Berry scone and cafe au lait
    Maria O.

This place has plenty of parking so it's pretty accessible. I was warmly greeted and my questions were answered gracefully. The interior is decorated with origami cranes and Japanese art. I ordered a cafe au lait and a berry scone. The scone was baked perfectly and went well with my warm beverage.

The pastries were a big miss for me and the matcha latte was mid and tasted diluted. The orange cardamom bun was dry and the spinach danish was soggy. There was a hair in the bottom of one pastry liner.

We ordered the vanilla latte and matcha latte. The matcha was high quality and tasted what matcha should taste like. My husband enjoyed his vanilla latte. We also ordered the almond croissant and asked for it heated which made the filling overflow and the croissant a bit soggy since it was heated in the microwave. Not sure if it was in the microwave seconds too long, but next time we will not ask for the pastries to be heated. But the almond croissant was still tasty just very messy. Customer service was very friendly.

Visited one coffee shop and now I'm debating moving to Los Osos. Yokoso is everything good about the small coastal town of Los Osos. This cafe is so cozy that I almost canceled my plans to soak in the neighborly vibes. I visited on a road trip up the coast of CA and grabbed a sweet pastry and an iced matcha latte with vanilla to-go. My only mistake was ordering a small. The drink was gone in minutes. I'd easily return and order this matcha by the gallon and I suggest you do the same.

Cortado with oat milk. Perfect. Can get with a matcha flavored Pocky (Japanese cookie stick). $5.50.

These are the sweetest, most welcoming people! The coffee drinks are top notch and the hang is good for socializing or working. I enjoyed a delicious ham and cheese croissant. Decor has a Japanese theme. WiFi is medium-good; had a few issues with a dropped signal. Pups welcome at outdoor tables. Seating is mostly tables with some soft seating in back. Will return!

Yokoso Coffee is again a wonderful place to go! They often add new pastries, including pies and cakes. I can't recommend their Matcha Cake enough. Balanced, light, fluffy, and a joy for my taste buds! And as always, the service is excellent, and Michael and his team are very kind-hearted.

    Ceremonial Matcha Latte.. simply delicious!

Great family ran coffee spot. Very cozy, clean. Opened not to long ago, and they run the place with love!!! You can feel it .. and taste it in their products . Soft music, the family are very inviting! Made us feel at home! Great matcha, great tea lemonade. Great drinks!!! Delicious pastries! Please give them a try... no reason to go to Starbucks!!

A new hidden gem! Great ambience and charming family-run business. The owners are friendly, and treat their customers like family. We will definitely visit their coffee shop when in Los Osos.

Seriously, look at the crumb on that scone. It just falls apart in all the right ways.

Stopped in for the first time this morning after driving past this little gem for months now. Needed a pick-me-up and decided on some place local. I arrived a few minutes after opening and I was immediately greeted by friendly staff. I was taken by the display of delectible and enticing pastries. I decided to go with the Cheddar, Bacon, and Chive Scone. The crumb on the scone is amazing and it melts in my mouth (I'm writing this as I am enjoying it). There is just enough chive that I get that sweet, garlicky flavor without it being too overpowering. And do I detect buttermilk? For a beverage I was initially going to go with an almond milk latte, but then I saw the Cafe Miel with cinnamon and honey. Just the right amount of cinnamon and honey and the espresso is so smooth. I should have asked which almond milk they use because it it so creamy. Great ambiance too. The sunrise hits the windows just perfect and bathes the already warm atmosphere in an even more uplifting light. There is amazing artwork on the walls as well as beautiful traditional Japanese robes and umbrellas. And doggos are allowed on the patio. Great food, friendly staff, comforting environment. Definitely coming back here to study one day.

    Cafe Miel and mocha

The owners Michael and Marie are so very friendly. The food and coffee were excellent. We had the banana chocolate chip sourdough loaf and also the gluten-free muffin. We tried a mocha and bought some pottery. Ambuience is light and airy full of customers that are happy and catching up with one another.

I purchased the pain au levain, in lieu of a baguette, for $12. The price is pretty steep for a loaf, but seems to be the going rate for these smaller boutique bake shops. The bread itself was warm when I purchased it, which was awesome. Enjoyed it with my coffee, but did find it to be a little doughy on the inside. Good flavor, but not something I would come back for. I'd rate it a solid 3.5. I also purchased the chocolate chip cookies. I think I completely went brain dead when I bought these, because I did read they were gluten-free and vegan, but still bought the pack of 6. Man, they looked like chocolate chip cookies, but didn't taste like chocolate to me, at all. For a regular chocolate chip cookie lover, it's a 1 star. For someone looking for a gluten-free and vegan cookie, this could be a winner. Maybe.

Hello! You had me at absolutely charming!…read more First of all, I've never been to Morro Bay and it was probably the only torrential rainy day in a Century. Being from Seattle, I'm nothing but used to the rain. But this little visit to the bakery warmed my heart. As we drove to the bakery we stopped at Morro Rock, , so I could actually see the amazing 23 million year old monolith. So fun to see the surfers out there! As we started driving into a neighborhood to get to the basket, I was like, "What? Am I going to Gramma's house?" And then, we pull into the freaking cutest little beach house with a garden that made the bleakest day make you feel like sunshine and rainbows. Upon entry, the baked spices and smells blow your olfactories! Yummm! We felt the young lady was very overwhelmed with all the baking!! And maybe our dumbfoundedness was overwhelming. Or maybe I was overwhelmed with so many amazing options and goodies!! She had just pulled something out of the oven. We ordered lemon curd and raspberry tarts, brownies, curry croissants, ham and cheese croissant, french onion soup croissant and some other cookie that someone snuck in on the sly. Sadly, there was no seating there, so we had to take everything to go. Luckily we were only 10 min away. Everything was epically delicious. Especially the flaky curry croissants!!!! They really know how to do it!!! If we had more time we would try their bread. I can't imagine what this place is like when it's peak season but it must be crazy! It is a must visit!!!

I loved it so much that I ordered ramen again the next night lol. That time, I tried the spicy miso ramen and omg, I think I loved it even more! The overall vibe felt like the employees didn't want to be there. Service was extremely slow, and it seemed like they were short-staffed. At one point I went inside for a soda refill and saw one of the employees with her purse out counting cash tips. A few minutes later she was serving food, which wasn't something I expected to see. Our food came out in 15-minute intervals instead of all together, so some of us were finished eating before others even received their meals. We also got drink refills with no ice, which was just another odd detail. To top it off, everyone in our group developed diarrhea just a few hours after eating there. I can't say for certain what caused it, but it was enough that none of us will be returning. Very disappointing experience overall.
