Absolutely obsessed with Kapow! The vibe inside is absolutely insane in the best way possible, the staff was super sweet as well! We got the edamame and cauliflower bites to start (make sure to ask for the cauliflower to be extra crispy)- and our table devoured 2 of each of these apps! I also got the Poke bowl, which might have actually been one of the best Poke bowls I have ever had in my life. The spicy peppers with the fresh ahi tuna and microgreens and more, I will be thinking of it for a very long time.
I've been to this establishment many times before, but I never wrote a review--sorry about that! My favorite entree is the Peking duck, Vietnamese chicken wings with housemade pickles, along with the Brussels sprouts. I visited Kapow for happy hour on a Tuesday evening. During happy hour, they offer half-off wines, $4 Sapporo, $5 draft beers, and single liquor cocktails, such as a rum and coke or gin and tonic. I ordered a glass of rosé and the General Tso cauliflower, which were ok a bit too sweet and overly saucy for me. They were not bad but just not for me. If you enjoy fried veggies with drenched in a sweet chili sauce, then they are a must-try. However, while I wanted to try them, I wouldn't order them again, as I prefer there Brussels sprouts. Their flavors are more suited to my palate. I also ordered the Mongolian short rib tacos, which come in an order of three. They were a decent size flavorful served in a crispy shell topped of with a Fresno chilies. Whenever you're in West Palm Beach, check out Kapow--it's a cool spot!

But it's Florida - to be expected lol My friend and I ordered the happy hour $4 Sapporo and our other friend ordered the Spicy Lover cocktail... wow, that was SO delicious! We also ordered a large hot sake to share. Then, we ordered every single thing on the happy hour menu - that just seemed like the easiest thing to do! This included: Wok Charred Edamame, Brussels Sprouts (SOOO good), Ahi Tuna Poke Tacos (Another favorite!), Short Rib Tacos, Wagyu Beef Potstickers, Mushroom & Carrot Dumplings, Karaage Japanese Chicken Bun (I wasn't a fan of this - if you're a little picky with your chicken like me...), and the Crispy Oyster Mushroom Bao Bun (also very interesting lol). Everything came out pretty quick - and all in all, it was good and we had a nice time together. Our server was sweet (sorry, I did not get her name) and she helped my friend with drink recommendations. I enjoy this place every time we come! See you again soon!

DELISH! This place nailed it. Super cool vibe--tables covered in anime comics? Say less... I was already sold. I had the bento box with General Tsao cauliflower (yes, cauliflower) and it was shockingly good. Wagyu pot sticker? Fantastic. And the pineapple brûlée? Life-changing. I didn't know I loved brûlée until now, and honestly, I feel like a better person because of it. 10/10 would absolutely come back.
Made a reservation for a Saturday night and we were promptly seated as soon as we arrived. They had saved a booth seat for us which was very spacious for 2 people! The service was fine, nothing great. He took our order and brought us our check at the end. Food was good! We shared the fried chicken sandwich and the chicken pad Thai. The chicken sandwich was crispy, refreshing with the slaw, and slight salty from the breading. The fries were thin and crispy! The chicken pad Thai was very flavorful and a good balance between spicy, salty, and sweet. Overall a cool restaurant with good food

What an incredible experience! First of all, the environment was incredibly chic for being "anime themed ". There were lots of tables, some being booths, tables, or sofas, so it's accessible for people of various party sizes. Parking around the area was a little tough because it's in a little bit of a strip area, but we found parking with no problem. The food was was delicious. We tried the mushroom and pork bao buns, and I definitely thought the pork one was a little bit better. For dinner, my brother got the Ramen, which he said was pretty average, not the best he's ever had (he loves ramen). I got the duck and Ginger fried rice, and it was absolutely incredible....Would definitely eat it again. They had a bunch of vegetarian options on the menu as well, and prices were fairly reasonable for what you were getting. Finished with the donuts and they were warm and delicious!
Our party of 5 with a minor ordered a large cocktail bowl and if my memory serves me right it is called Lua Pele scorpion bowl. Possibly the pick of whatever we ordered. It was a heady blend of rum, sake, lime, avocado, pineapple and a few more add ons. Pretty strong with perfect blend of taste of various juices with alcohol. The quality neant for 2 to 4 is substantive. One of the best cocktails I have ever had. We tried various starters namely shrimp and pork belly buns. All were well cooked and flavorful. Excellent service and would love to try the cocktail again.i wish I could give 4.5 stars
The service was great. I came right after Sunday brunch and even though I was hoping for bottomless bloody Mary's, I opted for a single Bloody Mary. It did not disappoint. For food, we got the braised short rib tacos with a side of fries and the wild mushroom chow fun. The chow fun was the least exciting thing that we ordered but the sake was good.

