Our ohana went to many clinics on island but none could top this clinic. We first trusted Kauai vet a few months ago with our 12yo old lady Brindle/Blue pitbull named Fatgirl, this clinic provided the most reliable and optimal care for our fatgirl who was going through a rough time dealing with the symptoms of her cancer. They helped us put fatgirl to rest and took very good care of us giving us MANY options, treating us with aloha, patience and compassion. Kauai vet clinic doctors AND staff took very good of our old lady and just met our Fatboy for the first time yesterday with the same care and attention. Their emergency fee is also a lot cheaper than most clinics. We will continue to trust kauai vet as they've been really good to us and our fur babies. Special mahalo to our Fatboy's Dr. Bethany, tech. Rebecca and front office Aulana that treat us like ohana. Mahalo nui!!!

Both paws are bleeding. He then blamed me for holding her wrong. I said we are leaving immediately and his only response was "you still have a bill to pay". She has been to the groomer within the last 4 weeks and did perfectly. The vet chopped all her nails past the quick before I knew what was happening. If they can't manage a simple nail trim (that wasn't needed) I would never trust them with anything else! She is also now traumatized so going to a new vet or the groomer could be a future issue. During the highest peek of exhaustion & uncertainty, we called around and many clinics wanted $700+ just to look at the kitten, not including anything of treatment yet or not answer or call back. We received a call back and Dr. Imamura took us on at our most emergent hour. Right away, we picked up on her willingness to help & be there in anyway she could. We were absolutely amazed by her hospitality & her kindness during our most vulnerable state. Dr. Imamura gave us the comforting and reassurance we needed even when we experienced this lost . If anyone has gotten this far in reading this lengthy review, I highly recommend taking a visit to this hospital/clinic. I can't say enough great things about Maki, her communication, and customer service. I reached out from Oahu after discovering the company online. I really liked the aquamation process, how gentle it is in comparison to cremation, and that it is environmentally conscious. There are no pet services like this on Oahu and with Maki's help I was able to figure out how to ship Walter's body to her. (For anybody wondering I used Aloha Air Cargo to ship) She kept me in the loop through the whole process, accommodated all my requests, and above all else was so kind and supportive. I feel that Walter was in great hands at Anuenue; it was and still is so hard to lose him but I feel at peace knowing his body was handled with great care. His remains were shipped back to me and everything was beautifully and meticulously packaged. Anuenue provided a beautiful bamboo urn and a clay paw print. I also received hair clippings, nose and paw prints, and, upon my request, some of his bones. I had asked if I could keep any in-tact bones/teeth, Maki said yes and after I selected which ones I wanted she carefully packaged each individual piece. I know that it is a taboo thing for most people but if you are like me and wanted something more tangible just know that that is an option for you. Overall, I would highly recommend choosing them for your pet's after-care needs.

We liked the idea of a greener approach rather than cremation, and the service they gave was excellent. It was very timely, and when they were finished our dog was returned in a beautiful bamboo container with his name etched into the lid. Inside, instead of just a plastic bag containing his remains, they were then enclosed in a linen like bag. He now rests near his favorite spot in the house and we couldn't be happier. Definitely consider using them, you won't regret it.
