Haven't been here for years, was in the Kapolei area, decided to have lunch. I was very surprised by the portion and the taste was really good, especially the cucumber Kim Chee. The Saba plate was huge...$16-. If you're in the Kapolei area, give this place a try. Aloha, Derek

I really enjoyed the mac salad, kalbi, and Hokkaido potato. This was my first time ordering takeout, and everything was delicious. They were out of the cucumber salad, so I went with the kimchi instead and it did not disappoint. Overall, a great meal and I'll definitely be back.

Chicken Katsu

Great food with very generous portions! Everything we ordered was great. We will be back.

They give a lot!! Especially the side order Shrimp Tempura. I ordered delivery with Uber Eats so the food wasn't hot. The driver took so long! ‍ I'd order from this restaurant again though. Good price and delivery fee was zero!!

I forgot to finish this review from last week! Everything was awesome! Food, service and the dine in is finally open! I wish I had a better photo of my fries but husband smashed it all then offered it to me (it was that yummy!) my son got the special & he ate the whole box! Normally there is some kind of left overs when he has Korean plates but none this time! The kimchee jigae & Bi Bim Kook Soo I took home, DELICIOUS

Came here cause Gina's is closed on a Monday. This takeout place has some tables to sit on but one side of the tables and chairs were all occupied with boxes and supplies. I came here surprised with how tasty the meat Jun was. The spicy pork was also flavorful but I was disappointed they don't wrap it in foil since all the spicy pork sauce went into my meat Jun and my potato. I asked for no rice and got 5 sides with my combo plate. The banchan were good but nothing special. The wait was over 15 minutes for my food, so I was starving waiting. A phone order was taken right before me so I had to wait for the phone order before I got mine even though I ate inside and was waiting. Overall, I'd come back and would eat here again. However, it's not my first pick of Korean food in kapolei.

Kapolei BBQ is up in the top 10% of the Korean restaurants on Oahu. Locally owned and operated, service is fast friendly and accommodating. Lots of parking in a private parking lot. Small dining room, very clean and well lit. My favorite is the prepared cabbage Bun Chong. In my opinion the best on the island. Food is expertly prepared and delicious. A definite must visit to satisfy your Korean food cravings.

After looking for a place to eat in Kapolei we came across Gina's Kapolei and walking into the restaurant we saw that Gina's son was working behind the counter!!! It was awesome to have the yummy food that was so much a part of my past . We got the family mini pack - it's great for 2-3 people who have a large appetite- 3 large pieces of Kalbi - bulgofi - man du - BBQ chicken- meat Jun - rice and choice of 4 veggies. It's a generous portion of meat more than enough for 3 people and we had leftovers too. The food is very good the Kalbi is a standout and the fried Man Du and meat Jun was excellent. We loved the seaweed w/ daikon - tofu and kimchee all so good. The people are friendly and really helpful - parking is plentiful. I can't wait to go back really the perfect meal no matter what you have. They also have catering party players and catering sets great for a gathering

So you can imagine the pure joy I experienced when I walked into Gina's and recognized the banchan, size and char on meats, the smell, being surrounded by local families and friendly faces behind the counter. My heart leapt for joy seeing that I could have both fish jun AND kalbi and if I wanted I could've gotten a third choice. My eyes spotted a familiar side dish of seasoned potatoes, which I left it for the next person and got the daikon, perfectly seasoned not dry at all jap chae, and kim chi cucumbers. When I took my first bit into the kalbi, life was made good again. It was reset and welcome home I needed. It was a perfectly cut and marinated kalbi. The fish Jin was seasoned so well I barely needed to dip it into a sauce. The portions could have fed 2. I asked if they were related to the Gina's in Market City. Bro, this is the OG Gina's!! The owner said they sold the other one and his mom helped him start this one. It looked like the whole family was behind the counter. I wanted to cry. Not all things have changed in Hawai'i! Some things got better! OG Gina's being in Kapolei is one of em.

Food tasted pretty good except the poke. It looks decent, but tastes old and mushy. The sides were ok. We tried to order the garlic chicken, but they told me they put it away. I noticed the staff had intentionally left the phone on dead tone so they don't receive phone calls because it was a bit busy within the store. I told them about the phone originally because I could hear it and he did correct it until the phones started ringing again. Then I seen him purposely leave it on. Staff are friendly, but with the putting away of the food too early and not answering their phones is pretty mind blowing. I would think the owner is losing money when they don't receive phone orders and putting away food that would've been sold. Lots of parking and dining tables are outside.

There is a wide selection of dishes, including starters, sushi, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, plates, and bowls. Besides sharing a pitcher of beer, my tablemate ordered the Pastrami Sandwich and I had the Korean Fried Chicken. My plate came with rice and mac salad, but I asked for French Fries in place of the rice. Alas, I got a plate with rice and fries. Sigh. The pastrami sandwich comes with a choice of fries, mac, or green salad. My tablemate opted for the mac salad. Except for the faux pas on my dish, the food was well presented and prepared properly. Service was fine and the prices reasonable being that it's 2024. My primary quibble is their hours of operation. 11am on weekdays and 10am on weekends is too late for a golf course restaurant. They have a breakfast menu but why bother? Our tee time was at 6:40am so we had to find breakfast elsewhere. My other quibble is the limited choice in beer by the pitcher ... Bud Lite? The restaurant is nice and it could be so much more ... a conditional recommendation for now.

She was quick to help me find another option. I ended up going for just a plain green tea as their tap/soda machine wasn't operating properly. Second time, same issue with soda machine, but I did get to have the Li Hing Lilikoi Daiquiri that did not disappoint! I will be back for this! I do wish they fix their soda machine though. The food is always why I come again and again. The main things to highlight would be... Umami Scallion Rice, Shio Negi Tofu, Garlic Shio Cabbage. Yaki-Shabu beef, toro beef, umakara Ribeyes are definitely a must too! Scallion rice is definitely underrated, imagine scallions mixed with rice and a light semi-sweet and savory sauced flavored rice! I could eat like two and be good, but you wouldn't want to stop thefe. The negi means green onions so that with tofu... what can go wrong? I do like all the marinated meats and such! I do really enjoy the Umakara as it's rich deep flavor really brings an umami punch as well! I definitely want to come back already. Overall, a great place to come after work and enjoy some great service from Rayce. Everyone else there is super nice. The bartender, ciara or ciera? Drinks were really good too! Aside from the soda machine being down, I have noticed sometimes the menus aren't the cleanest. But, as a whole, I would definitely not let that stop me from coming!
