We usually come here for happy hour and it's absolutely amazing but I don't know what happened here. We were put first on the waiting list since we came in towards the end of happy hour on a Saturday and were seated after a 10min wait. My salmon nigiri tasted good but the chicken karaage wings were way under-seasoned and the Alaskan rolls straight up tasted like old fish. I regret not sending the food back but we were short on time. This was extremely disappointing as I was showing my boyfriend this restaurant and really wanted to impress him with my go-to spot. This was such an incredible let down. I really thought I could rely on you Kabuki. That Alaskan roll was disgusting. He was so excited he even ordered 2 for himself and all 3 we had ordered were all incredibly fishy and smelly. The only good thing was the krab salad. I always get the krab salad and the flavor and amount of toppings and dressing was spot on, I wish everything else were too.

This was hands down the worst meal I've ever had. Literally everything including the water was awful. I should have looked at the pictures before ordering the sushi. I got the tempura roll and it was loaded with imitation crab and I had to convince myself to take a bite. I don't know if it was the eel sauce or the roll itself but I immediately spit it out. It was terrible. I tried the hibachi fried rice with shrimp and I was disgusted when I noticed they used tiny shrimp. I've never had fried rice with cocktail shrimp, they weren't even deveined. Ew ew ew. I needed to get the taste out of my mouth and tried my husbands chips, those were awful so I then had to dig my pistachios out of my purse to get that taste out of my mouth. I ended up leaving and going for tacos. My husband stayed behind and ate his food that he kind of enjoyed. Never again!

We always love coming to Cabo tea for their happy hour. We just caught it at around 4:30 and happy hour ends at 5 PM. Our server was super nice and very helpful and explaining all the items for happy hour. We got some crunchy deep-fried tough along with some healthier tuna rolls. Everything was delicious. We ordered about four items off the happy hour menu, which was plenty to fill us up because we wanted to save some room for Desert. The ambience was great and some really nice music playing overhead. A nice place to stop by on a Sunday afternoon.

Came here for happy hour. The prices were pretty good. Like $10-12 for specialty rolls and $6-8 for the basic rolls. The calamari was pretty good, crispy. And I really liked my Sunkissed roll with salmon and avocado and my salmon hand roll. I started off with the miso soup and calamari. We all pretty much ordered just the sushi and the karaage chicken was pretty crispy. The only reason I put 3 stars was because our waiter even though she was really nice kept not picking up our dirty plates so the table was full and we were trying to find space for everything we were ordering. We kept handing her and other waiters the dirty plates, but it's kind of common sense to pick up the dirty plates after dropping off more food. We were wanting to try the love boat that my friend kept talking about, but I guess it's only specific locations that have it. She did tell us about the love table but she wasn't quite sure what was in it. Maybe she was new and wasn't familiar Ruth the menu yet. Anyway the sushi was good for happy hour just the service could have been better.

I really enjoyed the sushi here! Living in the desert, I tend to be cautious about the seafood I eat--I've had both good and bad experiences around the Valley. Kabuki truly exceeded my expectations. The crispy rice was fantastic, and the rainbow roll with spicy tuna was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Portion sizes were generous and more than enough for the two of us. We also tried one of their cocktails, which paired perfectly with the meal. I look forward to eating here again in the future and exploring more of their menu.

This is the third time I have eaten here and I must say they have the best Happy Hour for food items than any other place I have ever been! The Sesame Chicken was my absolute favorite, the flavor was out of this world! I must say the Calamari was good but dipping it in the Wasabi Mayo made them out of this world good! This is a great place for a large group, so many options to choose from. Every time I have gone we have had to wait 15 to 30 minutes but it has always been worth it.

Tip: there are 2 different happy hour times for this location and it is definitely worth it! I came in for Late Night Happy hour and got a few sashimi: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore. Price is 4.25-4.50 for 2 pieces for each type! The sashimi was fresh. I also got the spicy garlic edamame ( regular price) but this one was a little disappointing. I've always love this dish but this time they gave me the samba chili sauce on the side , to dip the edamame. I prefer them sauté the sauce in like how they usually do it before. I also got spicy tuna hand roll, which was very good as well! 1 order came in as 2 rolls, which was more filling than I thought. Overall definitely need to come back to try more dishes during Happy Hour!

