Johnny had done it again! Great crew. Very friendly with great service, drinks, and fresh pastries, cookies and yum yums! Just like in Crest hill. Having a problem uploading photos. Ill be back to upload photos. Place is open 7-7 M-F Sat & Sun 8-7. Well worth ur stop. My fav the Abueluta latte is there. With a 1/2 pump of cane sugar. Great addition to this strip mall!

    Such a cute place!

Went here yesterday for dessert and some coffee after dinner time for us. This cute little place attracted our eyes so we decided to give it a try. My boyfriend had one of the coffees and he really liked it. I must admit, I'm not a coffee drinker, but I loaded up on dessert. I had the Peanut butter & jelly Macaron which was really good & fresh. And the Dulce de Leche empanada which was yummy. My Dad used to drink chocolate de Abuelita when we were little, so next time I will give a drink a try. And I'll also get more desserts!

Very cute coffee and pastry place! We got the Nutella Danish and Tres leches cake! They also have good coffee options here.

I wanted to write a review because I worked here for about a month before being suddenly fired…read more The owner is nice, but her husband, who manages everything, created a very uncomfortable work environment. He frequently brought up politics, demographics, and "statistics" at work in ways that felt inappropriate and often came across as biased. It wasn't the kind of environment I expected from a workplace. I personally chose not to engage with these conversations because I was there to work, and I try to keep my personal beliefs separate from my workplace. However, being repeatedly exposed to these types of comments from management made the environment feel unprofessional. I also noticed that he would tell us certain employees had quit, but after speaking with those employees, I learned that was not always what happened. This made me feel like there was a lack of honesty and transparency in how situations were handled. One comment that really stuck with me was when he told me and another young female employee that we'd be prettier if we spoke more intelligently and that men would like us more. We are both very young girls, and that comment was incredibly inappropriate and made us uncomfortable. I was also told that if I came in early every day, I would receive a $1 raise. I did exactly that, and I received the raise on my final paycheck. Just a few days later, I was fired. It was confusing to be recognized with a raise and then immediately let go without being given a meaningful explanation. I was told I was being fired because I supposedly had an attitude with a customer. When I asked what had happened, I wasn't given a clear explanation and was simply told they had decided not to continue my employment. I work hard, take my jobs seriously, and I rarely leave negative reviews because I know everyone is trying their best. I didn't contact them afterward because I felt I had already been treated disrespectfully. After the way I was spoken to and the lack of honest communication, I didn't feel another conversation would have changed anything. As a customer, I also found the food to be average, especially for the price. Before I even worked here, my mom and I had cheesecake from the café on a few different occasions, and every time it had a noticeable freezer-burn taste. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality. Based on my experience as both an employee and a customer, I would encourage people to support another family-owned café instead.

I have the Cinnamon Kookie Butter Chai Latte and it was delicious, sad they don't offer it in a bigger size cup. Lol. But it's a must try if you are unsure what to get. The Vibe is a little hole in a wall where you can work out of or purchase a comic book.

Had to pay extra for additional. Creme was the size of a dot, butter a dime and preserves were barely one teaspoon. For the expense of tea service, you should really cover what your guests needs are. Tea was excellent, although they now changed their policy on tea service and you only get two choices, when prior it was more. Probably due to the economy.

Our family had an amazing time. The food was excellent. We started with a zucchini soup (loved it!). Daughter has a chilled strawberry soup (it was great, like a smoothie w/ cream topped). I had the jammy bird. Fantastic! The jalapeño raspberry jam complimented the candies pecans, turkey & cheddar. Very filling. My wife had the pesto turkey (it was recommended warm). Our daughter did the cheese flat bread. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Teas were excellent. I tried the hot cinnamon spice (my go to didn't disappoint) and tried a recommended Tower of London. Excellent recommendation. My wife enjoyed the Chocolate Chai Supreme and the Tower of London too. We tried a blueberry lemon scone that the three of us shared. Everything is made fresh and in-house and I could tell. Everything was very flavorful. It was a great brunch experience for us. Since we came between "tea times" we were able to meet the owner (was in that day). There was also a special guest there and decided to take the opportunity to get a quick pic w/ the Queen. Loved the owners story (on the front of her menus). Definitely will be going out and have a few friends I know would love it! They have a guest book and noticed people come from all over to visit. I live in Shorewood and didn't realize we had this gem in our back yard. You can tell The Royal Tea Room is a labor of love. We'll be back!
