There are very few, VERY FEW, restaurants that offer a dollar for a dollar meal here in Libby! These people work hard to offer not only quality fresh food, but efficiency in preparedness. This used to be our favorite restaurant hands down. Something has changed and it's not for the better unfortunately. We have been dining at the restaurant weekly for the past couple of months. My husband meets some friends weekly for breakfast. While their breakfast is delicious the service is awful. It says on the door they open at 8 am. For the past few weeks no one is there to open the doors until 8:15-8:20 and each time there are excuses as to why she is late. They are now meeting at another restaurant. We went there for dinner tonight and I specifically asked about an item on the menu that sounds amazing with some unique ingredients for a Caesar salad. I had ordered it before and when it was delivered it was not at all as described on the menu. So this time I asked for clarification as to the ingredients and was assured it would be made as stated on the menu. Well- it arrived just as before only worse. The lettuce was brown and wilted and the special ingredients weren't there. When I mentioned it to the waitress she argued with me saying they were in it. One of the ingredients is cilantro - not something that you can miss. There wasn't any at all- not one sprig. We asked for lemon for our water 3 times and didn't get it for 30 minutes. My daughter asked for more water - they took her glass and never came back. They were not busy at all tonight while we were there and there were at least waitresses. It's really unfortunate in that this is a small town and we don't have many restaurants to choose from. Food was... Okay. You can see they tried. Philly roll had an overly smoked salmon, not enough cream cheese and the rice tasted a little stale. Shishito peppers were burnt too much on 1/3 of em. Miso soup was cold, full of onions, and not flavored very well, tasted like the paste without any love added. Service was good, it was cool inside. Good music and TV shows, nice bar and the beer prices looked amazing, unfortunately, I don't drink. read more

August 7th,2026. I have been eating sushi since 1990 and this is the worst nigiri I have ever been served in my life. Clearly the salmon was turning bad, yet it was served anyway. It was the thinnest sliced fish I have ever been served. On one of them you could even see through the fish due to it being so thin. I was tempted to give a one star for the food. The sticky rice fell apart on the house roll we ordered so it was just a big, gloppy mess . Clearly I don't recommend. read more

Service was excellent. The sushi was pretty authentic. My only complaint is that everything had Saratcha on it. I asked for it to be tamed down and maybe it was from their norm but it was on every roll. It looked good but it was too hot for me. We are at McDonalds getting me an ice cream cone as I write this! We waited over a hour and fifteen minutes for our food. They had the sushi plated and waiting on the counter in front of us. I understand that the sushi roller was new but their was no hurry in getting the food out. The appetizers didn't come before anything and I ended up canceling them. No drink refills were made the entire time. My daughter's ramen must have sat made for awhile as well because the noodles were soggy and the broth was almost non existent. She has her own review to make. The rolls ended up being pretty tasty with the exception of some large carrot chunks. My Dad & I stopped in while on a day trip in the area. This restaurant came highly recommend by a friend. Dad's ramen dinner did not disappoint. My sushi however did. The quality of the fish & the flavors were fine, but the rice portion of the roll & nigiri was truly lacking. It seemed to be made with long grain, ordinary white rice. The rice didn't have any stickiness or taste that comes from sushi rice, as if the cook didn't use any of the customary rice vinegar & sugar. The bisque had a good flavor, but was SO thick it had the consistency of guacamole. The cook should never have let this leave the kitchen! They did remove the charge. read more

The food is very high quality both sushi and main menu have been coming to Kaiju for about 8 months consistently and aside from some occasional mistakes the food and service is good ( and I will say has definitely improved since I first started going), if you're looking to try some surprisingly good sushi and want a fun drink I'd check Kaiju out. read more

