FOR ALL PC DESKTOP REPAIRS, PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING HERE TLDR: Do not go here, the proprietor is not familiar with PCs and will just take your computer to another shop. This significantly caused an increase in the repair timeline because he was just driving the computer back and forth and being a middleman. They wiped my data without consent and refuse refund of accountability on top of being very condescending the entire time. After a diagnosis, (which I already told them it would be the motherboard) I asked for a switch to another motherboard. Somehow, the owner decides to tell the other repair shop to wipe my only storage drive with all of my sensitive documents on it and did not notify me beforehand so I could back up all of my data. As a computer technician, this is the most common sense thing to do when working on a computer and shows the lack of experience with real desktop computers. I also asked for all of my old parts back many days prior to pick up and I was promised it back. After pick up and realizing ALL of my data was wiped, I called the owner and he did a complete 180 shift in personality. He was apologetic and understood it was his negligence that caused this issue and promised to call me the next morning to figure out a solution. I texted him and tried calling once after waiting an hour after the promised time and was met with a disrespectful text back telling me to help myself basically (screenshots included). After calling the other shop, they confirmed that the owner themselves told them to wipe the drive clean and the old parts were recycled because no one told them to send it back. Basically, this store is a scam for PC repair. DO NOT GO HERE and just find a technician who will actually work on your device themselves. read more

Purchase SIM cards unlock that did not work ended up sending them back Tareek told me he would refund when the package was received which is was and was told everything works but he would still refund me still have not received anything and have been getting the run around for the past week. This does not seem like a "legit business" refunding people for product that didn't work for them should be a given but Tareek thinks that he should just give refunds when ever he feels like he wants to. Completely ripped me off. First, by selling me the wrong phone. I had called I Unlock asking the price to unlock a Blade Z Max. His quote was double another. Then he said he had one already unlocked. I went and was overjoyed! However, later, when trying to find a case for it, I saw that they gave me a Blade Spark! I immediately returned it a few hours after having purchased. However, he wouldn't process the refund right away. He said, "It's like anywhere you go...Wal-Mart. They'll process it in 2 - 5 business days". I said that I needed a receipt of having returned it, knowing it won't go back on the card right away. He wouldn't do it. I argued to no avail. Instead, he wrote on a limp paper that I'd returned the phone at 7:45 pm. He claimed, "You're asking for a phone that doesn't exist. Good luck finding it!" The name of this store is extremely fitting because the amount of chaos that this place operates under is astounding. If you are a woman of color that wants to be treated like a human, with respect and dignity, I'd highly advise you take your money elsewhere. If you are an ally, I advise supporting businesses that don't aim to attack and gaslight their Black women customers. I was treated disrespectfully by two of the men working there where they lied about the time it would take to complete the work, acted defensively towards me and yelled at me when I brought up all false statements that they made to me regarding the supposed work time, failed to communicate any updates with me in person, and even gaslit me when I explained my issue and was told "that didn't happen". I was made to travel back and forth to the store for two days (while I was still at work) only to be continuously told "one more hour". On the second day, I even gave them four hours to complete the task that they repeatedly told me they would only need one hour for, just to return during my lunch break to hear that they couldn't give me my phone because they only NOW received the correct part- meaning they lied that they had the part to begin with the day before. Upon payment, the owner (is my assumption) mocked me and talked down on me when I approached the register to pay. When I asked whether discounts were available especially after the treatment that they gave me and two full days of no working phone, I was told I could "get a discount on the next purchase you make with us". I sat and watched multiple customers come in complaining about missing chargers and phone attachments so the chaos extends past their customer relations and into their actual work itself. I am a musician and I kept a lot of my masters on a computer I didn't really use anymore - thinking they would be safe there. Unfortunately 4 years after not using it I tried getting my data only to find that the computer was absolutely dead. Micks Tech Shop in Manhattan wanted to charge me $1200 to save my data which I definitely could NOT afford. KAOS only charged me about 20% of that and saved all my files!!! I'M SO GRATEFUL. I gave two computers to Kaos for repair. The Dell was very, very slow and the Toshiba touchpad didn't work. The Dell came back in worse shape than before. The Start button, Taskbar and system tray don't work at all. The Toshiba still has a useless touchpad. I paid on delivery so didn't know how bad they were until I tried them out at home. These people are so dishonest. I have no recourse aside from this review. I took my MacBook Pro for a software install, and when I returned they had my computer taken apart. I did not authorize this. When they returned it to me the computer didn't even turn on. On top of that, they didn't even put the screws back on. I returned the next day and I had to wait for them to sweep the floor and pick up my screws one by one. Wtf? The certified apple technician that I took it to afterward told me that they most likely didn't use anti static protection because they burned out my battery and processor. I'm looking at hundreds of dollars in repairs because these guys ruined my MacBook. I'm new in the neighborhood and wanted to support local businesses. These guys are not worth the headache. They give out free screen protectors for people to post positive reviews. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and avoided these hustlers. But it's too late to cry over spilled screws.
