Visited Tikehau Lounge with some friends on a weekday evening for cocktails after dinner. We were greeted by a friendly face and promptly seated in the outdoor section. We did get a peek indoors as we walked through. The space was dimly lit, well-decorated with trendy patterns and furniture, and overall, inviting. The outdoor patio, in contrast, was more well-lit but still comfortable. The cocktail menu was fun to explore and our server did not hesitate to offer suggestions. I ordered the Pandan Killer Milk punch, which is 8yr aged rum, Planteray Cut & dry rum, pandan liquer, clarified coconut, pineapple, vanilla, lime, and nutmeg. I was truly blown away! It's simple presentation was deceitful in the best way possible. All flavors were beautifully captured and left nothing else to be desired. The Pina Colada on the other hand....my friend felt extremely underwhelmed. The other two cocktails we had in the party were the Ultra Violet Seventy Five, which was very gin-forward and the Snoop PPOG, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed. Aside from the Pina Colada, we had a great first experience at Tikehau Lounge! Would visit again and certainly recommend!

Plenty of parking. Came for happy hour. 2-5pm daily. Might be crowded later in the day, but on a Tuesday at 2:30 only a few people. Ordered the cannon ball, upgraded with the ovenproof rum. Quite tart with the lilikoi . Not something I would usually get , but figured to try a local drink. . Wife got the Mai tai and onion dip. I prefer the Mai Tai from monkey pod , to either of the drinks from tikehau . My wife preferred tikehau. So ymmv. But can't beat the price, $10!

Went in and although a bit underwhelming what surprised us the most was the 3% Employee Benefit charge that this establishment charges which is the owners responsibility to pay for their employees and should be disclosing on their menu they charge this 3% employee benefit fee based on the Hawaii State website. Although, It was a minor fee based on our bill, but a bit cheeky of the owners. We will not patronize the establishment again and we have never seen this on our bills in other resteraunts that are in Wailea.

Modern chill vibe- open, bright, great music- not your typical Tiki Bar however- super tiki drinks. Mai Tai was average- The Thousand Peaks was nice, had a complex smoky flavor from the mezcal- cute surfboard garnish. Staff were great- offered suggestions and went over menu items in detail. Bartender was friendly and happy. It's a popular spot, filled up quick.

A 9th islander favorite spot! We traveled from Vegas looking for great cocktails/good vibes and stumbled across this place. Poke, hands down the best! Cocktails are very much elevated and thought out. I believe our bartender was Dom and he was awesome.. was welcoming, great convo, and gave recommendations. We came here back to back on our trip! 10/10!!!

Happened to stumble upon this place while pulling into the parking lot and I thought it's happy hour, let's go have a drink. They have an indoor seating area and bar and some tables that are outside but well covered. Great service by our waitress as they had a couple of happy hour co rails, $5 Maui brewing beer, and sone happy hour food options. I was trying to to decide between the Mai tai and the Rum cannonball. Our waitress told me the cannonball is only something you can get there and so I picked that one. The drink was delicious and refreshing and strong. It was actually a slushie and beautifully decorated too. They even have zero proof liquor so your friends that don't drink alcohol an also enjoy. Lots of food options but I didn't order any so I can't comment on them other than what I saw on others tables looked good. I definitely will come back here the next time I have a chance.

Love coming here for specially crafted cocktails and delicious pupus! We love to sit at the bar because it's more fun and communal. The staff and service are excellent as well.

Amazing mai tais!! I ordered the Maui onion dip I cannot recommend this enough. If you like a savory onion flavor this dip is for you. It's served with potato chips. Very lovely ambiance in there and the servers / bartenders are great!

Best drinks we found in all of Maui including our newest favorite the Pandan Milk Punch! They spend 24 hours preparing it and it's amazing. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. The outside section is very nice. We ended up coming back three times and will be back in our next trip!

Drinks are good. Pulled pork sliders are surprisingly really good! We got the 1944 mai tai and takes two to mango and both were excellent. Kai was amazing present server who made some good drinks

Great little gem. That drinks were delicious and the poke was outstanding. The staff is attentive and friendly. My only knock is that I'm used to tiki drinks being decent size. My wife's drink was in a martini glass so it was about 3 sips worth of alcohol

My husband and I stopped in for a round of drinks and had a great time! I got the Spicy Liliko'i Hibiscus and loved it - so delicious! My husband got a Hawaiian beer and loved it as well. Super cute indoor seating - plenty of parking inside of shopping center. Great service - Bar seating available too!

Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and it ended up being such a fun night! The vibe at TikiHau is already great, but they had a guest bartender from Tiki's in Wailuku that night which made it feel extra special. The whole place had that laid-back island lounge energy perfect for celebrating and catching up with friends. Food wise, everything was fresh and delicious. The ahi tuna sashimi was super clean and buttery, and the shrimp ceviche was bright, citrusy, and full of flavor. I loved the lettuce cups. Definitely perfect light bites for sharing while hanging out. I'm currently not drinking, but honestly you wouldn't even notice because their mocktails are so good. I had the Pink Moon and the Surf's Up, and both were super refreshing and beautifully made. It's always a win when a place puts just as much effort into their zero-proof drinks as the cocktails. Between the tropical atmosphere, great food, and fun drinks, it made for the perfect birthday celebration. I'll definitely be back for the vibes alone.

