    Fresh Rolls ( 2pcs) / Gỏi Cuốn
    Michaela H.

I've only stopped in to pick up Fresh Rolls (Spring Rolls) before dining in for the first time today. Today I decided to try their vermicelli pork bowl, the presentation was cute (I took the picture after I stirred the ingredients, I was hungry ). I eat a lot of Vietnamese food and honestly this fell way short of my expectations. The vermicelli noodles were to thick, the lettuce was romaine bag lettuce, no carrots, no daikon, no onion, no peanuts and the fish sauce was plain wth no added rice vinegar or chili sauce for some kick, really bland. The pork was inconsistent in size and texture and some looked like bacon that wasn't cooked. I couldn't eat it past three bites. I did enjoy my fresh rolls as always, but again I've had much better and this restaurant only gets my business when I'm nearby and hungry for some fresh rolls, not because they're great. This place seems to have forgotten their roots or Americanized their food for ease. The place is large, older decor, nice bar and the music is usually either oriental or classical calmness. The service was polite but lacked attention. I was never asked if I liked it or needed anything. I won't be doing in again and I'll just stick to occasional fresh rolls if I'm nearby and in the mood.

I love trying out Vietnamese cuisine and after doing a google search I saw the great reviews on this restaurant. Unfortunately the quality of my pho was not to expectations. The broth was like warm and lacking in the richness like most pho broths do and the quality of the protein was also of a lower standard. However, customer service was great and the restaurant was very clean. Given that the food was not so good I don't think I'd pick this over the many Vietnamese restaurants in the area.

Pretty good spot. Tried the pho dac biet and egg rolls. Very solid choices. Checked it out since it was the only pho spot opened around 3p weekday. I was the only customer. Service was friendly.

Let's start off with the food , Amazing !!!!! Ordered the wonton Soup and the grilled shrimp w fried Rice. The soup even though a small was big enough for 2 people and tasted authentic very flavorful. The Grilled shrimp and Fried rice also came with an Onion soup that it came with but my server failed to inform me of that, so 2 soups lol . The fried rice was good not like Tropical Chinese in miami, but good and the shrimp were grilled to perfection. Now here's the bad part service was very slow and lackadaisical, it was like 4:30-5 and the place was empty and to get someone's attention at the beginning and during the meal was a task. They were very nice just mind you just not efficient . Will return to give them another chance .

Fresh rolls and fried rolls. Only $3 per order!

This place is not permanently closed. Last 2 times I went it smelled so musty and covered up by cleaning product. I've been here prob 30-40 times because it's so close and don't think I can keep going back anymore. My friend who is Vietnamese said they were closed for renovations. Went in next day after reopening which was Monday and didn't see any renovations just that awful fabolouso cleaning smell. My complaint is that it smelled that way before the hurricanes too I've been told by another Vietnamese friend that their pho broth is just store bought broth :(

Go-to spot for a Vietnamese special soup Bun Riu! It was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and vibrant, and the dish was served piping hot. So satisfying, and the flavor was authentic & spot on served with fresh herbs. The service was also excellent - the staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend! Ambience comfortable and clean.

Pho quyen is our all-time favorite Vietnamese restaurant. It delivers delicious food and good services consistently. Recent visit we had Bun Bo Hue, build your own fresh roll with shrimp patty, stuffed calamari with pork, crispy egg noodle, grill pork fried rice. All came with fresh material, big portion, super delicious flavors. Comfortable and clean dinig room, good service adding more pleasure for the dinner experiences. Dining in Pho Quyen is definitely worth our money and driving.

Too much msg, brother was not good because of that. It came out hot but because the noodles were not cooked it made it warm. Had to wait 5mins-7min to get it to pull apart and cooked enough to eat. Overall good portion but I'll take my money to viet kitchen instead much more authentic there. Service was also slow. 3.5 at best Did not feel well after eating this

My wife and I returned from a visit to Orlando, leaving early to avoid traffic. Arriving in west Tampa, we decided to check out Quyen Vietnamese. Early lunch and not many there we were seated right away, brought water and menus. We decided to get the Fried Wontons and Bang Bang Shrimp to share. And also shared a Fried Rice with Chicken. Appetizers came soon, hot and crispy. However the Bang Bang Shrimp didn't have much heat. I asked for hot sauce but sauce on table, very mild, was all they had. Our Chicken Fried Rice came after a bit. It was good but we have had much better. Finally my wife wanted to try the Chocolate Lava Cake. She said it was very good. Overall food 3, service 5, atmosphere 5.

