She is never nice, not even when booking an appt. She talks over you and rushes you. She will even hang up on you. The other front desk girls are new and very pleasant but they really don't know what they doing. Dr. Ing would give me an estimate and these girls would try to run a way more expensive bill claiming this and that needs to be done which wasn't required by my Dr. It makes me so nervous every time I have a procedure done because I am charged so many different amounts varying from one associate to the next. My family has been going there for many years, but we will follow Dr. Ing to his new location! He is the best!

I will be filing a complaint against HFD with DCCA and RICO for billing me for a service that was refused. I suffer from severe dental anxiety and was incredibly anxious, but Dr. Brooke Burgess-Uperesa completely put me at ease. 1-Star Review - After spending over $25k with him, Dr. Okano still refused to help save my tooth…read moreI have been a patient of Dr. Michael M. Okano in Kapolei for years. He has already done four dental implants for me that cost well over $25,000. I trusted him with major, expensive work and expected the same level of care and respect when I returned with another tooth issue. Instead, Dr. Okano examined the tooth and immediately pushed for extraction with zero explanation of why saving it wasn't possible. When I clearly told him I did not want the tooth pulled and wanted to explore a root canal to preserve it, he refused to discuss any alternatives. I politely asked for a referral to an endodontist for a second opinion -- a completely reasonable request before an irreversible procedure. He flat-out refused. No reasons were given. No discussion of risks, benefits, or options. He simply placed a temporary filling and left me hanging, all because I dared to ask for a specialist consultation and a second opinion. After investing tens of thousands of dollars with this practice, I was shocked and disappointed by how little regard he showed for my wishes or my right to informed consent. This is not the patient-centered care I expected from someone who markets himself as providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art dentistry. If you're facing a potential root canal versus extraction, think twice before seeing Dr. Okano. He seems far more interested in pulling teeth than in working with patients who want every reasonable chance to save them. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to look elsewhere if they value autonomy and tooth preservation. Extremely disappointed.

I told the representative that that was provided a week earlier in three different phone calls. I really felt bad for the nice representative she told me they did not have any information and sometimes the answering service takes information. This type of practice is unacceptable.
