    Kale Me Crazy storefront.

We had a great experience when we came here 10 weeks ago! When R suggested that we go to Kale Me Crazy, I made a face at him like he was crazy. Honestly, kale is one of my least favorite vegetables to eat because I don't care for the texture of it at all. Because of the restaurant name, I believed that Kale Me Crazy put kale in everything (or just about everything) that it served up. R goes to restaurants that I really love, but he doesn't, so I guess I could go to Kale Me Crazy one time if he wanted to go there. Kale Me Crazy, a super food cafe, is a soon-to-be national franchised chain of restaurants that support your healthy lifestyle through the use of fresh, organic and raw foods. This location is in Gateway, a mixed use area with other various small businesses nearby. Parking was easy for me to find since there is reserved parking for Kale Me Crazy in front of the store. We walked in, and were immediately greeted with a hello and a smile by one of the employees at the order counter. We told her that this was our first time eating at Kale Me Crazy, and she took the time to tell us what food options were available. After debating in my head what I really wanted, I ordered the Tuna Wrap, which was house-made tuna salad, vegan mayonnaise, olives, carrots, lettuce and sriracha wrapped in a spinach tortilla. R ordered a single Salmon Toast, which was sustainable smoked salmon, avocado, pickled red onions, dill and sprouted bread. During the ten minutes that we had to wait for our food, I took some pics. This place is upscale boutique-ish, very sleek, modern and clean. Windows on the front face of the store allow a lot of natural light inside. Inside, there weren't many tables, and there was a long, high counter (like at a bar) with tall stools where customers sit near the order counter, and a smaller high top table against the glass window. I noticed that many customers order online and make them take out orders. In addition to the dining area inside, there were two tables outside. We sat down at the bar, where the employee served us our food. Presentation was great! The tuna tasted like ... tuna. The carrots and lettuce were fresh and crunchy, and the olives provided added a slight vinegary flavor that went well with the spicy sriracha. R loved his Salmon Toast, and he got a lot of smoked salmon that had a great aroma. Btw, for those of you who love kale, there's kale in the Quinoa Bowl, the Kale Salad and the Vegan Wrap. We will certainly be coming to Kale Me Crazy more often now that I know they don't put kale in everything they make. :-D

I'm a fan of all the Kale Me Crazy locations. & this one does not disappoint! My favorites are the matcha, tropical tripping, and green dream! They also provide lots of add in's like chia seeds and tumeric to add a boost in your smoothie! Service is always pleasant and the environment is always clean!

This was my first visit to Kale Me Crazy and it won't be my last. Since it was my first visit, I wasn't sure what to order. The employee was very helpful in telling me about menu items and showing me pictures. I had decided on a Acai bowl and since they have a regular and deluxe, I wasn't quite sure which to get. After she explained both bowls, I decided on the deluxe. I stayed in to enjoy the bowl and grabbed a seat at the window. This bowl had strawberries, blueberries, Acai, coconut milk, granola, chia seeds, goji berries and honey. It was so delicious. I finished my bowl and my belly was content.

I'd heard about the juice, the coffee's and teas and the food but I wanted to try one of the smoothies. While I was in there I looked at the menu and EVERYTHING looked good. I got the Tropical Trippin smoothie, it's good. Can't wait to go back for one of the wraps or the salads or who knows! some toast.

The place is clean with a friendly staff and wearing mask and gloves. My Salmon Salad was delicious!!! I also enjoyed my Wellness Shot. I was advised the method of payment is card only due to COVID 19. However, they had a large Sanitation Station near the entrance.

Smoothie was good and made quick! Stopped by after getting brunch nearby. Service was good. Lots of healthy options

This was a quick to go lunch for me, and it was an excellent choice! I wasn't super hungry, but I knew I would be if I didn't eat something. I got the deluxe açai bowl, which was very good. I got it with bananas, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A lot of good flavors, but it was $13, which is steep. If I hadn't been staying in a hotel, this is something I could've made in my blender at home. I love fresh fruit and good granola, but that's a lot of $$$ for a deconstructed smoothie.

