Came here with the wife around 7:45pm on a Friday. It was pretty empty, but I'm not complaining. It's tucked away on the side of a strip mall. Plenty of parking. We ordered 4 rolls and a chicken katsu bento. The rolls were all pretty good. They were a pretty generous size too. Flavor was good, but I wouldn't call any of them premium. For the price and the size, I expected good not great, and that's exactly what we got. The katsu also was pretty good. Good enough to order again at least. We'll definitely be back to try a few other items. For the price, you can't beat it! Place is extremely small, but given the number of people on a Friday night I don't think this place ever gets too crowded. Sushi is probably not the first choice out here in East San Jose. The meat in the pork belly bao is incredibly tender and the brown buns have a perfect crisp. This appetizer comes with these crispy things (idk not fried onions) and shredded cabbage underneath. There's a bit of thick sesame sauce on the inside of the buns which adds a sweet and nutty flavor. The escolar (butterfish) nigiri is pretty big and already comes with a tiny dollop of wasabi with green onion sauce on top. The unagi was a bit small but I like that the nigiri can be ordered individually. Orange blossom roll (salmon and avocado inside, salmon and tobiko outside) was good but pretty standard.
