My heart breaks while writing this as my dog just passed away this evening suddenly from a tumor rupturing. I will say tho that I can't thank this clinic enough for there absolute kindness the second I burst thru there doors in full panic with my dog Loki, no questions asked took me straight into a room and immediately started assessing the situation. They went to work quick! Every time they said they needed something from me I just assumed it would be my credit card as I have had passed experiences with vrc and that's all there about and they never asked for payment until the very end and it was so gentle and kind. They made me feel very cared about and not rushed at all as I put my baby to sleep, the doctor even hugged me after. They brought Loki to be in a nice comfy blanket and gave me a doorbell to let them no when I needed and wanted anything. I never thought o would leave this experience so grateful to be surrounded by such kind people. They could have taken me to the cleaners with test and all sorts of things and they simply just didn't. It was authentically all about me and Loki. Thank you guys for your kind hearts and your hard work and seeing my boy to the other side

Masina and Ranpo :) they're always inseparable.

Thank you for doing everything to make our cat healthy again. It's thanks for you all and your care that we got to celebrate his first birthday, and watch him grow up into the (equally mischievous and funny) cat he is now. It is always evident how much you all care about the animals that you provide for every time we met everyone there. You are compassionate for all the animals and their humans, and were supportive of us and Ranpo throughout the whole process. Thank you again and I'm so glad that we are lucky enough to have you here.

Really appreciate this veterinary office. I had noticed one of my cats was breathing a bit heavier than normal. Everything else seemed normal (eating, drinking, etc.) so I was keeping an eye on it thinking it might be allergies. However, Saturday morning she very suddenly got much worse. I called her normal vet but they couldn't see her and gave me Kaimuki's number. I set up an appointment for the same day, but ended up bringing her in an hour early because I was so worried. They roomed us pretty much immediately and put her in an oxygen tank. The vet tech and doctor were very diligent and I really feel they did everything they could. Unfortunately, it seems she likely had underlying heart disease that wasn't caught in time. Lani sadly past away, but I'm extremely grateful for everything they did for her. They gave us her paw print, some of her fur, and a very nice card signed by the doctor and staff.

Mutha! I'm sick!!!…read more I rarely get sick, so whenever I do get sick, I'm totally shocked and I really don't know what to do! Lol! I recently changed doctors because my primary care doctor that I've been seeing for the last 10 years joined that MDVIP thingy. The MDVIP thing is pretty costly as I had to pay $3450 for a one year membership just so I could see my primary doctor. Although she was worth every penny I paid just to see her, if I had money pouring out of my butt I would have stayed with her, but I am only a few years away from retirement, so I am thinking ahead to save me a few smackaz. Earlier this year (April), I switched to a new doctor at Queen's Hospital that way I could avoid having to pay the $3450 just to see a doctor and that doesn't even include the normal co-pay fees that we pay after we see our doctor. You add in the cost for meds, and you're looking at a pretty sum of money. One things for sure, I can clearly see a big difference in the level of service I get from the MDVIP doc, vs. the regular doc at Queen's, but that's life. You get what you pay for! I wasn't able to get an appointment with my new primary care doctor at Queen's on the day I called in, so I decided to head on down to the Queen's Island Urgent Care in Kahala. The nice thing about this place was when I called in, someone actually picked up the phone. The gentleman who picked up the phone was very cordial and honest. I asked the gentleman if they took appointments, he said no. It was basically a "1st come, 1st serve basis" and he was honest with me telling me that they were busy that day with about 11 to 12 folks waiting in the lobby. I was thinking 11 to 12 folks? That's nothing & I shoud be able to see someone within 1 to 2 hours? Boy, was I totally WRONG! So I checked in at the Kahala clinic at 11:30 am and by the time I actually got into a room to see a doctor, it was 3:30 pm. Do da math folks! YIKES!!! They swabbed my noise for Covid-19 & Flu, I ended up getting the flu which I haven't had in a long time. I was walking around with a low grade fever & didn't even know it. On the bright side, the doctor who saw & helped me - Dr Ayesha P. Wilbourn was wonderful! Great service, listen to what I had to say, then ordered up some meds for me to be picked up at Longs Drugs. If it wasn't for the super long wait time, this clinic would have graded out much better, but I guess maybe they were short staffed that day?