Horrible service, we asked for water 3x and never got our waters until we were done eating. They didn't seem to care for our table it seemed like. Because another patron sat down and got their waters right away. I ordered the wonton soup and crab Rangoon. I didn't like the crab Rangoon it didn't seem like it was fully cooked and wasn't appetizing. As far as the wonton soup, with first sip I notice it tasted like the smell of hot tub water. Comes to find out the spoon reek of bleech and it did not tasted good. I couldn't get that out of my tastebuds and brain. I switched over to the silver spoon and it was much better. Extensive menu and plenty of tables throughout the restaurant.

Craving a flavor explosion? Look no further than Pho Quyen! This unassuming local spot in Tampa serves up the best Vietnamese food in town. Their pork vermicelli is so addictive, you'll be dreaming about it! My go-to spot!

We also tried the vanilla bubble waffle with cookies & cream ice cream. The waffle itself was fresh, a good size, and comes with two toppings we opted for fruit. The service was great, Delane my waitress took my order and checked in on me at the right intervals of time to see if I needed anything. The manager "chino Jay" also warmly greeted me and made me feel welcome. I requested some extra "beef tendon" for my Pho and he quickly responded to fulfill my request. Speaking of PHO: The pho was excellent -- rich, clear broth with plenty of tender beef, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and that perfect balance of savory and brightness. Exactly what you want in a big bowl of pho. The grilled short ribs plate was another standout. Beautifully charred, flavorful meat served with a fried egg, yellow rice, fresh cucumber, tomato, pickled veggies, and a solid dipping sauce. Everything on the plate worked together. The bánh mì was fresh and well-built -- crisp baguette, good filling, plenty of pickled carrot/daikon, cucumber, and cilantro. No sogginess, just solid execution. They even got the Vietnamese iced coffee right -- strong, sweet, and properly iced in a big glass mug. Portions are generous, the food tastes authentic, and the place feels clean and welcoming. If there is a charge, restaurants usually let you know beforehand, and it is typically around $1 to $2 per cup. At this restaurant, no one clarified that there would be a charge, yet we were charged $5.50 per cup, while their actual drinks cost only $6. If we had known, we would have just ordered actual drinks instead. It is not about the amount of money. It is about transparency and honesty with customers. As for the food, it was overpriced and lacked flavor. I ordered their special Vietnamese udon (bánh canh đặc biệt), but they had the audacity to serve me Japanese udon. That is not bánh canh. Vietnamese bánh canh and Japanese udon are completely different in taste, texture, and preparation, so this was especially disappointing and felt disrespectful to a traditional Vietnamese dish. We also tried their "most popular" dish, mackerel snd fish cake noodle soup (bún cá thu chả cá), and unfortunately, it was completely bland and lacked flavor. Overall, I would not recommend this place. Between the disappointing, overpriced food and the lack of transparency regarding the charges, the experience left a very bad impression.

Vietnamese buffets are not a common business model, and from other types of buffets you know that sometimes the quality can suffer, but Quan Ngon strikes a great balance between quality but also diverse options from many subtypes of Vietnamese cuisine. I won't be able to go into everything I tried (that would be a novel) but I will hit some of the highlights: - Grilled pork with broken rice: pork was marinated well, savory and sweet with a nice chargrilled taste, great with the rice + eggs + scallion oil or even by itself - Curry chicken: tastes very similar to how I remember my family does it, light but a bit creamy and with tender chicken and potatoes - Braised clay pot fish (but it's buffet style so served in a warming tray): savory, a bit sweet, tender fish that goes well with rice to soak up all the sauce - Fish sauce wings: not a super traditional dish but it's popping up all over modern Vietnamese restaurants now, slightly crisp outside juicy inside with a delicious savory sweet just salty enough glaze - Dessert (Che) bar: I'm not a huge fan of Vietnamese desserts, but I have to admit their row of Vietnamese desserts are well cooked, and sweet but not too sweet (also approved by my Vietnamese parents so you know it's legit!) For the price, the Quan Ngon Bistro buffet is more than worth it; for not too much above the price of a single entree at most other restaurants, you get to try a generous array of well made dishes.
