New place to try. It's a quaint fast food Korean build a plate restaurant. It has ample table seating, well lit in a strip mall. Great parking and wonderful friendly service. We ordered two combo plates. Kal Bi with Meat jun and Kal Bi with spicy port. Each plate includes two fried mandoo (very tasty) plus choice of four sides and rice. Option for no rice for one extra side for me. The portions are impressive and the food is fresh and delicious. It's enough for several wonderful meals. The spicy pork had those crisp black edges similar to BBQ char siu. My favorite part. You get two large thin slices of spicy pork (ask to have them sliced) plus the large cut pieces of Kal bi. The Meat Jun was tender and sliced. The veggies were all well flavored, delicious and freshly made: better than most places. We truly enjoyed stopping here. So definitely well worth visiting since we're from the opposite side of the island. We will definitely be back. They just opened in July, taking over a previous dining location, so newly renovated. Place is pretty good went about 3 times since they opened. First two times were great, the most recent time was ehh because it felt like the lady at the front was rushing us to order. Tried Miss Kimchi Korean BBQ based off the review from Kelli Shiroma Braiotta Instagram video and this was worthwhile. Their portions are HUGE and they're not stingy with the sides either. When I first started eating, I wondered if they forgot to give me rice but it was hidden under the massive portions of Kalbi. Wish I took a photo but I was so busy eating that I didn't wanna clean my hands to snap a photo. The Kalbi is very meaty and tender - didn't even need to use a knife to cut it. I felt like I won the lottery because it wasn't mostly bone, the meat to bone ratio is great. I loved how soft the shoyu potatoes were - this is one of my permanent side choices when I eat Korean plate lunch. All of the shoyu potatoes were soft and wasn't under-shoyu'ed (it's not a word but some places barely use any shoyu). There's nothing more heartbreaking than craving Korean plate lunch and trying to eat a barely cooked through potato. This was not the case here. Also their spicy cucumber kimchi had lots of kimchi - another permanent side choice. I've noticed some places cut their cucumbers very large so they don't have to offer a lot and you can barely tell it has kimchi. Told my boyfriend their portions were big enough for 2-3 people and joked that maybe I AM 2-3 people. We're DEFINITELY coming back here. This is our new go to Korean plate lunch spot. Service was good, what you would expect from any Korean spot. We ordered 1 plate of meat jun and chicken katsu to share. Portions are very generous. Everything was delicious; the chicken katsu was still crispy but the time we got home. However the mandoo filling was a little on the mushy side. Familiar fare you find at most take out Korean bbq places, I had the kalbi/meat jun mix. The kalbi flavor was balanced, cooked perfectly and tasted very good. My portion of meat Jun was just ok due to being slightly over battered and a bit soggy, both accompanying sauces were very well balanced tho and tasted better than most pick your sides places. Speaking of sides Kimchi and kimchi cucumber tasted ono. Service was friendly and professional. Place is clean, and located next to Shiro's in Ewa Beach. We found Miss Kimchi on Yelp and it looked solid so we drove out to give it a try. Boy are we glad we did! Everything was great! Nice, clean, new restaurant, friendly staff and super-fun owner and fantastic food! I have to say the Kalbi is the best I've had in a long, long time... marinated and grilled to perfection, it was juicy and delicious! We had the BBQ chicken, Chicken Katsu, BBQ Beef and the Meat Jun, as well. No misses at all. Flavors were spot on and nothing was over cooked nor over-grilled... perfection. Portions were huge and all of the banchan sides were great (you get to choose four with the meals!). There were 7 tables with two seats each and we were able to sit down and enjoy our meals comfortably. This is where the old Elim's used to be! My family and I tried the meat jun/spicy pork combo plate and yukgaejang meal. The meat jun and spicy pork are pretty good (both have a nice charred flavor). The yukgaejang had a good beefy flavor (didn't taste like seafood-based broth) with lots of beef, bean sprouts, and glass noodles inside; it was moderately spicy to me (-- perfect!). The beef was really tender, lean, and had a pleasant taste, so it seems like the meat was boiled in the soup well/for a long time (not separately, like some other restaurants). The banchan choices are similar to what Elim's had, and they all seemed to have good flavor. We'll be back! I'll also note that I have a gluten sensitivity. I didn't ask which ingredients are in the yukgaejang, but as of the next morning I have no reactions. I also usually stick to cabbage and bean sprout banchan because those are less likely to have shoyu than the other choices! read more

The food was flavorful and I appreciated how the kalbi was cut so I don't look like a complete animal eating in public. Around 11 am we came to eat here for the first time on July 21, 2026. The ladies working there are awesome and funny. Love talking stories with them. I ordered a regular meat jun and my other half got their regular fish jun. Each regular plate has 4 sides for veggies. I got potatoes with mayo, choy sum or bok choy, bean sprouts and cucumber kim chi. My other half got seaweed, regular kim chi, potatoes with mayo and tofu. Food was so amazing and tasty. The portions are huge. What an amazing place to dine in. Such friendly staffs and delicious foods. The two girls and the owner were a literal vibe! Talk about hands down the best food paired with the best customer service you could ever get! The meat jun sauce isn't your average shoyu, it's the old school Korean meat Jun sauce! The spicy pork had just the right amount of spice and grilled to perfection. Mrs wanted to try this fairly new edition to the Ewa community and we're glad we did. For our first time there we had their mini meat Jun and mini bibimbap with choices of 2 banchan side dishes with scoops of rice on each plate. Miss Kim Chee's has taken over the old Elim's location, and it's definitely worth checking out. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and the service was excellent from both the staff and the owner. The owner is a former Campbell athlete with years of experience in the Korean BBQ industry, and it shows in the quality of the food. I ordered the Mama's Special, and the portion was huge. Easily enough for 2-3 people. It came with BBQ chicken, meat jun, kalbi, rice, and four vegetable side dishes, making it a great value. My daughter ordered the chicken katsu, and she absolutely loved it, especially the sauce.
