For my first time ordering out I wasn't heavily disappointed. The beef and broccoli was good, probably the best thing from my order today. The wonton soup is rather bland and my fiancé was disappointed in the size of the wings. Delivery was as expected and the lady on the phone was very nice and articulated well. We may order again, but probably not.

Takeout/Delivery Chinese at its best. This is a true no-nonsense American Comfort Chinese if I may call it so. It resembles a true hole in the wall Chinese Takeout which make you question the authenticity of the meat you are about to eat, but thats the beauty of it true to its name "Chinese TakeOut" OKAY so don't go out All Adventurous Foodie, stick to the basics Kung Pow, General TSO, Sesame, Lo Mein you know and whaallaa you be Goood. They get 4 stars for the full package, nice polite staff, prompt service be it takeout or delivery(mind you there's $2 delivery charge) Good Food, I'd say Above Average not great but just enough to curb your cravings. And Quantity. Well I got my hookup for cheap Chinese

Shrimp with broccoli, curry shrimp and mixed veggies....yummy!!

The service is always impeccable, they have specials, delicious cocktails and wine. Caesar salad, crab cake, lobster bisque and side of crab and leek risotto all delectable. I prefer the upstairs high top seating to the downstairs tables. Really nice to be by the window/in ambiance of the bar and oyster bar. I prefer here over Steakhouse 85 personally. Highly recommend making a reservation. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it!

Our party was situated downstairs at a nice round table. This really helped us share the seafood tower and pass clams around. Our group ordered the small seafood tower, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. It had a little bit of everything. The presentation was flawless. I am still in awe of the lobster. Dinner was also very good. Just about everyone ordered something different, and we left pretty happy. The only issue was the music. I don't know if this is the case for the entire restaurant, but the downstairs had bouncy ukulele covers for the entirety of our time there. It was also a bit too loud. I felt like I had to get up to hear someone sitting a few people away from me, or speak too loud to for shared space because there's a bouncy ukulele covers of Without You by The Kid LAROI. (No, that's not an embellishment. That actually played.) All in all, we had a great time, great food, in a beautiful space. Natalie was a very attentive service. But please, maybe some different music?

We were seated right away and were greeted by our server. It was a beautiful night in downtown Somerville until it started to rain. Our server along with I believe the manager showed us where to go for their outside patio outback. I didn't even know it existed. We started with the grilled octopus appetizer as well special crab and lobster tostadas. We loved them both. Remind me I ordered the rigatoni with Shrimp and my date ordered the chili salmon. We pretty much devoured our meals. The corn for that came before the mill were very good as well. I actually ordered something to go. Everything we had was great and the service was wonderful. We will be definitely going back again.

It is essential to note that there is a lot of food to eat so guests should be prepared to come hungry or take leftovers home. While awaiting our meal, we were treated to spiced sugar beignets with chocolate and raspberry sauce, which were delightful. The variety of flavors was impressive, and everything was absolutely delicious, including the Belgian beer-steamed mussels and fish and chips, both of which came with generous portions of fries. Although we were unable to fit dessert into our meal, the bar offered exceptional cocktails. Our server, Kerry, and the manager, Libby, provided outstanding service, making this a top recommendation for brunch. No wonder this is one of my favorite places to eat in town! Check it out'

Juice was really good. Omelette was great. It was a bit different, good different, from what we normally have at other places, couldn't exactly point out what but definitely to be tried. Avocado toast was amazing too. So were waffles. Overall, loved the food. Coffee can be better. They never came for coffee refills, so not sure if they do that. We saw the pictures online and thought to explore for its vibes but the vibe of being there doesn't get captured well in pictures. Can't stress enough. Service was very good. Decent amount of parking outside. Location is a bit weird as it's a residential neighborhood. Overall, definitely recommended.

The restaurant was not crowded, and our party of 6 was seated right away. The restaurant is tucked back in a neighborhood area, and has some private parking around the building. The decor is like that of a 1950s diner. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our waiter appeared to be relatively new to the job, but he fulfilled all of our requests and was friendly. He would always get us a refill or more of something whenever we asked. We ordered a few starters of the Spinach and Artichoke Dip and the Mozzarella Sticks. Everyone in our party enjoyed both dishes! The dip portion was generous. We asked for additional chips to finish the dip off with and we were able to get them. Some of the various dishes we ordered are pictured - The Godfather, Turkey B.L.T. Deli Sandwich, Nachos Supreme, Tuna Salad Club, Sicilian Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Noodle Soup, and the Trio Salad Platter. I personally had the Trio Salad Platter, and really enjoyed it! It was a nice and refreshing lunch that was not too heavy. My favorite of the three was the tuna salad. We all sampled each other's dishes, and there was not one I did not like. The portions were large and very good for the price. I do believe the value is there with anything ordered from here. We definitely had leftovers to enjoy later! I enjoyed my visit to this restaurant! I would like to come back in the future to try their breakfast, and also more of the menu. I would recommend if you are looking for a nice spot to grab a bite with a small diner feel.

