Huge portion of meat Jun plate!

Honestly I really loved this place and the casual takeout KBBQ style brought back nostalgia. The prices were very fair for the amount of food they gave being between 15-20 bucks a plate. They don't skimp you and the quality of their meat Jun was perfect. If you're in Kapolei you definitely have to check this spot out.

I really enjoyed the mac salad, kalbi, and Hokkaido potato. This was my first time ordering takeout, and everything was delicious. They were out of the cucumber salad, so I went with the kimchi instead and it did not disappoint. Overall, a great meal and I'll definitely be back.

They give a lot!! Especially the side order Shrimp Tempura. I ordered delivery with Uber Eats so the food wasn't hot. The driver took so long! ‍ I'd order from this restaurant again though. Good price and delivery fee was zero!!

Great food with very generous portions! Everything we ordered was great. We will be back.

I forgot to finish this review from last week! Everything was awesome! Food, service and the dine in is finally open! I wish I had a better photo of my fries but husband smashed it all then offered it to me (it was that yummy!) my son got the special & he ate the whole box! Normally there is some kind of left overs when he has Korean plates but none this time! The kimchee jigae & Bi Bim Kook Soo I took home, DELICIOUS

Regular spicy pork and meat Jun plate

Came here cause Gina's is closed on a Monday. This takeout place has some tables to sit on but one side of the tables and chairs were all occupied with boxes and supplies. I came here surprised with how tasty the meat Jun was. The spicy pork was also flavorful but I was disappointed they don't wrap it in foil since all the spicy pork sauce went into my meat Jun and my potato. I asked for no rice and got 5 sides with my combo plate. The banchan were good but nothing special. The wait was over 15 minutes for my food, so I was starving waiting. A phone order was taken right before me so I had to wait for the phone order before I got mine even though I ate inside and was waiting. Overall, I'd come back and would eat here again. However, it's not my first pick of Korean food in kapolei.

Kapolei BBQ is up in the top 10% of the Korean restaurants on Oahu. Locally owned and operated, service is fast friendly and accommodating. Lots of parking in a private parking lot. Small dining room, very clean and well lit. My favorite is the prepared cabbage Bun Chong. In my opinion the best on the island. Food is expertly prepared and delicious. A definite must visit to satisfy your Korean food cravings.

And then there was the chili peppah watah. So so good. Spicy, tangy, and exactly what all that rich food needed. This place is such a fun mashup of Hawaiian local food and Filipino flavors. Garlic, furikake, kimchee, chili peppah watah, enormous portions. Bow to both cultures because somehow it all works together on one very crowded plate. N and I finished enough of it to be completely stuffed. We really wanted to try one of those ridiculous ice cream pies, but then we saw the size. Nope. We got scared. Come hungry. When we tried to come back they were closed so def pay close attention to their hours. The garlic chicken, the short ribs.. They sell mason jars filled with homemade juices so buy one, you'll need it. Service is fast, parking is plenty and they have ice cold water to refill your water bottle (juuuust kidding) no but really anytime we come to Hawaii we just feel like we are at home, warm smiles, and come hungry because they do not skimp out on portions. Thank you for making such incredible plates. I'll just hear in Cali dreaming of you...

I like that each of us got our own pots for our broth. I chose the pumpkin. I usually get the herbal, which is my fave. I decided to try something new this time. It tasted more like tomato than pumpkin. I'll stick to my herbal the next time. For your meats you can choose: toro beef, beef brisket, pork belly, chicken and pork shoulder. We got a little of everything. You can also get veggies, noodles and seafood from the fridge. For dessert, they have this sago bar. Don't forget the sauce bar. You can mix and match all your sauces. I like the sesame sauce mixed with minced garlic and the ginger onion sauce. Some of the items I got for my pot were: beef, head on shrimp, clams, pumpkin, taro, corn and lobster balls. My fave was the head on shrimp and pumpkin. The corn wasn't too fresh. I loved their Taiwanese shave ice. Unfortunately, they don't have it anymore. It got replaced by the sago bar. I tried the mango and ube. The ube was good and fragrant. Auntie was there. I knew her from back in the day when she had Sweet Home Cafe in McCully. She looks fabulous and is still as friendly as ever.
