I will preface that I retired from the medical community after 20 years of service. I'm disappointed to see that patient care and customer service are not a priority in this office. I scheduled an appointment two weeks ago. I had to take 4 hours off to come to my dental appointment and to put it in perspective my wage for 4 hours is $160. First off, I did not receive an appointment reminder. I looked on the website an hour and a half before my appointment time to confirm my own appointment because the website lists they are closed on Friday's. Receptionist states they were open and I let her know that the website says differently. Secondly, I arrive at the dentist office "on time." Finally, Surprise. Surprise. Door locked. I called the office --once again -- because I did not realize there are two locations in Waipahu. It would be nice if there was a note on the door or the appointment clerk directed new patients to the correct office in advance. I will not be using this office for my families dental care needs.

Dr. Palola's office in Waipio is located on the second floor, near the Waipio Costco next to the Starbucks. The office is clean and actually kinda stylish. I like the archways in the office and I was given a brief tour when I came in, which I liked because knowing my surroundings helps put me at ease. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, they had a comfort menu with everything from blankets to a t.v. screen with Netflix. I only wish that I didn't procrastinate and made an appointment to see Dr. Palola sooner.

I sat down on the chair, they put the napkin around my neck and he came and asked me what was wrong, I told him my situation. I told him I just wanted him to look at it. Very dissatisfied…read more Initially, I went with Holiday to get Invisalign. I truly felt like they were really pushing me to sign the contract for the sale. I was already planning to commit, but didn't feel any type of genuine connection as a patient/client on behalf of the sales team. I did sign. But, having committed to spending thousands of dollars you would think that they would have set me up for success.. only to find out the day I get fitted for my retainers, "Oh, we don't have the digital monitoring attachment for iPhone 17 pro max. We will call you to pick that up when we get the attachment...." Like, shouldn't you have asked what kind of phone I had before? They said the attachment would come in a week, and they would give me a call when it becomes available so I can pick it up. I waited a week.. a month... I am now on week 13 out of 26 and they send me a text asking why I haven't started my digital monitoring...? OH, with the attachment that you never bothered to call me to pick up? Um, hello... I was waiting for a call back. If that wasn't bad enough.. They sent me a "referral" by text message to get my wisdom teeth removed.. I was very nervous to do the removal, and if my nerves weren't already firing, I found out the day of surgery that Holiday Orthodontics Pearl City never even sent a referral stating which teeth should be removed, or anything at all for that matter. Super unprofessional. Super irritating. Super offended as a customer who trusted them with my smile. I am happy with the results of my retainers, but wish I could have filled the pockets of an Orthodontist that actually cares about their patients. Now I'm stuck making installments to these guys. Unreal.
