New Korean plate lunch restaurant in ewa beach, opened in the spot that was formerly Elims. It's nice to have a Korean restaurant here other than Pearls. The interior is updated and clean. Service was good, what you would expect from any Korean spot. We ordered 1 plate of meat jun and chicken katsu to share. Portions are very generous. Everything was delicious; the chicken katsu was still crispy but the time we got home. However the mandoo filling was a little on the mushy side. They have the usual sides: kimchi, Mac salad, Japchae, etc. the kimchi tasted pretty fresh.

Superb and humorous customer service from the friendly lady. We're informed there are no preservatives used in Mama's Special. One of their popular items marked with an asterisk offering two scoops of rice, kalbi, meat jun, bbq chicken, plus four choices of veggies. Loved their marination that produced flavorful, succulent kalbi. Tasty egg batter stayed intact with fabulous meat jun. Tender bbq chicken. Equally yummy from chop chae, potato salad, pickled seaweed, and bean sprouts. Massive plate served heat hot, loaded with generous and tasty portions. Newly renovated interior. Choice of dine in or to go. 3% surcharge applied to cards. Free parking in Ewa Beach Shopping Center.

If you're in the Ewa area at the end of the road and craving for some Korean food. Give this place a try. They give a lot of food. Aloha, Derek

    Kalbi /meat Jun

Familiar fare you find at most take out Korean bbq places, I had the kalbi/meat jun mix. The kalbi flavor was balanced, cooked perfectly and tasted very good. My portion of meat Jun was just ok due to being slightly over battered and a bit soggy, both accompanying sauces were very well balanced tho and tasted better than most pick your sides places. Speaking of sides Kimchi and kimchi cucumber tasted ono. Service was friendly and professional. Place is clean, and located next to Shiro's in Ewa Beach. Give this place a try if you in that area and craving Korean bbq.

We found Miss Kimchi on Yelp and it looked solid so we drove out to give it a try. Boy are we glad we did! Everything was great! Nice, clean, new restaurant, friendly staff and super-fun owner and fantastic food! I have to say the Kalbi is the best I've had in a long, long time... marinated and grilled to perfection, it was juicy and delicious! We had the BBQ chicken, Chicken Katsu, BBQ Beef and the Meat Jun, as well. No misses at all. Flavors were spot on and nothing was over cooked nor over-grilled... perfection. Portions were huge and all of the banchan sides were great (you get to choose four with the meals!). There were 7 tables with two seats each and we were able to sit down and enjoy our meals comfortably. This is a pretty local spot and I'm sure the locals like it that way, but as "visitors" now, we will definitely support Miss Kimchi and be back whenever we can!

If I could give 5+++ stars, I would! It's my birthday and I wanted to eat Korean food. I chose meat jun & chicken katsu while my daughter got the kalbi and meat Jun combo. Oh my lanta. One combo meal could easily feed a family of 3 or 4. They pack the food in that plate! Food was delicious! The sides were amazing and not salty. The two ladies at the counter--so friendly and sweet! Thank you for my birthday mandoo Clean dining area with several tables. Definitely a family feel and good background local music--not loud but just right Definitely coming back again. It's across Campbell HS. Plenty of parking.

I'm always down to try new places and Miss Kimchi did not disappoint! The owner is hilarious and the worker up front was so friendly and kind. The food was flavorful and I appreciated how the kalbi was cut so I don't look like a complete animal eating in public. The veggies were all fresh and the kimchi from these types of places usually tastes sour to me. Not here. It was so good I ordered a small container of kimchi to go. Will definitely be back! Very clean restaurant. Updated interior and lots of parking.

Fish jun with 4 sides of kim chi, seaweed, potatoes with mayo and tofu.

Around 11 am we came to eat here for the first time on July 21, 2026. The ladies working there are awesome and funny. Love talking stories with them. I ordered a regular meat jun and my other half got their regular fish jun. Each regular plate has 4 sides for veggies. I got potatoes with mayo, choy sum or bok choy, bean sprouts and cucumber kim chi. My other half got seaweed, regular kim chi, potatoes with mayo and tofu. Food was so amazing and tasty. The portions are huge. What an amazing place to dine in. Such friendly staffs and delicious foods. The dinning area is very nice and it wasn't busy till after we ordered, more people arrived to order and dine in. We will definitely be coming back again.

