    Spicy Soup Bun Bo Hue
    J Z.

Popped in on a random weekday around 10 am and ordered a massive bowl of bun Bo hue which was delicious, piping hot, spicy and came out in minutes. There is plenty of seating available inside and there were even more people taking to go.

Tried the Vietnamese coffee here and it's the real deal. Super authentic and really well made. Was in and out in 1 minute. I haven't tried the food yet but I'm definitely coming back to do that next time. If you're a coffee person and want something authentic, this spot is worth stopping by.

Service: 3.2/5 Food: 4.5/5 Price: under $20 Tucked into a small shopping strip with easy parking + all your Vietnamese needs. Southern Vietnamese spot serving all the classics. Seems family-run with the whole extended family involved. Packed even on a non-holiday Monday afternoon with locals, both Viet + not, so you know it's legit + a favorite. Food comes out fast, so there's quick table turnover. Only downside is they close at 4PM, but honestly respect, since it means they don't need the extra hours. Huge portions + easily one of the best meal deals in the area. Perfect for hangovers, sick-days, or just comfort food. Tip: it's seat yourself + you pay at the counter once you're done. *would recommend What I Ordered: - *Viet Coffee w/ Condensed Milk: STRONG, chocolate-y - *Gỏi Cuốn: pre-made + still fresh; 4pcs of shrimp - *10. Phở Bò Viên: good noodle thickness, not fatty + decently sized, rich broth - *14. Mì hoặc Hủ tiếu Gà: sweet broth, plentiful tender chicken - 16. Mì hoặc Hủ tiếu Hải sản: little oily, mix of 4 seafood (shrimp, squid, fish balls, fish cakes), sweeter - 21. Mì hoặc Hủ tiếu khô Thập cẩm: ~2 pieces of each seafood, tender pork - 23. Bún thịt nướng: not the freshest ingredients, light on the meat - *33. Cơm chiên Thịt nướng: bite-sized sweet pork (combo is better) - 34. Cơm thịt nướng: authentic broken rice, pretty standard - *43. Mì xào Tofu: bouncy noodles (asian version of fettuccine), soft tofu

This place lives up to the hype. I am incredibly picky when it comes to pho and this is my favorite one I've tried in all of Tampa!

Not a bad spot at all. It was so packed when we got here during lunch hours, but we got seated right away. The tech time was really good. We got our food pretty quick here. We had the pho dac biet and banh cahn from here. The bahn cahn noodles were soft and perfect. The broth was also full of flavor. My bahn cahn came with shrimp and pork belly in it. As far as the pho dac biet goes, the pho broth was full of flavor and the pho came with a good variety of different meats. The noodles were also made perfectly. They had a lot of different snacks around the register. I decided to try their beef jerky and didn't regret it at all. Their beef jerky was really good. I wish I would've bought more, but I'm not from this area so I'm not sure when I'll be back to get some more. In all, I didn't have a bad experience and would definitely come back to grab more jerkies on my next trip!

Hands down best Vietnamese Pho in Tampa bay! If not the best it's top 5 for sure. Ambiance is pretty casual, it was actually pretty hot inside and although they had fans it wasn't enough to keep the heat under control. Service was different, they forgot to give us water and we weren't sure if they had any but once we asked they delivered. Pho was amazing! I got the regular pho that normally comes with brisket, tendon, tripe, beef slices but no meatball. It was incredibly rich in flavor. The broth had the perfect amount of seasoning to and the noodles were also very flavorful. Overall I would definitely come back. The staff were nice and the food was fantastic!

It's Ben YEARS since I've had Saigon deli maybe 8 or more. It's just as good as I remember. Pho dac biet - basically a deluxe pho with all the works. The broth is flavorful and the noodles hold their shape well. It tastes just as it should authentic Beef banh mi - very good and the ingredients are fresh . Banh mi's from my experience tend to have a sweet and savory protein with the sweet pickled veggies. This was excellent as well Service - the food comes out very quickly and the staff is polite. will come again

Their pho was solid and the only thing I'd recommend out of the 4 things we ordered. Service was quick and tentative. Their Hu tieu kho was kind of bland, need more sauce. Com tam, rice dish, actually has 'broken rice' which was a great sign, good and tender porkchop but the egg quiche was bland, the two fried eggs needed to fried hard with more oil. The bi (dried pork) was wet/soggy when it came out under the eggs. Banh mi was standard. Soymilk drink needed more sugar. Also got some to go snacks and they were subpar (honeycomb cake - banh bo, and fried tofu).

This is my favorite go to (as it is many other people's as well) for grabbing a Vietnamese lunch. I love the bahn mi sandwich with bbq pork. The baguette is especially delightful, crispy outside and tender inside. It really compliments the sandwich. I love their Vietnamese coffee as my beverage of choice. It's a now frills place with reasonable prices and the staff is very friendly.

