and he will come visit me at my job? I politely declined. He then still has me write down the name of my job and where, I did so, honestly just caught off guard with how quickly this just unfolded.
