We came on a tuesday afternoon for a lunch and parking was easy to find. We were greeted quickly and sat at a booth area. The smell of the food hits you as you walk in so that was a good sign. They served us water quickly as we looked at the menu. I ordered the sizzling pares which was tender marinated beef cubes with a side of garlic rice and an egg on top. My mom ordered the grilled pork chop and lemongrass chicken with the garlic rice. All of our dishes came with a fried egg on top. Everything was very flavorful. Highlight was the sizzling pares with the rice and egg. With the sweet sauce mixed in with the rice, it was perfection. We had a little bit of leftovers for lunch the next day and left satisfied. One thing that could be improved was the cleanliness. The booth that we were seated at was by a wooden panel. When the sunlight hits it at an angle, you could see the oil streaks and it didn't seem too clean. Floors were a bit dirty too. A little bit more cleanliness would make the atmosphere better. I can't fully speak to the authenticity of either cuisine, but it's nice to have a comfortable sit-down restaurant that offers more Filipino food options. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has a wide variety of dishes to choose from. While there were a few minor shortcomings, I appreciate having another place in the area that highlights Filipino cuisine.

No one seemed interested in checking on guests or providing service. It gave the impression that staff meals were a higher priority than the paying customers. Here's why this ended up being a one-star experience for us: They call themselves "Manila BBQ," but there was no barbecue available. They also advertise as a seafood grill, yet there were no seafood options during our visit. There's a $4 upcharge for lechon belly, but no other pork dishes were offered--no pork adobo, no lechon kawali. If you're charging extra for a premium item, there should at least be other standard pork options included. So instead of 20 dollars it was was $24 per person.  Drinks are not included in the $24 price. Overall, the food quality was mediocre and didn't justify the cost. There's an automatic service charge of 18% for a party of plus an additional 3% credit card fee. We don't mind paying more for good food and a satisfying experience, but this just didn't deliver. Sadly, we won't be coming back.

Lefty runs the original location while his wife runs the second shop. I have not had a bad tasting meal here and I have been here a lot as this was one of my son's favorite spots when he was going to school out here. Back then they had poke. Miss those days. If you ono that local HI flavor and aloha, give Lefty-J a try and throw him a shaka for me. Mahalo nui brah!

I came on a weekday so there was a lot of parking. The restaurant is spacious and clean! The worker was very friendly and helpful. We ordered a tocilog and added longanisa. We also ordered a pork belly bowl with the pancit and lumpia add on. It was so nice to be able to opt to add those items on and not have to order them separately! We LOVED all the meats. The quality was top notch. The pancit and lumpia were also very good. I would love to give them a perfect score but I unfortunately can't because of their rice. Pinoys are known for hot, soft and fluffy rice. Theirs was more like long grain or even Basmati. It made the rice taste old. The silog plate came with garlic rice and it tasted nothing like our Filipino garlic rice. If they up their rice game this place would be perfection!
