You wouldn't think much of Kangnam Style if you eyed it while you were driving past, but it really is a hidden gem. They are a food truck that stays in one parking lot, and they have four picnic tables to eat at. Their menu is small, but what they do have is delicious. I went with a party of 3, with each of us ordering a different entrée. All three were great. We also got an order of Hosi fries(fries absolutely COVERED with a spicy sauce), which was personally not to my liking. Would recommend you try this place if you're in the area!

Traveled to this place since it had high reviews. Definitely doesn't disappoint. I got the bulgogi japchae and it packs some flavor. Very tasty. Friendly lady behind the counter and even brought my food to my car while I waited for them to cook it up. Going to visit here again when I come back.

I was in Harrisonburg for business, I yelped restaurants, looking for a gem, and I found it with this little food truck. But don't let the size of their Facitity fool you, they pack a huge size flavor. I ordered the deep fried pork with fried rice and the hoisin Fries, the Fries just sampling. They sounded interesting. First, these portions are large, 2 people can share a order. But if you want to be a glutton, by all means, go for it. Regrettably, I did. ; ). This meal was so good, I couldn't help my self. Then I tried the Fries, yum. They combined Heat, sweet, and crispy-ness with crinkle cut fries. Very good. The owners, where nice, they saw me waiting and opened up early for me. Always nice to see empathy in owners. Will definitely be back again. If you blink you will miss them, they are just before the tracks or just after the tracks depending on how you go. Just turn at Hernandez Fashion by the tracks.

Just wanted to try some Korean food in Harrisonburg and WOW. This place is absolutely amazing. Bulgogi was super flavorful and the kimchi was delicious. Staff was really kind and helpful as well! They have two tables outside the truck for limited seating as well!

Inexpensive, Tasty Food When I was at JMU, this place was a must-try for any out-of-town visitors. The flavors of the meals and their special fries offered an eating experience unlike any other place in town. I remember getting meals from Kangnam Style at least once a month! Revisiting it yesterday, I ordered the chicken fried rice. Maybe it's just me, but I think they used frozen vegetables with the rice. The fried rice was tasty and the traditional egg on top made me happy. However, I felt like the fried rice was missing some sort of special sauce or spice. Bottom line is this: try Kangnam style, just not their fried rice.

This place was fantastic! Me and my girlfriend shared crispy pork, bulgogi japchae, and hosi fries. The crispy pork was fresh and crunchy, but the bulgogi japchae was by far the best thing we ate. It came in generous portion, was flavorful, and full of bulgogi and veggies. We didn't know what to expect from the hosi fries, they were good but probably the weakest of the three. The couple running this were friendly and everything was made fresh. I'd definitely recommend this place, it's a bit harder to find, kinda hidden behind the building.

Actually 4 1/2 stars....had the Bulgogi japchae, large order...lacking the Bulgogi...the few pieces of meat were tender and tasty...for the price, I wouldn't get it again...

We were passing through Harrisonburg and wanted something not fried fast food for lunch. Korean food isn't my favorite, but I had some rice from a leftover poke bowl I wanted a protein for, and bulgogi sounded right. Nevermind the leftovers, this place is WOW. My wife opened her fried rice with chicken and I thought, "ooh, that looks good." Then I opened my bulgogi, and it was some of the best-looking food I've ever seen. Seriously, this pic does it no justice. Everything was placed just right and shouted, "I'm fresh! I'm delicious!" But did it taste good? Yes, very good. Kimchi isn't my fave, I liked the spice but the texture of cabbage doesn't work for me. The slaw was good, and the beef and vegetables, great! We don't get to Harrisonburg often, and I already can't wait to try more from their menu. Highly recommended.

I love Korean food and this is top tier deliciousness. This food truck is THE BEST in Harrisonburg by far. We ordered bulgogi and deep fried pork. Each came with a serving of rice, fried egg, Korean coleslaw, and the bulgogi came with kimchi. The price is absolutely amazing for the deal you get in food quantity and quality. My only regret is that we ate here once during this past visit to JMU and not more.

I love Korean food, but I don't get to have it very often. I saw this Korean food truck near JMU and I thought "I HAVE to try this". Oh. My. God. This was absolutely delicious. The people in the food truck we very nice, the food came out quickly, and it was the perfect Korean dish. The kimchi was so good, the beef was so flavorful, and the fried egg was such a nice addition for the meal. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for delicious local food!

Here is a place I would recommend to any one who drives through this area to get one of the most tasty Korean meat dishes. The meat Beef BBQ () and Pork BBQ () appear and taste to be they are either a family recipe or he was a chef of a decent restaurant in South Korea. The sweet, salty and spicy are well balanced. The meats itself carries a tenderness along with just enough fats in them. I am pretty sure the meat are tenderized prior or during marination process. The meat are grilled just enough to have the taste of grill taste. Each plate comes with rice and side salad and an fried egg which is a classic touch in all this. The truck is a total surprise in the middle of no where for a great Korean traditional tasting food experience. I accidentally found this place on my way down from MA to GA and Harrisonburg, VA is a half way point but last a few years I make sure to stop here and drive early and fast enough to make their seven' O clock closing time. It's so nice to taste something inexpensive and great tasting food after a nine-hour car ride from Northeast. Enjoy enjoy

Bulgogi was delicious! I wish there were more vegetables than rice in the dish I got, but that's just my personal preference.

But to be completely honest my partner in crime was not enamored by the experience. I may have a little bit of trouble convincing them to come back. On a separate note though, the mixed drinks here are fabulous. And our sever was excellent, even if she did trick me into ordering more drinks.

For appetizers we got the Maru fries and their Korean Fried Chicken wings -- HIGHLY RECOMMEND! And a bonus is that their fries are gluten free yet still taste amazingly soft and savory. I ordered the Bibimbap with beef and my boyfriend had their beef bulgogi plate. 10/10, no notes :) Our tummies were full & happy at the end of the night. We came around 7:30 and they close at 8:30 during the week, so they delivered our food super fast, hardly had to wait. The restaurant is super cute inside, we got sat at a cozy booth near the door and it was lovely. The only reason I subtracted one star is because our server was kind, just not attentive at all. He took our order and then disappeared. I understand it was close to closing and he was probably ready to go, but he didn't even ask if everything came out okay or if we needed anything. Not a huge deal though -- our overall experience was great and I would 100% go back again and I think everyone visiting Charlottesville should try this spot. They also do have takeout if you wanna grab a yummy bite but don't want to dine ;)

This place is consistent and clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is dangerously good. As many have said, you have to know what you're doing in order to make the most of this experience, and it IS an experience. You'll choose a soup base (all of them are good) which the waiters will bring and heat on your table. Then you'll hit the buffet and grab anything you want to add to your soup (they have all sorts of noodles, veggies, seafood and more). You'll also grab any meats you want to cook on your table's little grill. What I especially love is that the KBBQ and hot pot are all one flat rate, you don't have to order anything but your soup base and any drinks. I recommend getting a big plate for all of your soup add ons, and a small plate for your raw meats. They'll give you tongs to cook the meat and a giant pair of scissors to cut everything (wait to cut the meat until it's cooked). Apologies for the novel above, but maybe it will help someone. Yes it can be overwhelming if you're not used to the cuisine, but it is WORTH trying that something new. Qpot also has a full Chinese buffet, great for kids who are scared of the grill and the soup. We are truly in love with this restaurant. Thanks for always showing us a good time!
