    CRISPY KARE-KARE

We wanted to try Kamalig as soon as we heard about it. We are a big fan of Jayhan's. The new spot is clean and bright. Finding parking is better, close to the park and a good place to eat after a visit. We went to lunch and ordered the crispy kare-kare and tofu sisig. Both came out quickly and hot. Well made and very tasty as usual, great sign to have the great food here as well. I'm not the biggest fan of how they make their garlic rice, but it is not a show stopper. Service was fast and friendly. This will be one of my favorites moving forward. Highly recommended and support local businesses like Jayhan's.

Just updating my review. The restaurant ended up giving me 2 pieces of chicken inasal when I complained about the portion size of the platter and the price. It was a nice gesture but not necessary to give me 2 pieces.

The food is great, definitely something different if you haven't tried. The bbq sauce that is used for the meat is delicious. The wait is sometimes long, but worth it!

Crispy pata fried in iverly re used oil.

Came Sat 6pm, not to busy only 1 table 4 patrons. Before paying make sure to check your order-open container to check!! We got wrong food we ordered ginataang langka but got chicaron bulaklak. Lady @ the counter does not look at customer just typed @register & received payment. LASTLY, we got sick possibly due to reused oil to fry chicaron bulaklak & crispy pata.

We used to go to Jayhan every time I'm craving for inasal and batchoy from home. And it's always a hit especially the chicken inasal. The new place is clean, spacious and easy access to parking area. They have more staffs as well, the guy who served us was very nice and attentive to us even it was his first day to work. I like that their kwek-kwek batter is tasty and the siopao sauce tastes like the one we used to have in Manila. As usual, we odered inasal to take home since we live an hour away. When I checked the pork bbq meal, we only get 1 stick it used to be 2 sticks with the rice :(( For almost $14 it's kinda expensive for just 1. And now they have different pricing if you use card vs cash.

Food here is great but too expensive the commoners cannot afford it they will opt to dine to cheaper restaurants in West Side Avenue.

Ate Vilma and Kuya Gian are very friendly. Isaw and ice scramble are the best. Yummy! Parang nasa Pinas ka lang.

A delicious find and a bargain of a Sunday buffet…read more A Filipino restaurant offering all you can eat is unheard of, especially offering over hot 20 dishes including dessert. Classic dishes include pancit, adobo, sinigang, kare-kare, and lechon. They even include dipping sauces on the side. Dessert is included, however if you want to indulge in halo-halo that comes at a separate charge but worth it. Seating area is large and tables are plentiful. There is no table service, but it's not needed or missed at the self service Sunday buffet. The operators are busy hustling food and answering phones but chat with a smile when asked questions. Such good Filipino food, plentiful and at a great price should be bookmarked in your favorites.

We are on our way to Newark Airport and decided to visit a Filipino restaurant. We saw in Yelp…read morethat this is a good place. Well, for $11.99 for a combo meal consisting of rice with two dishes and a drink, you can't ask for more better place. The folks that work here reminds me of grandma's cooking in the kitchen. The meals are incredibly delicious. The place is very plane fast food restaurant. It is a Turo-Turo style restaurant. All the main dishes are there to chose from. This place is not a fancy restaurant like Max, but you certainly won't spend $100 for dinner for two. I highly recommend this restaurant. Try next time you're in Jersey City, NJ