My family goes here every year on Christmas Eve and they never disappoint. I really enjoy their cocktails and appetizers, staff is always super nice. I wasn't sure what drink I wanted and the bartender asked me my fave flavors and made me a mystery drink that was very lovely. I also love the dim lights and warm atmosphere.

Stopped by in between shopping for a quick happy hour on a Sunday afternoon. Great happy hour menu with good servings of sushi. I sat at the bar and the bartender Alyson was very attentive.

Freaking food is amazing!! Just as wonderful an experience as last time. But this time I got the BSCR roll. It kinda looks a hot mess, but top three yummiest things I've ever eaten! The servers know their...stuff! Thanks Alysia! Hope I spelled it right. Thanks Mo!

Went for my grandma's birthday dinner and had a blast. Nick was a very attentive server and made sure all 10 of us had a great meal. At the end, the birthday dessert even had a message written in Vietnamese that we requested! Would come back again.

Stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday around 6pm. Host and server were friendly. Started with the mixed tempura aka shrimp and veggie ($11) - was fine with an assortment of 2 shrimps, asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, etc, maybe a total of under 10 pieces. This arrived pretty quickly, with a separate runner who delivered the food. Hamachi Sake Roll ($17) was surprisingly good, coming with 8 pieces with hamachi on top and salmon in the middle. Rose Roll ($15) wasn't great - there were only 6 pieces, carefully spread out so it covered the entire plate. The rice itself was not individual grains, rather clumped together as if it was extruded. Definitely pass this roll. Also split the BBQ Short Beef Ribs ($16.50) with our entrees - not bad, some chewy bits. It feels very overpriced for the quantity and quality of food you get. Would be more worth if we came during happy hour (they have pre-dinner and late night) ~ HH Mon - Fri: 3PM- 6PM Sat - Sun: 2PM-5PM Late Night HH Sun - Thur : 8:30PM - Close Fri - Sat: 9PM - Close ...but even then, I think there are other spots in the valley worth trying!

Dined 1/24/25: The meals were tasty however, I should've ordered Rice vs. the Udon Noodles w/ my Spicy Seafood Udon dish. The noodles were SUPER CHEWY but I assume that's how they are supposed to taste?! (I'm just not a "noodle" person esp if they are super chewy). The seafood in the meal, was well cooked and very flavorful! My friend had: Beef Yakisoba and she enjoyed it. We each had a Kabuki salad to start & ordered the Steamed Dumplings. All delicious!! I'l be back & perhaps to focus on the sushi and/or try their ramen.

The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The spicy salmon roll had really great flavor and the lollipop roll was probably one of the better versions that we have had. We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.

I think it's a splendid option, especially for first-timers or anyone who wants a complete tasting experience without having to choose individual items. If I could change one small thing, it would be the roll selection. I wish there were an option to choose from the specialty rolls instead of only the basic ones. It's definitely a place worth visiting, and I'll certainly be back to try the curry and ramen next time!