I went in at 10:45 am and was quoted a 2 hour wait. I decided to wait in the clinic. Since the clinic is on a walk-in basis, you must be present when your name is called. The waiting room is comfortable. There's seats and a clean restroom to use. I should have went to the mall to grab something to eat during that 2 hour estimate. The 2 hour wait time was accurate. I got called around 12:45 pm. A specialist checked me in first, taking my vitals. After a 15 minute wait, Dr. Kauhane came for the check up. He was attentive, empathetic, and listened to my concerns. He gave advice on how to handle my ailment, and set up my prescription. The process was easy and simple. After that, another specialist came by to do this discharge. I am thankful for Dr. Kauhane and the clinic staff. Everyone was so friendly and helped me feel relaxed even with my ailment. Wish the wait times were shorter, but the doctor shortage is a statewide issue.

You can do it on the CVS app or the website. Times are usually available, and walk-ins are accepted as well. I managed to make an appointment on the same day. You check in at the kiosk, and just wait your turn. Valenso was the nurse practitioner who was there today. He was very friendly, personable, courteous, and professional. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease. You can come here for almost anything from minor injuries and illnesses to vaccines and injections to skin issues to earwax removal and then some. Overall, MinuteClinic is definitely useful. Super friendly staff. Clean and bright room. Very easy to make appointments for the same and next day.

That being said, I don't usually see my PCP unless I'm feeling like "Death is knocking on my door" and I always go in for an annual physical. This past weekend, we were experiencing a lot of rain and humidity which in Hawai'i, often comes with VOG, when the storm system comes from out South. So, when I woke this morning with some allergy symptoms, I decided to contact the CVS Minute Clinic instead of calling my PCP. The online process of contacting a CVS Minute Clinic was quick and easy. -Go to http://www.cvs.com. Select Minute Clinic. -You can look for the nearest site of Minute Clinic that is located in a CVS Pharmacy plus see what the waiting time is. -Make your selection and you will be assigned an appointment and a confirmation code. Your appointment time and code will be sent to your e-mail and phone (text). -Show up at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment to check-in at their dedicated kiosk. Of course, rather than scheduling an appointment, you can walk-in and they'll see you. However, just know that if you walk-in, those who have appointments will be seen before you. Today, I saw Reynard Nievera, ARNP, who was congenial and professional. He was thorough with his line of questioning as I described my symptoms. After taking my vitals, I told him that I was concerned that my symptoms were just due allergy to the VOG or possibly the onset of flu. Reynard took a couple of test samples and luckily it turned out that i was having allergies. He prescribed several medications which I was able to pick up from the CVS Pharmacy around the corner from this office. Also, I agreed to have follow-up calls to make sure the medications are helping to address and relieve my allergies. The Minute Clinic offers several programs that would augment those that your PCP would prescribe. Their business hours and locations are convenient (usually located inside a CVS store), especially if you're unable to get to your PCP on the same day. They even accept many health insurances. Go ahead and check online to see if you might be able schedule an appointment or walk-in to a Minute Clinic near you.

It was a nasty cut and the whole situation was honestly terrifying at the time. I'm a little late writing this review (it's now February), but I'm finally fully healed and I've been thinking about how grateful I am for the team at Doctors of Waikīkī. Dustin did incredible work on my stitches. The injury was pretty bad, but he handled everything with so much care and precision. You can tell he really knows what he's doing, and I felt like I was in good hands the whole time. And Tabitha truly made the experience so much better than it could have been. She brought such positive energy into a really scary moment. She kept me calm, made me laugh, and helped take my mind off how painful and overwhelming everything felt. That kind of kindness really sticks with you. The whole office had great energy and a genuinely caring team. Even though the injury itself was awful, they made the experience as good as it possibly could have been. Funny enough, if they heard what happened after I got back to Sacramento they'd probably be surprised -- and maybe a little pissed -- because a doctor here took my stitches out too early and I ended up having to let it heal as an open wound. But through it all, I'm finally fully healed now, and I'm really thankful for Dustin, Tabitha, and the whole team for helping me through the start of that journey. They turned a really scary moment into something I can actually look back on with gratitude.
