We absolutely love this place. Kaffe Crepe won our hearts. We ordered one savory (Turkey Pesto) and one sweet (Opera), of course. We started with the Turkey Pesto and it was absolutely delicious. Full of flavor. Just the right amount of everything. Then, the sweet part. The Opera was like eating a warm PB sandwich. It was the perfect combo to my Neopolitan frappe. The crepes itself were delicious and, if eaten alone, can surely be addicting. It was soft, easy to chew, and had a subtle flavor of its own, which made it not bland. We have been fortunate to have a small handful of creperies open up in Reno over the past several years, though not all have been able to keep their doors open. The cafe is intimate, and is best for small gatherings (though they also have a picnic table and some smaller tables outside to use when the weather is nice). Definitely order a savory crepe for yourself and split a sweet crepe w/a friend to enhance your journey to Crepe Nirvana... I was already having a difficult time choosing between the Cowgirl and the Mediterranean, but when I heard the daily special, I was sold! I can't remember what it was called, but it had brie, turkey, fresh pears, and other deliciousness that I cannot recall. I am vegetarian, so I opted for arugula instead of turkey, which was a total win! It is a joy to watch the Chef prepare her crepes. Ingredients are very fresh and high quality. You can pretty much taste the love she pours into each crepe. Her crepes also have the perfect consistency- light & airy, delicate buttery, with just a dash of Heaven. I was impressed with the variety of healthy entries as well as all the variations of sweet crepes they could make. I had the Mediterranean. It was huge and I said something about getting a box because I wouldn't finish it. Guess what! I finished it. I also had a Vanilla Latte that was perfect. The owners were delightful. So friendly! The Parisian and cow girl crepes are my favorite. I don't know much about crepes so I can't speak for authenticity with crepes being a French thing but the Parisian is light, yummy. This is our first time here. We were greeted upon entering the establishment. The young lady immediately directed us the the menus sitting at the register. This was a good idea because the board they have hanging would be harder for some patrons to read. They have a very large selection of crepes. I ordered the salmon crepe and my daughter ordered a crepe filled with chicken, artichoke heart and a light drizzle of balsamic vinegar. We were not disappointed. Each one was generously filled. I've been to Kaffe Crepe several times and have always been met with friendly greetings and smiles. Who doesn't love a crepe? This place is still insanely popular since it's opening several months ago and I can certainly see why. They make fresh crepes and keep the atmosphere light even with a never ending line to the door. I didn't feel rushed to eat but did have a bit of wait which is understandable with just a few griddles pumping out crepes. However, for the small size of the shop, there wouldn't be a way to do more. They offer loads of sweet and savory options including daily specials.
