My husband and I both ordered the fish and chips, and they were very good. The atmosphere is definitely casual rather than fancy, so come as you are and relax. It was extremely windy the day we visited, so the large garage-style doors were closed. I imagine having those open on a beautiful Door County day would completely change the feel of the restaurant. Overall, we had a perfectly nice experience. The food was good and the restaurant had a friendly, local feel. With so many restaurants to explore in Door County, I'm not sure it would be at the top of my list for a return visit, but I'm glad we gave it a try.

Was it the best smoked fish in Door County, like I'd read about? Maybe, I don't know for sure since this is the only place in the county I've gotten smoked fish, but it very well could be true!

I decided to try the whitefish sandwich. It was excellent. A nice filet on a decent roll with the right amount of sauce and crunchy veggies. I'd definitely eat it again. Generic but decent fries along side of the sandwich made for a nice meal after our first day on the road. Bailey's Harbor was also a perfect home base for excursions to Cana Island Lighthouse and Washington Island, with the additional benefit of being less touristy than other areas we visited.
