First time here. Ordered an iced matcha with added caramel syrup, and an iced chai. My fault for thinking the caramel was the kind they drizzle around the cup. I couldn't taste any caramel flavor and I had to ask the barista if they added it because I can barely taste the caramel. 3 stars for the flavor of the matcha drink. Husband said the iced chai was good. Nothing fancy. Service was prompt.
Very cute shop with great coffee and small breakfast items. It was busy when I visited but my coffee came out quickly enough. I did order a bagel with cream cheese and there was a good ten minute wait for that however. Great coffee and friendly staff.
Cute coffee shop next to our hotel Residence Inn. Lots of seating both inside and outside. They have pastries and smoothies as well. Service is prompt and friendly.
Staying at the Springhill Suits right next door to the SLO Ranch, this place was a needed coffee spot. Hotel coffee sucks. We all know this. Haha. Lucys Coffee was excellent every morning and my wifes name is Lucy, so it made it even better! Scones were very good too!
We were looking for coffee for a ride back to Ventura county. This coffee spot is located inside the SLO marketplace. We stopped in on New Year's Day so they did not have any pastries. What a bummer but understood. Staff is nice and our orders were out quickly. Spacious spot with some seating inside and also outdoor seating as a marketplace. I will definitely be back when in San Luis Obispo.!

The service is fast, reliable and quick, perfect for on-the-go runs. Also, it's quiet with faint background music which improves the vibe of Lucy's. Finally, the food is great! For example, a kids hot chocolate has a decent amount, but I personally love how much time they put into JUST a hot chocolate. The actual liquid is not an overwhelming hot but rather a comforting lukewarm. Additionally, the marshmallows are lightly charred to add more depth, which I just appreciate! I look forward to coming to this awesome cozy place in the future! -Nancy

Such a neat place with good coffee and pastries. I tried the pumpkin latte with oatmilk and their pumpkin loaf was thick and not too sweet. Great customer service too!
Nice coffee spot located in the middle of a wonderful shopping area in SLO. This is a nice place to grab a coffee while you walk around with family and friends.
I wanted to update my review because I ended up going to Lucy's three days in a row! We wanted a light breakfast one day and ordered their avocado and goat cheese toast. Both were delicious! Coffee was great every day.
My husband got this "peanut butter smoothie". He's a huge peanut butter fan while I just like it sometimes. We both died this and agree it's not strong enough, tastes like milk. The smoothie tastes more of almond milk and date than peanut butter. We'd say less than half closer to 30% I think there was banana in it too. We wouldn't get this again the title is not the star of the show. Still it's 85f out so we're going to finish it but it's just okay. We were greeted right away even though it was a little busy inside, that was nice.
My wife and I went to this lovely Lucy's coffee. I had a delicious latte and she had some tea. Everyone was very friendly. We sat outside where there were picnic tables. It was a beautiful day. Thank you for the wonderful latte. I will be back on my way through again.

I was looking for salads at the new San Luis Ranch Market, but they were closed for seasonal remodeling..so I spotted Lucy's and thought that a bagel might do, since this was breakfast/lunch time. The place is new and spotless, with a few tables for studying. I was warmly greeted, and immediately spotted an Avocado Toast option which would fill the bill for a meal. They nicely took my name, while I wandered around taking photos. I do think they need more study tables, or even tables inside, since I had to keep placing my beverage on occupied spaces while I took photos. I did discover an outdoor table with a great umbrella, and there are lots of other outdoor tables and lounge spaces to enjoy your beverage. The Avocado toast on French bread was fresh and perky, with tomatoes on top and black pepper. I might like a bit of variety in the seasoning, and the avos smashed down more, but it tasted great! read more

My fiance & I were in town for a wedding and we wanted to explore local coffee shops. Lucy's was conveniently 5 minutes away from our hotel. I got the iced latte & my fiance got their hot latte multiple days in a row & it was perfectly made each time! read more
Great coffee spot! Their avocado toast is so delicious! Ordered toast with their peanut butter date smoothie (amazing) and a cinnamon brown sugar iced latte! (Also so good) - great for a light breakfast and little shops all around! Very nice area. Staff was very friendly and accommodating! / Gluten free options also! read more
I love coming to this coffee shop after my toddler's play group. The workers are always super friendly and fast service. I've enjoyed all the drinks I've tasted, never too sweet, and just the perfect sweetness from their syrup. They're also located in a super cute area with eating outside, along with indoor seating and plenty of space. I have yet to taste their food and little bites, but I'm sure it won't be long. read more

The location of this store is super cute and a great place to hang out on weekends once more businesses open up. The coffee was average and just fine. The matcha was not good that I ended up throwing most of it away. I don't recommend the matcha, try sticking to coffee! (ig: @cravingswithcat) read more

Lucy's has the best vanilla latte in town! Toasts too! The avocado toast and peanut butter + honey are my go. My son loves their hot chocolate and their morning buns. We have been visiting Lucy's for years and will never stop because it's always great. The baristas are always kind therefore create a warm environment. read more

Lucy's Coffee is a charming and inviting café. The space was clean and thoughtfully designed, with minimalist décor and greenery that created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The cashier was courteous and engaging, taking the time to make small talk and demonstrating genuine care for both her work and the customers. I ordered an iced caramel latte and was impressed by its balanced flavor--smooth espresso complemented by a subtle sweetness that was not overpowering. Parking: not in downtown, free parking lot Interior: spacious, clean, well lit, airy, simplistic yet comfortable WI-FI and outlets avail Coffee: mocha and cappuccino were both good, not great. Food: - Toast with whipped goat cheese and pepper jelly was excellent, the combination is a wonderful match, can choose from avail assorted breads. - Almond croissant is crispy with almond paste and slivered almonds. - Morning Bun was not too sweet, crunchy outside, and soft inside with laminated layers of cinnamon sugar and butter. read more

I was visiting SLO and wanted good coffee, not hotel coffee, to start my day. Walked in with my leashed dog to grab a cup to go and was met with a curt "Service animals only" -- no hello, no good morning, no welcome. It wasn't busy: no line, just a few couples at tables on a Saturday morning. Later, a nearby shop clerk told me she'd had the exact same rude treatment here, and I see several other Google reviews echoing this unfriendly, anti-dog attitude. If being polite is too hard, maybe coffee isn't the only thing that's bitter here. Can't rate the coffee or food -- they didn't want my business. read more

Thanks Lucy's for the down home toasted goodies. We had avocado toast and peanut butter, banana and honey toast on multi grain bread. They could be more toasted but otherwise good for the price. Trust me, most everyone else is charging a ridiculous amount for these items. We sat outside and took in the nice weather. Hubby enjoyed a cappuccino. It's nice to be away from the hecticness of downtown, especially during the pandemic. read more

I love Lucy's such a cute & simple coffee shop! They make housemade syrups which is super cool & basic breakfast/brunch foods. Staff is also friendly. What I loved most was the spacious, spacious-ness! Ample of seating and noise level is at a low-medium. It is the perfect environment to study or do work! read more
