Great matcha here! Parking can be a little intimidating, but as long as you're not parking in the architecture parking area, I think you are okay for parking in most spaces for getting a drink at Kaffeine. The service was great! I had a quick meeting here and I sat inside. Because the place was so quiet, even though there were just 6 other people inside, they were pretty much listening to our conversation loud and clear. It couldn't be helped.
The people were super friendly! I honestly liked this place a lot. It has very cozy and welcoming vibes. The mango sticky rice matcha was tasty. The coffee was solid. I'm happy she told me it was on the sweet side, so I could get it half sweet.
I visited SLO for work and I came in for the lotus. I heard this place was good, and gave it a try. First coming in the staff was very friendly and welcoming. It didn't take long to get my drinks. I love the little "self serve" station of lids, straw, etc. I couldn't decide between the 2 so I ordered both. They are both really good. I had to stir the mango for a bit but it ended up being my favorite. Definitely recommended, both the white lotus and the mango with the coconut milk foam This seems to be a chill place for locals as some were playing card games and some were doing work on the computer. Clean place as well!
GET THE DOUBLE MATCHA CLOUD LATTE IT IS SO GOOD!!! One of my fav matcha drinks that I've ever had, perfectly lightly sweetened with a great matcha flavor. The cloud foam on top adds the perfect creaminess to the drink and was so refreshing on a sunny morning. All our drinks came out quick and the girls up front were so nice and helpful with suggestions. I cannot wait to be back the next time I'm in SLO :)
The last time I was in town, Kaffein was a different coffee shop, but I'm nothing if not a creature of habit. Once I realized the space was still a coffee shop, I was more than happy to check it out! And it is just as nice! The service is warm and personable, it's bright and airy inside and the menu isn't overwhelming. I got the White Forest Mocha Latte and it was so delicious! I'll definitely be back the next time in town. Cheers!
I absolutely loved the vibe of this coffee shop. Adorable decor inside, and I love their logo! Very clean store with plenty of seating indoor and outside. Service was very friendly and coffee was made with care. I asked the cashier what latte I should get and she suggested the white forest mocha latte, which was white chocolate and cherry flavored. It was so good! I got it iced and the flavor combo was something I've never tried before and it was so yummy. My friend got the blended caramel latte and she said it was outrageously good. I tied it, it was too sweet for me but I'm Guessing that's the point. We shared the blueberry muffin and it was so soft and sweet, tasted homemade. Will definitely come back when I'm in town!

However, I appreciate the energy of the shop (indoor/outdoor type of seating) which made the entire place super open and inviting. I liked the general theme of it being a "healthy" option. Overall, super cute and I recommend visiting for the aesthetic and environment!!
Two days in SLO meant 2 days at Kaffein. This little quaint restaurant was perfect for our coffee mornings. I had the scones on both days and I absolutely enjoyed it: Both medium and dark roast coffee were also very good. Outside seating is a plus especially if the inside is crowded.
Kaffein offers one of the better matchas in Slo. I really liked that the cups were small, it's the right amount to get a little caffeine in. My drink could've been stronger in matcha flavor, but the blueberry flavor was there. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The worker was very nice and friendly! ig: @cravingswithcat

Great service: kudos to the server who suggested the strawberry matcha drink. Loved working here in the patio. Even after cafe hours, they allowed me and my friend to stay and use their patio/wifi to finish up our work for the day.

The regular matcha latte was grainy and honestly tasted like straight milk. I was a little skeptical to try the blueberry lavender pomegranate one but the pomegranate wasn't really prominent. The matcha in that one and the strawberry was much better quality than the regular matcha latte. However, the strawberry milk overpowered the flavor of the matcha and was very sweet. Would definitely order the coffee next time instead.
We were walking around downtown SLO and wanted to grab a matcha before. I found this place based on the good yelp reviews so decided to try it. I ordered an Iced Strawberry Matcha latte. The matcha was good but the strawberry was a little over powering so I would do 1/2 sweet next time. But I still enjoyed this one. Customer service was good. The store is really cute. They have picnic benches outside and seemed like a great spot if you planned to hangout or do some work. The restroom was very clean which is always appreciated at a coffee shop. read more

Meh. I got the mango sticky rice matcha and the banana bread hojicha and both were not bad but also not great LOL the best thing about the matcha was the mango cold foam but the matcha itself was watery and not strong. (Although the color did look promising!) I would ask how many grams of matcha powder they use before ordering if you like your matcha on the stronger side. The banana bread hojicha was lacking flavor. It did have a subtle earthy roast to it as described, but where was the banana?! And again, it wasn't strong either and ended up being watery as well once the ice melted. Overall, drinks were just alright. I'd come back solely to try their coffee and/or to get some work done. read more
We're visiting SLO and had some time to kill so came here to do some work. I had the mango sticky rice matcha and it was delicious; however, the Wi-Fi just wasn't working for either me or my boyfriend. When my boyfriend informed the lady who was at the counter that the Wi-Fi was not working, she just deadpan stared at him and said "Well it's working for other people" and did not offer any help at all. (FWIW, I also don't think the Wi-Fi was working for others, as I saw many hotspots listed in the wi-fi menu) We felt like this was pretty rude/ruined our experience here and we left shortly thereafter. Really sad because the atmosphere was really nice and the drink was delicious! read more

Was walking around town a little while my daughter is at Cal Poly orientation. Found this gem! Relaxing, pretty, and spacious, this café is just wonderful. I had an iced cold brew and a plain croissant. Great little breakfast with a friendly staff and fresh vibe. Looks like easy parking, too. read more

Such a cute little coffee shop! The savory scone (kimchi and cheese) and the iced sugar free red lotus was delicious! The young man helping me at the register was so sweet. I also liked how they sell bread there as well. read more

The coffee shop has street parking as well as a parking lot which makes it an easy stop. I ordered a blueberry muffin and an americano. The blueberry had a sugary crust and it was good. The americano was also enjoyable. I got my coffee to go and put a stopper in to prevent spilling on my 3-minute drive back to SLO High. By the time I got there I realized that the coffee lid was ill-fitting and coffee had spilled in my cup holder. Thankfully I had baby wipes to clean the mess. I cleaned the lid and put it back on the cup to walk into SLO High. Thankfully I had wrapped a napkin around the cup because my hand would've been been covered in espresso! I'd only recommend getting coffee here if you're enjoying it in the shop. If you're driving or walking, prepare for a mess. Please get lids that fit the cups! read more

I came in today and got an iced latte, but it was one of their speciality ones with cherry and white chocolate (white forest mocha latte) . I got this small, and had oat milk in it, and it totaled to 6.75. The price vs the taste wasn't perfect, I think I would want to give them another try. Their espresso was pretty smooth, but I think the specialty drink I got wasn't for me. The workers there were nice, but I will try again with a different drink and see if I like them more next time. I did not try their pastries but they had a few. read more
