Palace Istanbul Kebab House on 87th in Bridgeview is exactly what I want from a neighborhood Turkish spot. Walked in around dinner, cozy room, super friendly staff, and the grill smell hits you right away. Came for kebabs, stayed for dessert.

The food was good. Not quite what I remembered when I lived in Berlin but very close. The service was marginal . The restaurant wasn't unclean but needed attention. The prices were decent for the amount of food. The curry fries weren't Berliner style with ketchup and added powdered curry. Overall I was happy with the nostalgic meal having lived in Berlin for 4 years in the 1990s.

This is such a charming little restaurant! Came at 2pm on a Thursday straight from the airport and so glad I did! The wrap was so tasty and between the wrap and the complimentary labneh and bread, I was stuffed! The food tastes just like in Istanbul, which means it was super flavorful and delicious! I will def be back when I'm in the area. The staff was super friendly and welcoming too!

PHENOMENAL!!!! I live in downtown Chicago, but was in Bridgeview one weekend, and stopped by this restaurant because I love Turkish food. I had such a pleasant experience the first time that I can back again, and food/service was even better, which I didn't think was possible! We ordered the item in the pic (forgot what it was called haha) and the lahmacun and it was delicious. The server was also very sweet and funny, he gave us tea and baklava on the house! Will definitely be back!

Best breakfast, lunch and dinner The Doner Shawarma Wrap is the best one if had in the US it's identical to the ones I have back home

Great authentic Turkish/mid eastern food! 10/10 Offered great menu options and even better deserts. Prices are very fair and service is great

I recently discovered this restaurant in the Bridgeview area. It is slightly hard to find as it is located at a very busy intersection. Parking is available, but can be tight. I loved the ambiance. Its giving Turkish series local restaurant when the main character is in need of some alone time and is about to sing a traditional Turkish song. There is indoor and outdoor seating, bathrooms are clean (there is a bidet), and the overall decor is flattering. The menu is traditional and extensive, but slightly overpriced. The day I dined in, they were out of so many items, so my friend and I opted for the Haydari (Turkish labne) and a Sucuklu Pide (sausage and cheese baked flat bread) for our appetizers. The pide IS HUGE; can definitely feed up to 3-4 people. The appetizers were delicious! The Haydari was creamy and nutty! For our mains, we tried the doner wraps (chicken and the lamb and beef). The lamb and beef was extremely tender, saucy, and seasoned really well. The chicken was alright, but slightly dry. We also ordered ayran and that paired really well with our meal. Service can be slightly slow, but no complaints. Our waiter was really friendly! I recommend you give this place a try if you are in the Bridgeview area. Till next time!

Palace Istanbul is located at a busy intersection, and the parking isn't great. The interior is relatively nice, though, albeit small. We ordered iskander kebab, lahmacun, and fries. They also offered a complimentary cup of Turkish tea. The desserts looked amazing, but we didn't try any. The iskander kebab was fantastic. The meat was plentiful and flavorful with the tomato sauce and yogurt, and the soft bread crumbs sopped up the flavors superbly. The lahmacun was decent, but not as good as A Thousand Tales. The fries were just okay; I wouldn't have ordered these, but my son insisted. Service was friendly and pricing was reasonable. Overall a nice lunch.

I usually go to Al Bawadi but I wanted to try a new place in the area. Service was very friendly and my server gave me a couple of free samples from the case. The decor is nice. I tried the hummus and pita, chicken, rice, baklava, and turkish delight. I liked the garlic sauce and pepperoncini, red sauce was a little too spicy for me. I did not know there were onions on the salad, so I did not eat it. And I will say that the baklava was a different taste than I am used to, not quite for me, but I am sure others will like it. I would return.

Amazing Turkish restuarant in Bridgeview. Lots of restaurants in the area but this is one of the best. Amazing food. I have been to Turkey and the restaurants are amazing. This place was excellent. Cozy restuarant and very customer-friendly. The owner checked on us a few times and was humble to greet us. When I visit a restuarant, I care about quality of food, taste of food, cleanliness of restuarant, and customer service. On our visit here, this restuarant gets the best marks on all of these. We will be coming back here. Great food and experience!

