Excellent Experience at Louisville Furniture with Lori & Dan!…read more My husband and I recently had the pleasure of shopping at Louisville Furniture, and I couldn't be more impressed with the experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by Lori, who really took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for. We were in the market for a reclining leather chair, and Lori listened carefully to our preferences before guiding us to the perfect option. She was so attentive, making sure every detail was just right. This was our first time shopping at Louisville Furniture, and the process was incredibly smooth from start to finish. The chair was delivered on time, and everything went exactly as planned. Lori and Dan were both wonderful to work with, and their customer service went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We will definitely be back to shop here again. Highly recommend!

When we entered the store we were met by the beautiful and friendly resident golden retrievers. We were greeted immediately and assistance was offered, after which we were able to stroll leisurely without high pressure or sales spiels. After looking through the show room, we had questions and staff was prompt with help and were very knowledgeable. When we requested a different fabric for couch pillows, staff took the time to bring a book of fabric samples and show us the various options. One purchased piece of furniture was not in stock and the predicted time to make the piece was on the money. The store held the other furniture to prevent us from paying twice for delivery. Delivery set up was a breeze. The furniture arrived and we were called to choose a convenient date for delivery. The only thing that could be improved would be to have a 2-hour window for delivery as promised. As it were, we were not given a time frame, and sat at home all day, with the furniture not arriving until 3: 30. However, the delivery personnel were exceptional in their handling of the furniture and careful not to damage walls. I highly recommend this store for furniture needs. It is located on English Station Rd in Middletown, near the water tower. The business has dedicated parking.

I ran into this store by accident and after visiting, here's what I understand. Ballard Designs is…read morea company owned by Williams Sonoma, and has a similar feel to it as Pottery Barn. This is the first outlet in Louisville and was originally announced as a temporary location; however, it must be doing well enough to have stayed in place. It took over the space vacated by the now bankrupt Steinmart. There is nothing fancy about this spot. It very much feels like a dumping site for furniture and is organized by type/room. It is a land of rejected, broken pieces. The signage attempts to excite you - 50% off or more - but then you flip the tag to find out it is still outrageously overpriced on top of being broken. The facility is large, and most workers were either at the front desk or helping people wedge items into their trucks. I appreciated watching the quiet nature of the staff today as a customer carried on a conversation with the customer service team via her cell phone. She was a lot to handle and you could tell they didn't want to escalate the situation. Apparently this spot has a following. Bring a large pocketbook ... and duct tape.

I want to first start by saying that this particular review rating is for TODAY's experience with…read morethe wife of the owner. She has completely ruined the trend of positive experiences that we've had at this shop. My husband and I shop here often. Ever since we discovered and visited this place the first time, we've often found real treasures. And today was no different from that perspective. We found a treasure. Long story short and without putting all of our business out there, her husband made a verbal agreement with us that we could pay on an item over time but still take it home today. We didn't ask for it. He offered. We accepted. We didn't have our truck with us so we had to come back and pick the item up. We also purchased 3 bar stools (paid in full) that we needed to come back for as well. We returned at 5pm today as we said we would. Paul wasn't there. His wife was. Once we announced what we were there to pick up, she said "about that. We don't make payment plans. This is a business. If you want your item you're going to have to pay for it in full today". So first of all, I know it's a damn business. Duh. And your husband made a business transaction and verbal agreement 5 hours ago. Even took a down payment. But you know, you're messing with my energy so let me go ahead and pay you this damn money! I don't need you calling no police on my husband who is a black man. And yes, I state that on purpose. Next I said we also needed to pick up the stools that we already paid for. She said she didn't know anything about picking up no stools. So that's what we're doing? So that's the game we're playing. So you know about a verbal agreement that your husband made with a black man that you're now reneging on but you don't remember that I PAID IN FULL for the barstools that I came to pick up?! Okay. Well here's my receipt. Furthermore, my husband gives her his credit card to pay the balance on the item since she reneged on an agreement that her husband made. My husband's name is on the credit card. Duh. And so she asks "Are you Chip"? No I'm Peter Pan! WTF?! So my husband said "here, you need to see my ID?" She says "oh no, I needed to look up your name for the item." You're lying. Because If that was REALLY the case, you would have looked up the same name on the damn credit card. Can't even fake the discrimination. During the conversation over the renege of their promise to let us pay over time, she said "I don't know you. I've never seen you in here before". Now this is the point I had to keep myself in check because I was about to snap out. She was the one who helped her husband 5 hours ago to wrap an item for us. When we came back to the front of the store, she had ran off. My husband asked her husband, "where'd your wife go". "She went in the back". Probably because she didn't want to help a black man. Point is this. You're lying. You don't REMEMBER seeing us in the store. You just saw us 5 hours ago. So get your facts straight. It's not that you've never seen us before. MAYBE you don't REMEMBER seeing us before (and that's assuming positive intent). We were there 5 hours ago. And you ran. And then she KEPT talking saying "we tried a payment plan once before..." blah blah blah blah. That ain't got shit to do with us. Not shit. Your husband made the agreement. Yes, we know it wasn't you. Clearly. Stop talking. I gave you your damn money. Now give me my shit. $400+ later, we are happy with our purchase but the experience with that woman was TERRIBLE. In the future, if she's the one working, we will turn around.

I wasn't looking for more dishes, but I found a set marked down that reminded me of cappuccinos. And I thought they would be perfect to add to our home. A second find was a sofa we weren't even looking for. The owners are so thoughtful and accommodating, making shopping here a joy. Highly recommend stopping in and taking a look around. You never know what you'll find! Tip: clearance stuff is in the back!
