In Frederick I bounced around from one barber to another, never really quite happy with any of them. My luck changed with Heidi in the Walkersville Barber and Styling Shop. Because of COVID-19 I hadn't had a haircut in 8 months. I'd also stopped shaving for 6 just to see what it would be like. Heidi trimmed my hair and shaved my beard and had me looking pretty close to the way I did when I was on Active Duty with the Coast Guard. A bonus was her pleasant personality and good humor. I now go back every two weeks for a haircut---because I need it---and for a shave---because it feels good.

The owner, Lisa Romano, is great about listening to exactly what you want, but is also good at offering suggestions on what would work best for your hair. I've never had a problem getting an appointment, and am able to get in and out quickly, but never feel rushed. Her prices are more than reasonable, and while I don't qualify, I think it's great that she offers a discount for military and law enforcement, something that I don't think a lot of barbers offer.