Since we arrived after 3 PM, we had to choose between the sushi or sashimi menu. The sushi selection and limited carpaccio offerings were more than enough to satisfy our seafood cravings. However, there was only one iPad shared among our group of 10, with a maximum of 50 items allowed per round. Each round reopened after a 5 minute cooldown, regardless if the cap had been reached. If your group is not especially close or aware of everyone's likes and dislikes, this setup could make for an awkward dining experience. The iPad also crashed a couple of times, particularly when we were nearing the 50 item limit. Even without a celebration, there was an option to have one round of dishes presented on a themed display. I saw many nearby tables happily eating off sushi boats and decorative platforms. Since our party was on the larger side, we were also invited to spin a wheel and ended up winning a $25 gift card toward our next visit. Certain items had to be ordered directly through the server, including miso soup and ice cream. Be prepared for a slower pace, as dishes often took 20-30 minutes to arrive between rounds. Still, everything came out neatly plated and freshly prepared. One issue was that the iPad lacked a clear indicator showing which items had already arrived, which would have been especially helpful for larger groups trying to keep track of shared plates. *Spicy Garlic Edamame: subtly spicy but intensely garlicky. I loved how every pod was coated in chunks of garlic. Easily the group's favorite appetizer. *Yam Tempura: hot and crispy with thinly sliced yam that was cooked through perfectly. The batter was light and delicate rather than overly heavy. *Baked Mussels: generously stuffed with kani, though I wish the portion had been smaller so the mussel itself could stand out more. The mayo mixture was not evenly incorporated, leaving parts of the filling slightly dry and underseasoned. *Salmon Carpaccio: the rose centerpiece was sliced thicker than the surrounding pieces. I appreciated how the marinade leaned toward a bright, citrusy orange glaze instead of the usual ponzu heavy preparation. A lighter and fresher rendition overall. *Tuna And Yellowtail Carpaccio: both shared a similar ponzu and jalapeño profile. The fish was tender and sliced well. Our group generally preferred the texture and seasoning of these over the salmon version. *Garden Salad: a mix of cabbage and tomatoes with sesame dressing. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, though the dressing itself felt fairly uninspired. I would only order this again alongside heavier fried dishes. *Grilled Chicken: hot, tender teriyaki chicken with a pleasant smokiness throughout. *Grilled Beef Rib: a surprisingly massive portion of tender beef glazed in a teriyaki style sauce. Many at the table raved about how close it was to falling off the bone. *BBQ Galbi: comparable to what you would find at Korean barbecue restaurants. The short ribs were tender, fatty, and deeply marinated. *Yakisoba: served steaming hot with softer noodles. The portion was modest but included beef, chicken, and shrimp. Everything was sautéed nicely and the proteins remained tender. *Salmon Nigiri: fairly average in quality, though still our preferred salmon preparation of the evening. The first batch of pieces leaned quite thin, but the rice itself was excellent with a noticeable vinegar tang. *Caramelized Salmon Nigiri: definitely choose this over the plain seared version. The topping of Japanese mayo added a smoky sweetness that complemented the salmon much better. *Tuna Nigiri: above average thanks to the tuna's soft texture and clean flavor. It was leaner in cut, though I wished there were more creative tuna variations available. *Yellowtail Nigiri: fattier but noticeably fishier. I strongly preferred the carpaccio preparation and would likely skip the nigiri next time. *Eel Nigiri: the unexpected favorite of the night. The eel was cooked perfectly and evenly coated in a sweet glaze. We did not encounter any bones, and nearly everyone asked for another round. *Squid Nigiri: heavily scored, giving it a satisfyingly chewy texture. The flavor itself was fairly mild, though I wish it came with some type of sauce. *Spicy Scallops: the seaweed wrapper remained crisp while the scallops had a pleasant bounce. The sauce leaned heavily into Sriracha mayo. The seafood to rice ratio was surprisingly generous. *Green Tea Ice Cream: the standard bulk version commonly served at Japanese restaurants. Depending on your palate, it may come across soapy. Overall, the variety and execution impressed the entire group. The biggest drawbacks were the slower turnaround times and the awkward ordering system for large parties. Still, the presentation, atmosphere, and attentive service made this feel especially well suited for dates or celebrations.

We were very sceptical at first but the recommendation was spot on. We were seated right away and our server Bela approached immediately. She was very friendly and went down the menu telling us all about the specials and her recommendations. We needed no recommendations because we were there for one thing the Bei special. The special was an assortment of various rolls assembled beautifully making each piece stand out. The first bite was divine and as we worked around the ring of rolls they got better and better. The sauces brought perfect harmony and complemented the fish. The sushi was incredibly fresh not having the fishy order lingering. The rolls melted in your mouth like butter leaving you satisfied. It was so good we placed a second order. Bela stopped by frequently checking on us and also telling us about the restaurant and the area and provided a friendly atmosphere that you do not often get in northern Midwest. The Spider Roll was very good except for the sauce on top that did not suite our palate but after removing the sauce it was fantastic. The Hot Mama Roll was also amazing. The flavors went well with the Yuki Mango Nigori Sake. We also tried some of their beers and spent a while catching up. Belas service was second to none and made this reunion fabulous. The sushi at Bei was better than 95% of our sushi restaurants in my state and the price was very good. They also have a cute cat robot that delivers food! Thank you Bela we hope to come back again on our next trip to Arizona to try more food.