Then the shrimp pad Thai. Not my favorite because it's so sweet. I only ate half. The bartender said that's how it's made, but I can ask for less sweet and more heat next time. Which I would do. OK, so the poke tacos were not that bad but they don't do fried rice very well. I ventured here with some heffa that I don't even talk to anymore. But that's another story. The service was OK, they need to get their reservation system, right. I made reservations, but the heifer got there first. She said she used my name after they called me to inquire if I was still showing up. I had been there 45 minutes. The ambience is nice. It's dark. It was a Saturday. They were very busy. It was super packed and loud on a Saturday night so you know the spot was good but the service was really slow even after it cleared up. We only got drinks this time and we picked the lychee martini, yamazaki swinger, and the Lua Pele Scorpion Bowl. The vodka and the sake in the lychee martini didn't go to well or it was just a bad mix that day. But I was not a fan of the drink. The yamazaki swinger was very watered down and we barely tasted the whiskey. The Lua Pele Scorpion bowl wasn't much of a show and while the drink did taste good, it was mostly filled with decorations. It's supposed to serve 2-4 people but after we took all the decorations out and poured the drink into a cup, it was barely a full cup. I'll definitely give it a try again as I'm not sure how the food was and maybe it was just an off day for the bartender. read more

Was in the area after my work out & decided to stop by for lunch. The crab rangoons were delicious!!! I find it very hard to find crab Rangoons that aren't made with imitation crab meat so when I bit into these and tasted fresh snow crab I was pleased. Was walking around this strip in west palm beach on a Friday night and stumbled into this spot. Let me just say.. this place is phenomenal!!! First off, the staff were super friendly, very cool ambiance, great music, and GREAT food. I started off with a plate of edamame, got the tacos with a side of fries and dumplings. Still reeling from how good the Thai donuts were. But please come up with an option on door dash to only have the white sauce. The raspberry is not for me or my family, it's way too tart! My family and I shared: Steamed rice - great and on top, there was a cilantro lime seasoning that knocked my socks off. French fries & ban mi - the ban mi is the only item I wouldn't personally recommend. The pork was super dry. The bread was pillowy soft, enjoyed that. We loved the spicy ketchup and French fries. The French fries and ketchup were so good. Brisket tacos - delicious. But with only 3 taco shells, I had to eat the rest with tortilla chips (LOL) The meat was great. And the pickled vegetables accompanying it were good. Please include 2 cups of vegetables, not only one. The veggies with the meat is supreme. Overall, my DoorDash order was great. Kapow always delivers a great meal. And the sauces that Come on the side add a special flare to every dish. read more

One of my fav restaurants in West Palm. I love coming here with a group of friends. All the dishes are delicious and everything comes out so fast. My favorite are the tuna bites on the crunchy rice. Perfect place for a late night meal! The wagyu potstickers were so good! The wagyu lo mein was great 2 but wasn't a huge fan of the wagyu but the noodles were great. Cucumber salad was delicious 2! Swoop in for a bite and you won't regret it. Come hungry! read more

It was my first time trying out Kapow and it didn't disappoint! I sat at the bar for happy hour and was immediately greeted by the friendly bar tender. It was a quiet afternoon so there wasn't much wait here. I saw this spot on TikTok and I wanted to try. Place is super cute; from the table decors to the lighting. I tried the What's New Pussycat drink. The drink was great. I'm glad I tried it over the common mai tai. Vietnamese chicken wings were also a hit. The food was hot and fresh. The wings were nicely coated but nothing that felt too overpowering. The lobster lo mein, another winner. Everything today was great. The crunchy lobster and the small pieces of lobster in the lo mein are just perfection. I don't think I'd want any regular lo mein from now on. Great choices. read more

A whole experience! The decor in this place creates such a unique ambiance, I'd say this is the reason for 4 stars instead of 3 because the food is pricey for the portion sizes. You might be better off just ordering a main plate (I wish I'd just gotten the ramen or something like that) The menu apparently changes but if you're here and they have the Mongolian beef tacos you have to try them, by far the best thing we ate here. Just keep in mind it's like $14 for 3 mini tacos (when I say mini I mean you could eat them in one bite) The bao buns weren't my favorite, I wish they added more sauce to the bun or the meats. We had both the chicken and the pork. The fried chicken one was good just a bit bland. And the pork one wasn't my favorite. The pork wasn't super soft (I wish they cooked it longer to really soften the fat) and it had a lot of fat. I don't mind the fat when it melts like butter but this one was chewy and not super flavorful. The beef dumplings were good, I wish they came with some dipping sauce tho. The portions are small on the shareable plates which I wasn't expecting considering their price. It was a nice night out and their service is excellent but in my humble personal opinion it was priced like a luxury restaurant, now I don't mind spending a pretty penny on good food, but they had no side sauces or dippings for anything we ordered, a lot of the plates lacked flavor (especially the bao buns) and the portions were ridiculously small for some things. Now on the bright side, all the tables have anime on them and the decorations were very cool. Our food came out fast and the server was very kind. Let me start off with what an amazing Happy Hour they have! Amazing value and a good selection of small plates to try. I also need to note what amazing service as the bartender was so nice. I ordered three items off the Happy Hour menu with my favorite being the Wagyu Beef Potstickers which had a great flavor and texture. I wasn't a big fan of either Bao Bun but that is just my personal preference as the mushroom had a tamarind flavor and the chicken meat was a bit fatty. I will definitely be back to try more Happy Hour options and I'm happy to say this place is as good as I've heard! read more