The two girls and the owner were a literal vibe! Talk about hands down the best food paired with the best customer service you could ever get! The meat jun sauce isn't your average shoyu, it's the old school Korean meat Jun sauce! The spicy pork had just the right amount of spice and grilled to perfection. The meat jun was clearly the best I've ever had! We saw this place on social media from an influencer and immediately my husband knew I wanted it! I am a huge Korean food fanatic and I will come here time and time again! Another thing I was impressed with was the vegetables and sides! Talk about the freshest crunchiest vegetables and the Mac salad and mayo potatoes was soooo Ono! I would recommend this to everyone around the island and I hope nothing but the best and all the success for this restaurant! If I could give 1000 stars to this place I would!

The family of steamer on the back wall is home to the delicious and unique fillings in regular an mini as well but you better make your decision because the portions here are very hearty that an ordinary brown bag will collapse at the weight of their plate so of course I got a mini with chow funn and eggplant tofu to share for dinner yes share lol! They do cater as well and are able to use their giant dining area for your event as well is a nice and convenient way to throw a party especially with lots of free parking where I think it's great vibe for a place to not just make but helps you to celebrate whatever the occasion with various dishes that we all love and is very comforting to support this small local biz. Which was worth it! It came with: -any fried or any fried noodles -any ramen (which came in an XL bowl) -5 choices of selected item that were listed on menu WE WERE SURPRISED with our order!!! We made the right choice to try the family combo this time around! We ordered: shrimp fried rice, char sui ramen, which the bowl was so HUGE! We wanted a huge bowl like that to take home hahaha The 5 choices we made were- chicken katsu, mochiko chicken, fried chicken, shrimp shumai, and gyoza. Our table was full, but made all our tummy's full and soooo satisfied even if we still had some food to take home. I forgot to take a picture and we were starting to eat so it was missing a shumai and missing the fried chicken photo. Also, they have a complimentary salad and I forgot to take a picture of that too. I wanted to take a picture of everything together, but hard when you got your whole family and they already hungry hahahaha ALL the staff are always welcoming and sooooo nice! I like that they interact with our children even tho our children can be a handful. Their service is always quick and the food always comes out correct and hot! Most of the time they give a complimentary side order of mochi balls and give the kids these blow up flower thingys. Haha Besides things on the sides as storage for big orders like boxes, the place is well kept clean as far as tables and floors. I never seem to have a problem. That place gives our family a feel at home vibe! It's our Go To Ramen spot, so of course we will definitely visit them soon!

Everything was cooked fast, fresh to order, and great bang for your buck considering all the pricy touristy spots you can go to. We also appreciated that they had plenty of healthy options with lots of veggies. This spot is a very typical Asian American cantonese restaurant and every dish we tried was great. In fact, afterwards we put in more orders for take out so we can eat it for dinner as well. 100% would come back. Their menu is huge and I'm sure some things are better than others so I would suggest sticking to the classics and you won't be let down. Steamed fish filet served with garlic and green onions: light, fresh, tender, and delicate with a flavorful sauce. Always a hit in my family 9.5/10 Mongolian beef: very tender beef over some stir fried onions and with a sweet and savory sauce. This plate had a more sweet sauce then I usually am used to but everyone was really happy with it and had no real complaints. 9/10 Curry chicken: not something I usually order at a Chinese restaurant but was glad we tried as it was a very tender chicken dish with a flavorful yellow curry and some veggies. The sauce mixed with white rice was unbeatable. 10/10 Eggplant and tofu in garlic sauce: saucy, tender and garlicky, it was a standard version of this dish and hit the spot. I think it could of had even more garlicky flavor but I am nitpicking and would still get anytime if I came back. 8.5/10 Mixed veggies with garlic sauce: light and healthy and the wok hei really came through. 8.5/10 Shrimp chow fun with gravy: shrimp was not overcooked and very tender and the noodles were al dente. The whole dished was topped with a boatload of savory sauce. Was even better with some added chili oil. Also once you ate the noodles you can add some rice into the sauce to soak it up and enjoy it that way as well. 9/10 In summary, come and support this family ran restaurant. If you are craving this style of Chinese food served family style with excellent service, it will certainly hit the spot.

Reasonably priced and extremely popular. The chicken was fried in bite sizes with a crispy coating and hints of Chinese 5 spice. It was served on a bit of cabbage with fried basil. Great flavors with a crunchy texture. The joong or zong zhi was mochi rice with pork and preserved egg. If you were looking for home style sticky rice, you got it here with a bit of a light sauce. The preserved egg brings back memories of Popo's kitchen/ your childhood. We tried Taiwan tofu pudding for dessert. You should order it even if you order nothing else. Perfect for two.