Icho has quickly become one of my most favorite places to visit…read more The small interior seats only a few guests which makes it great for date nights and special outings with a few guests. However this allows the staff to be more directly invested in your experience and keep the same level of quality in each dish. The fish is always fresh. The sushi rolls are creative enough to stand out from your local sushi restaurant but not over the top that the flavors get so mixed up that you're not sure what you're eating. The star of the show is their truffle escolar. I can't say more than if you are a fan of sashimi, then you will want to get this to be the first and last dish you order.

But they do it consistently and very well. I could eat these alone and feel happy. We are on a yellowtail kick. We asked the amazing and attentive waitress to as yellowtail choices she recommended. We tried them all. They were fantastic. Best. Sushi. Ever. Haven't had better in Cali. Or Seattle. It's.... Ya. Icho Izakaya as the overall champ. Our waitress is such a sweet spirit, she checked in frequently. I wish I had gotten her name. My wife and I both talked afterwards about how she pleasant and sweet spirited she was, super helpful and knowledgeable. She was outstanding! I will say, the master chef is busy. Lots of orders come in. And he rotates them so everyone gets part of their order. Be patient. Enjoy your company. Catch up. Slow down. It's so worth it. And as am I am writing this, my wife texts me again. "That sushi was so delicious". Shes right. It was.

Reviews are very good and so we gave it a try on a Saturday evening. When we arrived there were 2 people eating at the sushi counter, otherwise it was empty. During our time there another couple came in, so it was not busy and easy to get a table. The server was very friendly and service was great. For that I'll push my rating to 4 stars. For me, this place is personally 3.5/5. Everything was decent but nothing I would rave about. And that might just be me, because people love this place in other reviews. It was possibly just a bunch of little things that made me think it's just okay. I thought the texture of sushi rice was a bit too soft, I know it's sticky rice but I felt like it was a little over cooked and too soft. I also thought both of my rolls tasted exactly the same. Which thankfully I thought were good tasting. The stuffed jalapeños were definitely a miss, they were so under fried so mostly a mush of ingredients in a jalapeño. And initially I liked the karaage but had a couple of tough pieces, so overall that was just okay. Miso soup was solid. And I realize that the appetizers are cooked in the back and not by sushi chef, and people rave about the chef. However like I said, both rolls seemed pretty similar tasting and one was supposed to be more spicy. All very standard flavors, like I would expect from AYCE sushi. I think I'm just looking for more delicate flavors with higher quality pieces of fish. I likely should have tried some of the special items listed on the rotating items board near the sushi bar. Next time we go back I'll try sitting at the sushi bar and trying some speciality items. People have said this is the best way to enjoy this place. We will likely come back during a lunch or happy hour special, if I like it better and I can upgrade my review I'd be happy to give this small, local family run business all the stars.

I enjoy going to this place occasionally, and will definitely be back. I vacillated on how to rate…read morethem, but ultimately landed on three stars. Let's get into it. What they do well: cheap and fast. When I was there for lunch, it was AYCE for $19.99. You really can't beat that. The service is solid, though not stellar. The selection is pretty good, too! The restaurant is also well maintained. It's always clean and the decor is exactly what you'd expect for Japanese cuisine. Opportunity: the sushi has been falling apart all three times I've been there. It reminds me a little of what it might be like if i made it at home myself and didn't get the sushi rice right. That doesn't adversely affect the flavors, but it's annoying that I can never seem to dip it into the soy sauce and get it into my mouth without losing half the roll. Their service model also makes it so items from the fryer or other appetizers sometimes come out after the sushi rolls. There's no effort to synchronize the back kitchen staff and the sushi bar. This isn't necessarily an issue for me. I'm happy when there's food in front of me. But I could see others feeling like it's a disjointed approach and experience. Like I said, I'll be back. But if you're going to this place, make sure you're managing your expectations.