Kapow is always a fun, unique experience. From the anime inspired decor to the family style dining, spending an evening here is always a pleasure. I started off at the bar and ordered What's New Pussycat. This is a new drink with tequila and a few other goodies mixed in. I was surprised because it came in the cutest little cat cup, which had me thinking it was more for looks and less for taste. I was wrong ! It was delicious, fruity, stuffed with fresh mint. The cup held way more liquid than I expected, making it the only drink I needed for the evening. The food is always delicious. Here each dish is brought to the table as it is prepared, so everyone's food is extremely fresh when it's received. I ordered the steak lo mein and it was to die for. I loved Kapow. That's what the flavors of everything did in my mouth Those skirt steak tacos and the oysters were to die for! Some of the best I've had in both categories. I really enjoyed the duck fried rice too. Any time I see duck on a menu, it's an automatic given, I'm ordering it. My only wish was that it didn't have as much sauce so it gave more of a typical fried rice texture. I also have amazing things to say about our waiter. Before he even asked what we wanted to order, he asked about allergens to assure he wasn't allowing us to order things that we shouldn't. And I asked him if the restaurant itself had bean sprouts (I feel like most people don't even know what they are - my boyfriend didn't) and he proceeded to tell me everything that had bean sprouts in it. I appreciated his service even more because he overheard my boyfriends conversation with another guest and offered him the discount for being a police officer. Dark, asian-y vibe going on, but pretty cool decorations. -- Haku Vodka with Vanilla Hibiscus + Orange (3/5) - Barely any vodka in it, the mixture was alright. Im guessing they add sparkling water afterward because it was like a soda. -- Ahi Tuna Poke Tacos (5/5) - Pretty good, I was expecting it to be more fishy but surprisingly fresh. The avocado purée went very well with it and I enjoyed every bite. -- Skirt Steak Lo Mein (3/5) - Highly recommended apparently, but steak was super chewy, had a Smokey flavor that's about it. We made a reservation days in advance and had to wait for 30 minutes to get seated. Afterward, they made a table out of three smaller tables because, I suppose, they didn't have larger ones. Everyone's food took a long time to prepare. I ordered the Korean Beef Ramen, which cost $26. The portion size was laughable. There were only two cuts of beef, and there were more mushrooms than anything else. I even had to order wings, which were overpriced. Overall, I experienced high-priced, micro-portioned food. My other friend waited an hour for a dish that they had forgotten to make. So much for a birthday dinner. The area itself was nice and lively, with a lot of people talking and enjoying themselves. However, our experience was marred by the presence of a roach that scurried around the store. It's unacceptable that a restaurant would allow such a disgusting sight. read more

A very cool restaurant in a bohemian part of Palm Beach pretty close to the square. It was a chance discovery as we explored the neighborhood around the square. To me the square seemed very touristy so ventured out a bit more to see what else was around there. The place is huge, and even though there were several empty tables, folks were being asked to wait for10 minutes before escorted to the table. We got a seating near the kitchen so could see a lot of action going on, waiters, chefs, cooks all bustling to prepare the meal and some good aroma to go with it. The food selection is pretty varied but I would say mostly Asian, however they were calling it street food. The service was prompt and we went with the Short Rib Basil with rice, short rib tacos and the mushroom with noodles. Food arrived in all kind of order so whatever was ready showed up at the table, which I preferred. The short rib with basil was very powerful and the meat was extremely delicate, just peeled off the fork. My only issue was it wasn't spicy so asked for some additional kick which the manager immediately brought over. The mushrooms were awesome, good wok flavors with truffle oil. The tacos were delicious, but they disappeared very quickly. Overall great experience and the vibe is very cool. read more

Had veggie fried rice, general Tso's cauliflower and mushroom delivered. Everything was great. Veggie fried rice was a huge portion. I ate on it for say. The cauliflower was delicious, and I don't like cauliflower. It was also a large portion. The mushroom bao was really yummy, too, but was small and expensive for what it was. I wish there was more of it because I really enjoyed it. Everything was lovely. Don't sleep on this. read more