Came here on a Sunday and it wasn't too packed and the server took the order right away. We ordered few appetizers and few entrees for 4 people. 45 minute passes and the appetizer is still not here. I tell the server that I don't want my dinner and appetizer together. She said since both the entree and appetizer are hot dishes, it's taking some time. Since we were waiting for so long, she brought the salad and some hummus/baba ganoush mix while we waited. I asked if we can get bread or Pita for the hummus and 10 minutes later they brought cold bread. Finally an hour later the the appetizers came, lahmacun and Ezme. The appetizers were the best part of the dinner and only giving 3 stars because of how good the appetizers were. Then later the entrees came one by one but we were rushed to eat it because the table was so small and it wouldn't fit the two entrees...we even asked for a bigger table earlier but they said they didn't have any. The entrees were okay, probably wouldn't try it again. Their dessert Knafeh was also good and fresh. I would only come back for the appetizers and dessert and definitely will not dine in ever again, will do carry out or delivery or something. The service was just horrible and so disorganized. I had to get servers attention for every little thing. Not sure if the servers were new or what but they definitely need training.

The place is very busy so parking can be a bit hard to find but they do have an overflow lot. Inside, they have a seating area where you can wait until you're seated at a table. Both times I've been there the wait time was around 20-30 minutes but trust me, the food is worth the wait. Even though they were busy, our server was attentive and the food didn't take too long to come out. I went with a group and for our appetizer we tried the platter that comes with hummus, baba ganoush, grape leaves, and fresh pita bread. For my drink, I had the lemon mint smoothie...very refreshing. The plates that my husband and I got were the chicken shawarma sandwich with a salad and the filet plate that comes with rice as well as grilled tomato and grilled onion. They give you generous portions which made it possible for me to share some of my meal with someone in my group to try and I still had leftovers. Finally, we could not leave without having dessert. We had knafeh which is made fresh. Everything was amazing and I can't wait to come back next time I visit the Chicagoland area.

I called them because I wasn't sure if the online version would be too slow. We were a group of three that came in Saturday night at 7 pm. It was moderately busy. The staff were all welcoming with smiles on their faces and attentiveness. Prices were fair for the amount of food you receive. Food portions are colossal so I would recommend one appetizer and one entree if you are a couple. They give you a complimentary dish. We ordered arayes with meat, meat toshka, mixed grill with baba ghanouj, fillet of basa fried, and mint lemonade. They also offer you fresh Arabic coffee before you leave. This is about a 4.5-5. -arayes with meat 4 - this was not bad. It's like a tamer version of the meat toshka. -meat toshka 5 - I prefer this over the arayes because they add the Syrian cheese. This one was bursting with flavor the moment you took a bite out of it. The minced beef and lamb just melt in the mouth. -mixed grill 5 - this came with 3 big skewers (shish kabab, kufta kabab, and chicken tawook. It also has tomatoes and onions to help cut down the meat when digesting. There are two heaping portions of biryani and saffron rice and baba ghanouj. The baba ghanouj was creamy and flavorful. It goes well with the pita bread. The meats were cooked medium well unless you want something. I think next time I'll ask for the shish kababs to be cooked medium rare or medium for a more juicy taste. The chicken tawook and kufta were both succulent. -fillet of basa fried 5 - the two pieces of basa fillet were astronomical. It also comes with two different kinds of rice. The fish was flaky, moist, and seasoned. Make sure you add the lemon and eat it with the sauce. -mint lemonade 5 - this was very refreshing after eating a heavy meal.

Plus the experience (service) was really good, and, we couldn't wait to come back. Unfortunately, when we returned just 4 days later (on Wednesday) it was a disaster... There was no hostess this time, just 3 gentlemen, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even came to our table with menus (we were the only clients, the restaurant was empty) they didn't greet us or say hello, and simply dropped the menus on the table and walked away, and about 10 minutes later, someone finally came back to take our order, but the biggest disappointment, though, was the food. We ordered the hummus, and it was clearly a SPOILED It had an extremely sour taste, similar to spoiled milk, It was SOOO BAD that I couldn't even eat it. We also ordered the mac and cheese bites, and they were absolutely drenched in oil The service was just as disappointing. No one ever brought us water or even asked if we'd like something to drink, not even the complimentary water that most restaurants provide. At the end of the meal, we had to walk up to the cashier ourselves to pay, and the staff was rude throughout the entire interaction. Our first visit was so wonderful, but our second experience completely changed our impression, we won't be returning.
