Their outdoor patio areas are a big selling point; the lower one is expansive and has a large lounge area with comfortable seating, and the upper patio has various tables and beautiful ocean views - so relaxing! The perfect spot to do some work on your laptop or meet a friend for coffee and food. Their coffee is absolutely delicious and they have a good variety of breakfast and lunch options. I highly recommend their iced lattes, smoothies, and croissant / breakfast sandwiches! Service is always friendly and can be a tad slower sometimes, but generally expected in the generally quieter, sleepy town of Shell Beach (except during the busy summer months). Ordered a vanilla almond milk latte and Milky Way oat milk latte, we waited 10 minutes for the coffee and the drink was warm with ice cubes floating at the top. After a good stir, it was just "okay". We stopped by Steaming Bean after a mini trip to Shell Beach, and the location couldn't be more convenient - just off the main strip. Super cute spot with plenty of seating options: a dog-friendly front patio, lots of indoor tables, and a huge back patio with ocean views. The breakfast menu had great choices like burritos, avocado toast, and more. We ordered the breakfast burritos and they were delicious, especially with the variety of salsas that you can grab from the fridge. We got oat milk cappuccinos that were tasty as well. It was delicious and very filling, came out quickly shortly after our drinks. Nice outdoor seating area if you don't want to sit inside. No dogs allowed--only service animals FYI. Cute coffee shop but very loud inside. Staff were nice. Drip coffee was good, once you pay for it it's self-serve so that is the best option if you're in a hurry. Vanilla latte was a bit sweet but good. Breakfast burrito was very good, eggs nice and fluffy. The maple scone was too sweet and dry. The latte and burrito took a long time to arrive, but at least they were hot and fresh. If we didn't get the dry scone I probably would have given this 4 stars. read more

We love this little spot each year when we come to Pismo on vacation! We walk from The Seacrest to this gem of a coffee shop. My daughter highly recommends the Cookies & Cream Smoothie! She wants to come back before we leave to get another! We didn't try any food, but saw many in the shop eating & enjoying their drinks. The server/cashier was very sweet and knowledgeable about their products. I love that she asked for confirmation about me adding an extra shot on a drink that originally already had 2 shots in. This was a good pit stop for coffee heading to SoCal, especially if you're planning to grab cinnamon rolls at Old West Cinnamon Rolls. We got the cold brew and Kona mocha which is a dark chocolate mocha, and I got it with oat milk. Glad they had alternative milks (without extra charge I think). The cold brew was light and smooth, Kona mocha was not to sweet which I liked. Interior was cute and they had about four tables indoors and an outdoor balcony too.