I have been a loyal customer for about a year now. unfortunately I spend allot of money gambling.... most at kiju. This hallows eve my husband and I had our account froze, so we counted a couple dollars in change to finish the night off. I politely asked for a doctor pepper, the casino host had me repeat myself 3 times. than proceeded to tell me I could not have one. I decided to leave and she was being a terrible terrible attendant. I was curious so went for birthday lunch in May. First a comment on the varied menu. This place is a real GEM with so much more than one would guess by the name. Burgers, ribs, tacos & appetizers that are actually entrees in and of themselves! That day I had an amazing bowl of Tonkatsu Ramen noodles & sampled some of the sushi my friend ordered. WOW! Excellent! Tonight we went with another couple & we started with the tempura steak fingers. OMG! I'm spicey yummy knocked OUT in love with these! Sampled the Edamame my friend ordered & they were crispy tasty too! Just eat the bean middles. mmm! Hubby ordered the Japanese Ribs served over mashed potatoes & they were delightful & so much he couldn't finish! Friends had sushi - the Mothra & Las Vegas rolls! We tasted & agree.. they were remarkably GREAT! My Chicken Broccoli Soba was so flavorful & the perfect noodles left me swooning for next time. The town wasn't ready for the Shed eatery when they opened & it rapidly become a local favorite. I'm predicting, this will be the same with Kaiju as more and more people decide to give it a try. Service was trash the bald neo nazi looking manager is drunk and the food was over priced and trash! mold on the salad, fries were so burnt they could chip a tooth and the burger I got with extra patty, one patty was bloody and raw while the other burnt. First, on a day that they had only a couple of tables, it took an hour and a half to make and bring out 4 sushi rolls. Just 4. No apology for how long it's taking or even an acknowledgment. I'm not overreacting on the length of the delay. I was looking at my watch the whole time. Second, the rolls, when they actually appeared, were vile. Swimming in mayonnaise and poorly prepared. Before anyone complains about my review, I eat a LOT of sushi. I know the difference between good sushi and bad. This was bad. This place is mediocre at best, or as people seem to say, it's good for Libby. For the price, you could get great Mexican food across the the street for 4 people. Save your sushi money for the next time you go to Kalispell or Spokane. The restaurant itself is fine. It's the same decor from the previous ownership. Feels like it should be a sports bar instead. After finally ordering food we sat for 30 minutes and didn't get our appetizer but got to watch two tables that were sat after us get their entire meals. We never got our food. This was the worst restaurant experience i have ever had. If you want to eat here I recommend going to McDonald's to hold you over until you get to a different town. read more

now let me start by stating I've been in the restaurant business a lot so I give waitresses and cooks the benefit of doubt. Took over an hour and all we had was 1 drink each and two appetizers for the table before we had enough!of no service while a new waitress struggled and a manager and the owner could not be bothered to help her out.... They should be ashamed of the low quality of service they provide as They ruined a milestone birthday and missed out on a larger ticket....the longer story below. A decent size group of us (8) went into the restaurant and celebrate a milestone birthday and after standing for several minutes while we looked around waiting for someone to come offer a hello and maybe a hey let's make ya a table, one of our party members had to walk up to the manager and waitress just standing behind the bar and ask if we might put tables together.instead of moving two tables for us, our people had to move the tables. finally when the waitress comes over to give us our menus we had to ask for the table to be wiped down. we waited almost 15 minutes for her to make it back over to wipe the table then go grab her tablet to come take our drink order and our two appetizers. the tvs got turned up loudly so some older people could hear them and it was an unconvinced to turn down one of the tvs that was delayed so we didn't have confusion going loud... now we all received our drinks at different times and while it took almost 45 minutes to receive our appetizers no one could be bothered to come take our order... so while the poor waitress was working her manager couldn't be bothered to look up and help and the owner just sat and drank his beer. now as a business owner myself, I would be ashamed of the level of customer service we got read more

i wish i could give no stars. we got there and weren't greeted at all. after 10 minutes of sitting at a random table we walked up to the bar and got a almost server. we ordered drinks finally and got them almost immediately but that was the best moment of the evening. we ordered appetizers, edamame and miso soup. they never came. we ordered entrees they also never came. we saw the table next to us get food after having sat down 14 minutes after us and decided it was our time to leave. not to mention we had ordered more drinks in between all of this and never saw them. overall horrendous experience. i don't know if everyone who works there was out back doing drugs when we were there but that's what it seemed like. fuck you guys. we were hungry. read more
