This place always has the best authentic pho and banh mi sandwiches in Tampa Bay at a great price. I ordered a pho tai and pork banh mi for takeout and warmed everything up at home. The pho tai was so comforting, and they were generous with their potions of meat and veggies as compared to other places. The broth for was well flavored and rich in taste, the noodles were soft and thin. The ratio between the noodles and broth were perfect. The pork banh mi I had for lunch another day. I added a fried egg on top since that's my favorite addition to eat with banh mis in general. The bread was cripsy on the outside and soft on the inside, and they were generous with their portions of pork and veggies. The grilled pork chop was fantastic. It is fresh marinated so well and grilled and it has a little bit of char and it's just the perfect perfect pork chop. Their pho is on the very sweet side. I've only been here a couple times and the first time I couldn't remember it well so I might've not liked their PHO then. I tried it again today with my mom and now I remember why I wasn't like a huge fan because it's on the sweeter side. There's always two types of pho, the sweet side versus the darker broth more oriental spices. I am more of an oriental spice, dark broth pho gal. You will not get that here. The father is very sweet here. The beats in the fall are very chewy. The tendon was not tender at all. I couldn't barely eat the pho the meats & tendon were just too chewy for me I gave it to my mom. I prefer the fall at Thinh An about 7 mins away. That is really the only place I get pho in the Tampa Bay area. Because every time I get it there, I know it hits. Their grilled pork BANH MI is so fire! I would definitely get that again if I was in the area. My mom loves the banh mi here. If you love Viet Street Food from the actual streets of Vietnam then this is the place it does not get more authentic than here. As far as the pho dac biet goes, the pho broth was full of flavor and the pho came with a good variety of different meats. The noodles were also made perfectly. Ambiance is pretty casual, it was actually pretty hot inside and although they had fans it wasn't enough to keep the heat under control. Service was different, they forgot to give us water and we weren't sure if they had any but once we asked they delivered. Pho was amazing! I got the regular pho that normally comes with brisket, tendon, tripe, beef slices but no meatball. It was incredibly rich in flavor. Com tam, rice dish, actually has 'broken rice' which was a great sign, good and tender porkchop but the egg quiche was bland, the two fried eggs needed to fried hard with more oil. The bi (dried pork) was wet/soggy when it came out under the eggs. Banh mi was standard. Soymilk drink needed more sugar. I ordered ubereats for lunch on a busy work day during the week. I got the pho and the combo lo mien. The pho was sooo good! The broth was authentic and not overly sweet or salty. My picky toddler also enjoyed this very much! I wish they had more noodles because I ran out of noodles and had more broth to finish. The stir fry was a very generous portion with plenty of thinly sliced beef, cabbage, and other veggies. If you like spicy, be sure to add your condiments of choice (I prefer to add chili oil). The word for this place is "authentic". I had to use a map app to find Saigon Deli. It's in a hidden strip mall offset from the main road. Finding it though is so worth it. The place is clean & busy, & the workers were kind & helpful. I started with a Chicken Banh Mi sandwich & an iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. Both were very, very good & priced well. I inquired about the steamed pork buns that people around us were getting. So we ordered that too & it was delicious. The employees & many patrons were speaking Vietnamese. This helped to whisk us into another culture which really was very cool. By the way a few doors down is an incredibly large Vietnamese grocery store. Was greeted right away and I ordered everything that I wanted. The broth for the pho was solid. The eggrolls were fresh! The best dish though was the grilled pork sandwich which was a great price of 5.50. Only constructive criticism I have is I would have loved to be checked on after our pho and eggrolls were dropped of at the table because they forgot about the pork sandwich which we wanted to try before the soup. 3 things about this place: 1. Family owned restaurant that is open only during the morning and afternoon. If you come after 4pm, you'll be too late. Service was excellent and everyone was very friendly which made the experience amazing. All the menus came out within 10 minutes which was very surprising. 2.
