Dr Brice saved my dog Kira's life this weekend. He noticed that she had Pyometra which is a bacterial infection of the Uterus. He and his Assistant Marcus were quick to ultrasound and prep for emergency surgery. It was a Saturday and if they hadn't done that day she wouldn't have been with us today. Thank you for being so caring and willing to help our little family member.

I cant tell you how great these people are. Dr Polloi and the staff she has are so great with my dogs. Both rescues who aren't very social. I had to bring my bigger dog in to get checked up on today and he is very protective and gets nervous around new people. They know exactly how to handle him and I really appreciate it because I have been to other vets who have made us feel stupid or like a bad dog owner because the dog is scared or gets protective and starts barking at the clinic. They gave me great advice and I will definitely be reaching out to a trainer they recommended. Thanks again for your patience and taking care of my boy Fitz.

This is a great clinic to go to for first-time pet owners in the Kapaa area. I became a customer when I got my first dog and I think this clinic is very organized. Not only did they see me within a 15 minute window of each of my scheduled appointments but my visits usually lasted no more than 30 minutes (even if I had concerns they were addressed immediately). The clinic is very good at refilling medication, printing clear and easy to understand invoices, and scheduling future appointments. Each appointment came out to roughly the same price as well considering I was getting all my dogs necessary shots. The only thing I would point out is that this clinic is usually always busy, so walk-ins are tough and immediate appointments are usually not a guarantee.

I found dr b from doing very extensive searches for holistic veterinarians and searching their backgrounds etc. trying to make the best choice for my baby, who can help get her on the right track and a good plan since she was 13 1/2 and I wanted to extend her life naturally providing for her the best I can. Dr Basko got on her plan right away, he wasted no time. A couple days after the phone consult he had a 2 part treatment plan ready for her. Part one- was a lot of detailed explanations what was going on inside and different ways we can fix it. Part two- was the treatment plan with links to all supplements and foods, shakes to make for her liver, trust me he knows his stuff. But it with a heavy heart that I write... that while I was collecting all the supplements for her to take and get her started on the right foot, she was brought to the hospital here in LA for anemia, and internal GI bleeding. Unfortunately long story short my baby, my best friend, my world did it make it out of the la hospital, the only reasoning for her death they gave us was: collapse. That's it no other explanations. I informed dr b and his team that unfortunately despite our best efforts to fix lulu and her health it was just too late, and I felt super disturbed by the no explanation from the la hospital which i stressed to him. I could not believe it, Dr Basko emailed me back and actually CARED to help me understand what happened to my baby, and get me the clarity I need. Versus her vet in LA who never even said he was sorry for my loss. Dr Basko is a kind, caring, patient and compassionate doctor who TRULY cares about animals, all animals. Lulu was so lucky to have this man as her new vet even if it was only for a week or two. Thank you for everything, from me and little lulu. Rip angel mommy will see you soon

Our baby would've died if Dr. Haas didn't rush to his office for us at night and perform surgery. I can't even think about what we would've done without him! I can't express in words how appreciative we are or how much we love Lihue Vet & Dr. Haas. We can not recommend highly enough and we could never repay him and the staff for their kindness, response to our emergency, patience, care, and help. Our little pup got attacked and dragged away on the beach by a wild pig hunting dog from the homeless camp. She was torn in half and we were traumatized. If Dr. Haas didn't agree to meet us and perform emergency surgery late night, our baby wouldn't be here. She got 28 staples and survived only because of Dr. Haas & his assistant Kaleo who thankfully still happened to be closing up at 8pm at night. EVERY single one of the Lihue Veterinary staff that we worked with - Lisa, Lynne, & Kaleo - were ALL amazing. We would say they all deserve a raise, but they're all the most amazing family who work together. We are forever indebted to them. Our bill was also 1/3 of what it would have been at home on Oahu so we brainstorming ways to to take care of these wonderful people or donate to the clinic when we settle in back at home. They are the most caring and AMAZING VETS ON KAUAI! Dr. Haas is truly our hero.

I can't say enough great things about Maki, her communication, and customer service. I reached out from Oahu after discovering the company online. I really liked the aquamation process, how gentle it is in comparison to cremation, and that it is environmentally conscious. There are no pet services like this on Oahu and with Maki's help I was able to figure out how to ship Walter's body to her. (For anybody wondering I used Aloha Air Cargo to ship) She kept me in the loop through the whole process, accommodated all my requests, and above all else was so kind and supportive. I feel that Walter was in great hands at Anuenue; it was and still is so hard to lose him but I feel at peace knowing his body was handled with great care. His remains were shipped back to me and everything was beautifully and meticulously packaged. Anuenue provided a beautiful bamboo urn and a clay paw print. I also received hair clippings, nose and paw prints, and, upon my request, some of his bones. I had asked if I could keep any in-tact bones/teeth, Maki said yes and after I selected which ones I wanted she carefully packaged each individual piece. I know that it is a taboo thing for most people but if you are like me and wanted something more tangible just know that that is an option for you. Overall, I would highly recommend choosing them for your pet's after-care needs.

We liked the idea of a greener approach rather than cremation, and the service they gave was excellent. It was very timely, and when they were finished our dog was returned in a beautiful bamboo container with his name etched into the lid. Inside, instead of just a plastic bag containing his remains, they were then enclosed in a linen like bag. He now rests near his favorite spot in the house and we couldn't be happier. Definitely consider using them, you won't regret it.