However, the owner took the time to respond and explain that the entire shopping center wing was experiencing cooling issues and that the restaurant was dealing with significant staffing shortages at the time. While that doesn't completely change the experience we had, I appreciate that the owner acknowledged the challenges and responded professionally rather than dismissing the feedback. One observation I would offer is that, as a customer, it was difficult to tell who was serving tables. I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. That being said, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED REVIEW AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6.21.26 I appreciate the response. It's telling that you addressed the air conditioning, disputed the gender of an employee, and questioned whether I was even there, yet didn't meaningfully respond to the concerns about service, timing, attentiveness, or food quality. If a customer leaves with a poor experience, the question isn't whether they perfectly recalled every detail. The question is why they left with that impression in the first place. I suspect future readers can draw their own conclusions from both the review and the response. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the most disappointing dining experience of our Hawaii trip. We specifically asked to sit indoors because we wanted a break from the Maui heat after spending the day outside. Unfortunately, we quickly realized there was no air conditioning, making the indoor seating barely any cooler than outside. The restaurant also felt severely understaffed. It took around 10 minutes just to get a Diet Coke, and every time I asked for assistance, the woman working at the register seemed to defer the request rather than help or find someone who could. Meanwhile, some employees appeared more interested in chatting than helping customers, while only one or two staff members seemed to be working the floor. I understand restaurants get busy, especially in a tourist area, but the issue wasn't just the wait--it was the feeling that customer service wasn't a priority. As for the food, it was nothing special. I ordered a steak that had a nice smoky flavor, but it arrived well done and overcooked. The rest of the meal was average at best and definitely not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. Between the lack of air conditioning, slow service, inattentive staff, and mediocre food, this was one of the few places in Hawaii where I genuinely regretted spending my money. Considering the location at The Shops at Wailea and the prices being charged, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and execution. There are far too many great dining options in Wailea to come back here.

Great food, great service, and the perfect spot for a relaxed late lunch. I'll definitely be back.

Tonight we visited Tommy Bahama, a restaurant we make a point to visit at least once every time…read morewe're on the Big Island or Maui. Unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing experience we've had. Looking back, we probably should have asked to speak with a manager while we were there, but after everything that happened, we simply felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. I'll start with the positives because there were several. The drinks were delicious, the sea bass was excellent, and the dessert was absolutely incredible. The pasta itself was a little overcooked and soggy, but the flavor was still very good. The disappointing part of our evening was the service. After our server initially introduced herself, it took quite a while before she returned to take our drink order. When we were ready to order dinner, my husband was still deciding between a couple of menu items. Rather than giving him another moment, our server became visibly impatient and said she would come back after delivering our drinks. It ended up being more than 10 minutes before she returned. When I asked whether the entrees came with bread, her response made me feel embarrassed for even asking. Since they didn't, we ordered the biscuits as an appetizer to enjoy while waiting for our meals. Our children's meals arrived promptly, which we appreciated. However, our server never once stopped by to see if the kids needed anything. I had to flag down another server just to get ketchup. Meanwhile, our server walked past our table several times without checking on us or asking if we'd like another round of drinks--which we actually would have ordered. When our entrees arrived, the biscuits still hadn't come out. Shortly afterward, our server finally checked on us. I let her know that since our meals had already arrived, we no longer needed the biscuits and simply asked that they not be included on the bill. Her response was, "Well, they're made fresh and in the oven now. I guess I can go tell the kitchen you don't want them anymore." I replied, "They were supposed to be our appetizer, and our meals are already here now." Before I could even finish my sentence, she walked away while I was still speaking and appeared to mumble something under her breath. That interaction left my husband and me feeling shocked and disappointed. We've dined at many restaurants over the years and have never felt spoken to in that manner. We had considered asking to speak with a manager at that point, but honestly, we just wanted to finish our meal and leave without any further uncomfortable interactions. This was especially disappointing because Tommy Bahama has always been one of our favorite restaurants and a place we genuinely look forward to visiting whenever we're in Hawaii. We hope this experience was an exception rather than the standard, because the food continues to be wonderful--the service simply did not match the quality we've come to expect.

Suggested tip is 25%, that's a huge red flag! Lahaina Brewing purchased Kohola brewing about one year ago. How I wish I had visited before that, because looking at historical Yelp reviews, the previous food offerings look SO much more interesting and were made with local and traditional products. Now what you get is $11 spam musubi, a pretzel that has both fish roe and sugary syrup on it (gross!) for $21, pseudo-Niçoise salad for $28 (WTF!), and imported shrimp cocktail for $5 a shrimp. Piss off! Even the server said it was a total rip-off. The menu is massively disappointing for those who actually have a frame of reference. Good thing we only came for beer. Tried the Kohola beer in Makawao and was very impressed. The Tall Story Pale Ale is really excellent, gold standard for pale ale, but you don't have to come here to enjoy it. Happy Hour is 2-5 p.m., $2 off Kohola draft and $4 off a glass of wine. Regular price beer is $8.50, fairly standard price. Unlike others, we had a good service experience.