Great healthy food! Customer service is wonderful as well!! Smoothies and salads are my go to items here. Kale salad and quinoa bowl both very yummy

Stoked that Kale Me Crazy is branching out! Can't wait till the Brookhaven and Buckhead locations open up. Parking - You won't struggle to find one. KMC is in the same lot as Chipotle, Salon Lofts, and Sprouts (connecting lot). At most, you'll have to walk an extra 10 steps. Space - Same design as the midtown one. And same size I would think. Outdoor seating is also here too. Service - Honestly, I've never ever had a bad experience at any KMCs. So safe to say, this place sticks to that. The girl that took my order was really nice and personable. She did say this location has been open for like 2 weeks now. :) My favs to get: Super Matcha and Tropical Trippin'. Can't go wrong with those. Overall, since lots of companies are out here, smart idea to plant a location here.

Unfortunately, there aren't enough fast food joints with a focus on fresh salads but lucky for me, Doc Green's was right on my pathway for the day. Located in a huge plaza in Smyrna, Doc Green's is a salad lovers dream. I can't believe this was my first visit! The restaurant itself is narrow but long, offering plenty of seating in the back of the place, as well as the entryway. Doc Green's is actually paired with another restaurant it seems, but I was focused on the salad. They have some recommended combos but you can also create your own with a wide array of toppings. I was in heaven looking at all of the fresh veggies, proteins and dressings available. I decided to create my own and just went wild. I was super bummed because I ended up forgetting some favorites (like avocado) because I didn't see/notice them on the cold bar. I chose my dressings, had it mixed up and then checked out. I opted for a fountain drink and unfortunately, the lemonade was toooooo sweet. But that was the only downside because my salad was wonderful!! Everything was fresh, the portions were generous and I felt like I got my money's worth. I'm always in the Akers Mill plaza buying things I don't need so I can't wait to grab another salad at Doc Green's when I'm in the neighborhood!

I had about 30 minutes for lunch and I decided to stop here. This was my first time coming here. Original ChopShop is at the end of one of two rows of business buildings in a shopping center. During lunch time on a weekday when I visited, parking spaces were hard to come by because there are many popular places to eat here. The order counter is just a few steps in front the entrance. Large menus are display are above the counter. Lots of natural light streamed through the large windows in the front of the store, and the side and ceiling of the large indoor dining area feature glass windows, making it feel like you're dining outdoors without experiencing the elements or insects. However, there is an outdoor patio if you actually do want to experience the elements and insects. The dining room was very clean. I got to Original ChopShop at around ten minutes past noon. Surprisingly, there were only about 15 people, although the restaurant can seat a whole lot more customers than that. In spite of not having that many customers, it still took 20 minutes for my order to be delivered to my table. I had ordered a grilled steak sandwich on multi-grain bread. The sandwich included grilled sirloin, caramelized onion, fontina, arugula, apple, mushroom, horseradish creme, and soy sesame sauce. The presentation was nice, but I thought the flavors were just awful, with the main flavor being "burnt." The grilled sirloin was tender, but its flavor was ruined by the caramelized onions and/or the mushroom. I was also expecting the bits of steak to be hot, but it wasn't. Something tasted really off. I had only taken one bite and that was enough. I did eat the pickle, which tasted great! I really had to leave to get to work, anyway. This was not a good experience.

It's a beautiful, airy space with plenty of seating, perfect for a relaxed weekday brunch. The quiche rotates seasonally with fresh, in-season ingredients, which I appreciated. However, my lavender latte wasn't great, and it was my first coffee of the day. While I liked that the syrup was house-made, it didn't quite justify the price, especially when I can't count on a solid caffeine fix because it had such a bitter and sour taste to it. The latte art was worth the photo but not the price. Overall, I'd give it a 3 out of 5 just for the delicious quiche. Also loved their market area for fresh homemade picnic-style items & bevs. It's a lovely spot for journaling or catching up with a friend, but not somewhere I'd splurge on regularly.