The food was tasty but they forgot to give me sauce which was important of this order.

Prob my second fav pho place in Tampa. Love Thinh Ahn because of bakery I always get veggie pho with beef broths and love this place because they use bok choy. I love pho Queyen because they use bok choy and baby Bella. Out of all 3 places though I believe this place has better broth. My husband loves they have crunchy fat on the brisket

Tried the bun bo hue, and it was pretty good. If you're tired of pho, it's a nice change. They also have some deli options. Great service, and the staff was really nice. Outdoor seating available, easy takeout order

A nice spot to grab a quick bite! Would recommend the Vietnamese iced coffee and grilled pork banh mi. The cold cut was ok, but I would have preferred the grilled pork. Good prices!

Please note that most of the parking around them is owned by 717 parking, and if you don't have the app, you may need to find alternative parking. Thank goodness I did, not too far away from the shop. It's a Saturday afternoon, and I think that played a reason why I managed. The owner tells me that the parking outside the seafood shop is legit too, and I'm keeping that in my pocket as well. Anyway, enough about my soapbox about parking, because this review is not about that. Cafe Hey's aesthetic and style speaks to me about indie coffeehouses from back in the day, as back in my day as a college student. Worn aged bookshelves with paperbacks and games. Brick walls. Off-beat artwork for sale adorning said walls. Comfy chairs scattered around the space giving it an intimate yet private feel. It reminds me of a time when restaurants and indie shops had more character and were unique with their own identity, before corporate took over and homogenized and sterilized everything. This place screams me, and I'm so thankful to be able to come back. The owner was very gracious and kind and listened to me vent about the parking for a little bit before giving me that tidbit about the other legit spots. For my drink I got the Gorilla Hug, which combines flavor of hazelnut, almond, banana and chocolate, lots of foam, and is drizzled with more chocolate. I got this hot with whole milk. Oh man, the flavor is a big WIN for me. Cozy, yet almost refreshing with the almond and banana flavor, which works very very well. The day wasn't too hot at all, so it really hit the spot. The last time I was here, I remember getting Turkey in the Grass. This sandwich as the name suggests as turkey, cucumber, greens, and cream cheese, nestled together in perfectly tender yet crisp Cuban bread (from La Segunda???). This sandwich was very satisfying, yet incredibly light and wouldn't weigh you down. The turkey is tender and fresh, and the cucumber and cream cheese combo gives it a flavor that is reminds of the Tasty Turkey sandwiches I used to love at Einstein Bros bagels when I was a college student. Even the shop ITSELF is worth a visit, as I came for food and drink, but stayed for art. Once again, the cool independent art vibe taking me back when I was younger. The folks here are friendly, too, and I felt welcomed and at home. Hopefully I won't wait another 9 years go come back.

My wife and I both got matcha which was absolutely delicious! I also got cuban bread with vegan cheese and loved it. Perfectly crispy and the vegan cheese was really good. One of our friends got the Turkey in the Grass sandwich and it was incredibleeeeeeee! I want to go back just to grab me one of those sandwiches. The cucumbers made it so fresh, I can't wait to have one of my own. Parking isn't the best because of the location but if you bike, no need to worry about that! I will definitely be back! The only minor miss was the Profiteroles. The pastry just didn't come across as fresh and was a little stale in texture. Not enough to overshadow anything, but it's the one reason I'd have landed at 4.5 if that were an option. Everything else was incredible, including the friendly, welcoming staff. Paul's is a truly marvelous establishment and its size ( there are probably 10-12 tables) is very NY. Small and intimate but what comes forth from the kitchen is pure magic. The cuisine is an Asian fusion- that word "fusion" is used a lot these days sometimes a bit much, but Paul's can use whatever words they choose because the food is delicious. We started with the chicken satay, and crispy spring rolls. The satay was delightful and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The spring rolls are def made in house- no frozen spring rolls here, and very tasty. I ordered the Pad Thai- with chicken and shrimp at a medium spice level. All I can say is- WOW, just WOW! By far the best Pad Thai I have had in Tampa in 11 years. The subtle flavors coupled with the mild - yet striking spice was a carnival of excitement in my mouth. The chicken was tender was was the shrimp- the noodles cooked to perfection and the dish was NOT wet- it was perfectly seasoned and was accompanied by a Thai chili vinegar on the side and pepper flakes to add a bit more spice- if I had fancied that. Well, I did. Not because it wasn't seasoned as I had asked, but because I decided to add a little more kick! Our server was just lovely- attentive, helpful and always there when we needed her- always checking to be sure we were ok. The time from kitchen to table is perfect- yet there is no rush, the restaurant just wants to be sure you are enjoying yourself! We topped the evening off with a slice of coconut cream pie- fabulous!! Our experience with Paul's won't be our last.
