I absolutely adore Waterfront. It's so classy and has such a lovely view of the bay and a harbor lined with boats. The food is amazing, we indulged in a few shared appetizers and took advantage of the daily specials on our latest trip. I recommend ordering the bread! It's an additional charge, I think $6, but wow it is WORTH IT. Warm, soft and an amazing truffle butter I wish I could reasonably eat with a spoon. The seafood here is excellent so definitely take a look at that! Get reservations for sure but this is such a great date night in Door County!

This is quickly become a new tradition for my family when we are in door county. Sitting at the edge of Sister Bay Main Street, this picturesque waterfront restaurant has great staff, great food, and fantastic drinks. Each time, I've gotten the garden party cocktail and am pleasantly surprised with the refreshing zip of the herbs. Our favorite is also the oyster shot - when we come here we have to have that! they offer the freshest oysters they have from East Coast, with a shot of I think tomato juice, vodka, and horseradish? Don't ask, just get! Lol. The food is outstanding our party got the fillet, the chicken, as well as the Bolognese, and the fresh cut pasta. Everything tastes super fresh and curated, I don't think you can go wrong with much on the menu. Overall, a fantastic spot.

Our friends treated us to dinner at Waterfront. Beautiful sunset foods, great service and delicious dinners. I can't say enough about the wedge salad or the Alaskan Halibut. 10/19 for sure. Highly recommend for a special trea

For elegant, fine dining with spectacular sunset views, Waterfront is the perfect choice. The dining area is beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of space between tables and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay and the wonderful sunsets. The staff was friendly and attentive. But the food is the real star here. Daily specials should be considered, like the halibut cakes that we had. So delicious! The cocktails were great and be sure to order the bread and butter. You won't be disappointed. The shrimp and grits were out of this world. As were our entrees and desserts. Be sure to make reservations in advance!

Been going to this restaurant since it opened. Great food, terrific service and wine list. Continues to be one of the very best restaurants in Door County. Creative menu. Terrific views and sunsets! Great outdoor space to carry out and enjoy a cocktail.

The view here is absolutely stunning! The food is good and the service was very nice. The crowd here is a bit on the older side, which isn't bad but notable. I'm not a fish eater but had the pappardelle as that was noted to be a special... the sauce was lacking and the pasta was overcooked.

Probably the best dinner my wife and I have ever had in Door County. Beautiful dinning room with lots of windows overlooking the marina and bay. With some very nice outdoor seating. (Make your reservation time just prior to sunset. So you can take in the beautiful views.) Highly recommend our server Benjamin.

Food was good, bartender (ahead of being seated) was great, atmosphere was good. Service was SLOW and inattentive. There were multiple times where we waited 10-20 minutes with no food or drink in front of us. No one ever followed up for additional drink orders outside of the first. After about 1 hour & 10 minutes, I flagged down a bus boy and asked them to find out why we still hadn't gotten the main course. They said we were behind a big table and it should be about 5 minutes. 5 minutes later I flagged down my waiter and asked what was up. I was told that it was my fault for asking for our focaccia, appetizer, and main course to be spaced out. (the only options that were given were to have all items at once or spaced out) At this point I asked for a manager. The manager (owner) came out hot, acting like the soup guy from Seinfeld. He had the waiter repeat what she told to me earlier and when I tried to interject, told me to stop and listen to her. I reiterated that at this point we'd been there for over an hour after being seated (late) (also at this point it was almost and hour and a half since being seated) and that it was unacceptable to still not have been served the main course, whatever their excuse was. There were at least 3 servers, and not over 20 tables in the entire place. Instead of offering anything at all to make up for it, acknowledging any of the issues, or least of all apologizing, the owner told the waiter to "get us out of here". The waiter wound up bringing the entree in a bag and the check (including the entree) to us. I had to demand I wasn't, at all, paying for the entree in order to get it removed from the bill. (I left it on the table) The bottom line is that, the entree could've been the tastiest dish in the world, but this place doesn't deserve your patronage.

Her warmth and friendliness was matched by the staff who made our dining experience so comfortable. We were promptly seated and received outstanding service. Portions were large and meals come with bread and a house antipasto salad. Our meals were exceptional. My wife had Chicken Saltimbocca and I tried Linguine with Salmon. Chicken was flavorful; salmon was perfect; the pasta was 4 star. The food was so good that we even ventured into a dessert (rare for us). We tried a lemon cake with glaze and VERY fresh strawberries; it was wonderful. A small restaurant that is a gem and well worth it. An outstanding dining experience. (Rest of the party was long done by the time we got meals). Asked for the manager but our server (Liz?) said she was the manager and tried to fix it by cooking the steaks more - kinda was uncool to sit while everyone else ate while 2 of our party were waiting. Food : steaks (see above), pesto pasta was good. Heirloom tomato salad was very good but star was tomatoes themselves and presentation was odd with dollop of dressing on each tomato - needed some acidity in the dressing. Chicken saltimbocca was OK but very sweet. Nearby places were closed so we ordered dessert. Tiramisu wasn't very good and peach cake was dry but probably also tainted by the experience. They comped the dessert after we ordered. Bill was over $300 for a crappy experience. Wouldn't recommend. We were here 15 years ago and it was really good and we were looking forward to returning - we live 1600 miles away so it kinda was a big deal to return here over La Becasse. Oh well.

If there is a line of a dozen or more standing in line, plan on returning at 5:30 pm, or perhaps every half hour as the first in line get welcomed and seated first. Don't be upset if you press for seating even if the restaurant is half empty. We're puzzled as to why the restaurant doesn't take reservations, as there is a staff shortage in kitchen and wait staff. There is a permanent help wanted sign in its window. Perhaps taking reservations and guaranteeing showing up by taking a credit card first might help with greeting and accommodating the limited number of tables this restaurant can handle courteously and politely. If you do miss the first seating, don't be offended if the host/ hostess doesn't suggest waiting at the bar and enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine while you wait for your later seating. Be proactive and ask for permission to sit at the bar. Don't be offended if the bartender is curt and impatient. It's difficult to keep a good efficient staff. We're not sure if the food is good. As we were treated rudely upon entering, and they'd reached their initial seating capacity, our questions were answered impatiently and coldly. We did leave our name to return after 35 minutes. We left the restaurant and stood outside to reassess the situation. We decided it wasn't worth the attitude. So we crossed the street and had a welcoming and delicious dinner with drinks and desserts at Crate which we highly recommend. If you are familiar with the Seinfeld TV series, visiting Trattoria Dal Santo is very much like encountering the Soup Nazi. Proceed at your own risk