The strip mall itself isn't anything special, but the surrounding area is beautiful , and once you're inside, the restaurant feels warm and inviting. The food is fantastic, and the variety on the menu is impressive. The chef clearly knows what they're doing because every single dish we tried was genuinely delicious. It's the kind of spot where you can't go wrong: date night, dinner with friends, or anything in between. We brought our own bottle and had a great time. Our waiter was super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The staff even joked around with me when I forgot my to‑go bag, and yes, I absolutely took it home because the food is that good. I also appreciate that they don't act like offering takeout is beneath them; even the takeout bag was nice. I honestly wish my meals were this good every night. I hope everyone who works here is paid well and enjoys what they do, because they're running the place exactly how a restaurant should be run. It feels like a true community staple somewhere that transports you a bit and makes the whole experience feel special. Lovely all around.

Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall is one of those places you almost don't want to tell people…read moreabout--because then you'll have a harder time getting a table. Luca's Ristorante is a hidden gem that proves you should never judge a restaurant by its parking lot. Not long after we were seated, we were greeted by Luca -- a Luca and not the Luca. Still he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about his restaurant, taking the time to walk us through the menu and checking in throughout the meal without ever hovering. Luca's has a partial liquor license, offering a modest wine selection but is otherwise being BYOB. As we were told with a smile, they're much more interested in what's ON your plate than what's IN your glass. We started with two excellent appetizers. The arancini, already a family favorite, were crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and disappeared from the table faster than anyone was willing to admit. The Polpette, Luca's signature meatballs with pine nuts and raisins, certainly earned the praise they've received from NJ.com as some of the best in the state. Even if raisins in meatballs sound unusual, trust the process. The restaurant proudly calls itself "A Taste of Ischia," the beautiful volcanic island in the Bay of Naples, and the seafood absolutely lives up to that promise. My squid ink pasta with octopus (the Polypus) was outstanding, with perfectly tender octopus and beautifully balanced flavors. The scallops were buttery, sweet, and cooked to perfection, while the Ischia -- loaded with mussels, clams, and calamari -- was every seafood lover's dream. The rest of the menu proved just as impressive. The Pappardelle, featuring burrata and a rich Bolognese sauce, was a huge hit, while the Romolo, a comforting combination of chicken, pasta, bacon, and sauce, was another winner that had no leftovers to speak of. If you somehow still have room after dinner, Luca's offers a nice assortment of gelato. But do yourself one favor: don't leave without ordering a cappuccino. Rich, foamy, and expertly made, it's the perfect finale to a memorable meal. If you find yourself in Somerset, just a few turns off Routes 287 or 1, make the stop. You'll be greeted by a wonderful staff, treated to outstanding food, and very likely leave wondering how a restaurant this good has been hiding in a strip mall all along.

No tables or seats available at the bar with several parties waiting patiently. We were warmly greeted by the manager as he told us it would be at least 45--60 minutes for a four top. My bride noticed a single chair open on the far side of the bar so we made our way through the friendly crowd. The vibe here is causal with a very friendly neighborhood feel. We eventually made it over to the open seat as patrons on both sides skooted over to make room for us. The bartenders were getting slammed but they promptly acknowledged us and took our order shortly after. My martini was served in a well chilled glass with olives and my bride's chardonnay was perfect temperature. Soon after getting our drinks, as our friends arrived, two more seats at the bar opened up, so they took them and order their drinks. A short while later a couple of octogenarians entered the packed bar area, so we gave them our seats. At this point, we ordered another round and patiently waited for a table to open up. The manager stopped by a few times with estimated updates. He did a great job of keeping us advised and about an hour later we were seated. We ordered fried calamari and oyster appetizers. Our friends had mussels marinara, my bride has Caesar's salad and calamari and I had the soft shell crabs. We shared a bottle of Albarino (Great value). The food arrived in a nice relaxed pace as the waiting patrons were all seated at this point. As usual, the food was all on the mark. Nice tentacles with the calamari, perfecting flash fried. My oysters were cold, briney and firm. The mussel portion was very generous and the marinara had just the right medium zip. My sauteed soft shell crabs were perfectly cooked and served with tasty garlic enhanced spinach. We enjoyed our conversations and didnt notice we were the last patrons in the place. Regardless, there was no rush. I had some expresso before heading out. This place has been very consistent, even when packed. We will definitely return. Just a reminder. They dont take reservations, so be prepared to chill with the friendly crowd while you wait... and bring cash as they dont accept credit cards.
