First impressions, I was not pleased to say the least. Main reason was one, A "Cajun" seafood place didn't offer Etoufeé. But I can get over that part. The other part that rubbed me wrong was that the lady taking our order didn't allow any substitutions. If you want crawfish instead of shrimp in your pasta bowl, they wouldn't permit it. Calling it "company guidelines" etc. They also only serve the boils, crawfish etc by the pound? I'm not sure if that is standard, but it's not expressed well. On top of that. The initial service from the woman at the counter was sub par, including the fact she immediately got in her phone behind the computer screen, didn't give out drink cups, etc. I understand the environment, but it's annoying when we are still standing at the counter needing help. The shrimp pasta bowl turned out relatively good. Although a little overdone, the hard boiled egg was a nice addition. I would say it was a little too expensive for a bowl of spaghetti noodle though! Overall, the place was ok.

Had to run some errands in Dawsonville, about a 25 minute drive from home. While I was there I stopped by Kajun Seafood to pick up some lunch to go. First time trying one of these places. Ordered the oyster, shrimp & catfish combo that came with fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. There was so much food that I had 2 catfish filets left over. The slaw was how I like it. Mayo based and tasty. All the seafood was cooked perfectly and was really good with the tartar sauce. The young lady at the counter was friendly. Will definitely be back. Not a big place so to go orders will be my choice. BTW, they may have changed their online ordering since a previous reviewer posted because only the Milton location accepts online ordering from their website.

The staff is so friendly and welcoming! Their Cajun Pasta is truly divine. This is the best spot in Dawsonville.

Price is too high for amount that you receive. The menu is not user friendly and the atmosphere isn't pleasant for a seafood restaurant.

We love the fried shrimp, shrimp po boys, and the mussels. The shrimp are large and fresh, crispy, and hot.

Great food and always fresh. There isn't another place close by that can replace the food here. Also they aren't expensive

Had a couple of cocktails, an appetizer, a meal, dessert and then coffee.!! It's been a few months, but if I remember right, the bill was right about $120 for two people! Everything was delicious. The cocktails were fabulous. I had a Mojito with fresh mint.! It is a seafood restaurant. I'm allergic to seafood and they flagged my meal and they informed me they cook their seafood in a separate oil ! Anything breaded and fried that's not seafood goes into a clean oil fryer!!! That alone is impressive enough to tell you to go go go! The balcony is on the second floor, it overlooks the historic part of the town of Dahlonega. The weather was amazing It was very pleasant.. The inside seating had typical seafood restaurant decor like fish on the wall and netting and starfish . Nautical themes throughout with port windows and ropes. I have to tell you it's a restaurant I would've never picked myself, but it was my friend's birthday and I insisted she pick the restaurant and it was such a happy surprise. I will definitely return. I would bring my husband and he would enjoy the seafood and I can enjoy my non-seafood dinner knowing I wouldn't accidentally be poisoned! lol the struggle is real at most restaurants, but not at this place! Trust me very impressive.!

We had our 12 lb bundle of puppy joy with us so to the back deck we went. I think Dakotah was the only server on the main floor, both inside and out because it took a long time. Long time for water. He was busy even though the restaurant wasn't full. Poor guy. My hubby ordered the muffaletta and wasn't impressed. He ate it though. He loved his Abita root beer. I decided to order from the side menu and I'm so happy I did. The andouille sausage was grilled and tasty. The maque choux was amazing. Think Mexican corn with a Louisiana twist. Perfection!! The loaded grits were also wonderful- chocked full of gouda, bacon, and green onions. Delicious! The gumbo was thick like a stew. The flavor was smoky and sublime. My only beef is instead of all gumbo, the cup was filled mostly with rice... topped with gumbo. Overall we enjoyed our dinner. However, due to the pace of things, the underwhelming sandwich and perception of getting shorted on the chicken and gumbo. I wouldn't hesitate to swing by and order a maque choux to go as a snack except they charge $1 for the to-go container.

The sunset was absolutely stunning and the patio was very relaxing. Our meal was good but not great. Pretty pricey for the quality of food. Everything we ordered was tasty but nothing tasted amazing. For apps we had Focaccia Bread and Salads. Entrees: Salmon, Ribeye, and Pork Belly Tacos. Some of us split a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and that was very yummy. Looking forward to a return visit to try Trattoria downstairs!
