Three to four weeks without glasses, and now we have to wait longer due to some idiot not doing their job right the first time. Today I had the most extensive and thorough exam I've ever had! Dr. Brown takes his time during the exam to make sure you are comfortable, not rushed and that you understand exactly what is going on. I was shown the photographic images of my eyes as he explained what we were seeing. I have some issues with my retinas that he was able to show me where, and what was happening with them. He was reassuring to me as I had concerns from a prior diagnosis done at a large local eye center where I felt "herded" through and dismissed. This office is so kind, personal and caring. Long story short I then ended up being enrolled in a test trial at UCLA for stem cell deficiency where I qualified for surgery. Weeks before my procedure in need of a simple scan I called Medford office and they refused to do a simple test for me stating I was "dismissed" because I went elsewhere for care They sent me elsewhere and I wasn't asking for treatment or diagnosis just a TEST! My doctors office from UCLA even called and they said no. My point being is if you are ever referred to another office like OHSU four hours away, make sure you know whether they are going to "dismiss" you where you can't get a simple test done from them.

It is a small, single doctor private practice but I feel better going there than a big box store where they just want to make a buck. Additionally, they are fun people to work with. I love their extremely broad choice of styles. I've also had some issues with my frames after I totally crushed them when they fell out of my bag, and they were able to fix them on the spot. They also are really great about living up to warranties and getting that sorted in a timely manner. When it came time to check out I was actually billed $228, when I mentioned I was quoted something much different over the phone, I was told there was nothing they could do and that they don't know who would have said that (which is weird to me considering how small the clinic is). They either need to do a better job coaching their front office staff, or they need to honor what customer has been told to avoid other unfortunate discrepancies resulting in lost clients.
