cute vibe. Was on campus for a work meeting and this was really the only easy place to find a coffee. Jealous the students have such a cool space to study in! Coffee wasn't my favorite but there were a lot of different options and I would definitely return here again and try something different rather than my basic iced coffee.

    A disappointing overpriced $9 salad

I have been a fan of kaldi's and always ordered ice lattes before classes. Their coffee and smoothies are delicious even though it's overpriced. BUT recently, I went in to get a salad that I normally get but it turns out they changed the portion of the salad. The salad they gave me literally had 10 leaves and two pieces of chicken and it was $9. It made me outraged to have to pay for such an overpriced "meal"

Who would have thought there is turkish latte, and why as a turkish, i discover it in this place. I can definitely say that the taste was similar to turkish coffee. Definitely give it a try!

When I learned that Dunkin' Donuts was about to be replaced by a local coffee shop, I was beyond excited. I imagined having smooth, strong coffee, perfectly foamy lattes, and crumbly, buttery baked goods, all within a 2-minute walk from school. Perhaps I set my expectations too high (I do make a pretty mean French-press at home), but Kaldi's has just been ok at best. I've tried their house brew, "Birds and Bees," many times, and it's always been super bitter and burnt-tasting. Their rotating brews haven't been much better, either. Thank goodness for their pastries, which are supplied by the famous H&F Bakery. The pumpkin bread is really moist, cinnamon-ey, and satisfying. I've tried 2 of their whole wheat scones, blueberry and cranberry-almond, which were both pretty tasty. Everything else on display also looks fantastic. Another plus-side at Kaldi's would be their breakfast and lunch menus, which offer a large variety of selections like quiche, burritos, croissants, and sandwiches, many of which are from other local businesses. Unless you come at a really strange time, expect a line here, as well as filled tables. But that's pretty much expected at Emory's DUC. If you get a regular coffee, I recommend buying a pastry to help cut the bitterness of the brew. All in all, I still think Kaldi's is a welcome change to the old Dunkin'.

My London Fog came with a cup of pure Earl Grey

I'm not gonna lie. I am super jealous that Emory now has a legitimate coffee shop. From what originally was a decent Einstein's to a terrible Dunkin (when I was an undergrad), Kaldi's is an amazing addition to the campus. The space has been altered to provide plenty of study space to accommodate individuals and groups. You're given the choice of comfy, single sofa chairs, high top tables with stools, and extra long tables, in addition to a plethora of outlets. I loved receiving a mug of the London Fog I ordered as well as a cup of pure Earl Grey tea alongside it. I've never received my tea like that, but I feel that they both provide a great palate teaser since they obviously compliment one another. Prices are as expected from a company that provides fair trade and farmer-supportive beans. I'm rooting for this place to be a permanent feature to the frequent changes to Emory's limited dining scene.

Ordered the macchiato and not quite what I expected but I was very delighted to tried it. It came out as a traditional cup. Cute tiny cup serve with carbonated water. The taste was strong just the way I like it and the water after wards was very refreshing. Nice little find while visiting Emory.

Smooth on the spoon with that soft creamy finish that makes soup feel a little luxurious instead of just warm. The feta on top cut through it nicely. Salty. Tangy. A little flash of brightness in every bite. It gave comfort with some polish. Like rainy day food that still has good posture. The almond croissant was the one. Golden edges. A soft shatter on the outside. Then that dense almond center that lands sweet, nutty, and almost plush. The powdered sugar on top made it feel a little extra in the best way. Not too precious. Not too sugary. Just enough to make it feel bakery serious. The kind of pastry that makes you pause after the first bite because now everybody else at the table wants some. The tea was better than good. Clean. Smooth. Calming in a way that made everything else settle into place. It felt intentional. Not an afterthought. Definitely the standout and the easiest thing to come back for. Forgot her name, but the woman helping me order was a lifesaver. Honest. Adorable. Knew how to guide without hovering. Gave the kind of recommendation you trust immediately. The room had that easy café buzz. Warm lighting. People lingering. Felt relaxed without losing its shape. it's giving... quiet luxury brunch energy due to the vibe she gave. Coming back.

Location and Parking Perc has a few locations, I have been to the location in Tucker, I am currently writing this review while at the East Lake location, which is located at the intersection of Hosea Williams Drive and Second Ave. There are a few spaces to park on the street but there is also a parking lot with plenty of free spaces. Venue and Atmosphere From the first time I stepped in to Perc, they had me. From the bright colors of the coffee bags, to the airiness of the space and the great playlist (think Snoh Aalegra, Thee Sacred Souls, and Cleo Sol). At the East Lake location there is plenty of seating inside, and also outside seating, which I opted for both times that I came, gotta enjoy this good weather right? Food and drinks I had the same thing both days, the Good Times Latte with a little extra syrup and the Crunch Wrap. I am not being dramatic when I say that the Crunch Wrap is hands down one of the BEST breakfast items I've had at any coffee shop I've been to. That probably sounds like hyperbole, but at one point I was going to a new coffee shop every week, so I promise it's not. It's eggs, cheese, hash browns, your choice of sausage or bacon (can't go wrong with either), and their special Perc sauce wrapped into a tortilla and griddled to perfection, and from the first bite to the last perfection it is. The latte is made with their in house vanilla lavender syrup and it is just the perfect amount of sweetness that I like. Service Service is fast and friendly, and they will complement your outfit, so wear something cool. Verdict If coming back twice in a row isn't an indicator that I plan to be a regular here then I'm not sure what is lol. Come here for the coffee and food, stay for the vibes. I know I will! Until next time!

Rebel Tea House and the shops on the block got it right with the free two-hour parking deck, which honestly was the first thing that drew me in. The space itself is boutique, quaint, clean, and smells amazing, with beautiful Chinese-inspired decor. I'm no stranger to bubble tea or fruit teas, but it was my first time here and I wanted to try something different. The woman at the register was incredibly helpful. After I mentioned that I don't like drinks that are overly sweet, she explained the sweetness levels and recommended a tea that ended up being perfect. I stayed for a couple of hours working on my computer and watched the place gradually fill up during the lunch rush. I loved the mix of people coming through -- parents with babies and strollers, people working quietly on laptops, friends playing Uno and Connect Four, and locals just stopping in for their usual tea. It felt welcoming. Also worth mentioning, the bathroom was spotless and fully stocked, which always says a lot to me about a business. Overall, it was just a really pleasant experience from start to finish, and I'll definitely be back.

The flavors aren't so intense as to feel like you're drinking pure [insert ingredient] concentrate, but strong enough to taste everything. The interior is really nice, with lanterns, fairy lights, flowers painted on the wall, a mural on the counter, artificial flowers hanging beautifully in the seating area and in the bathroom (bathroom not pictured). The seating is comfortable and there is good lighting. There are board games you can play and merchandise you can buy, as well. The employees are helpful and friendly. They were able to help me with nutrition information, telling me how much of each sugary ingredient so I could figure out how much insulin I needed. The owner also donates some of their profits and stuffed animals to the charity my sibling receives support from. I had a great experience from ordering to leaving, and I will be back
