My typical breakfast plates would consist of Country Fried Steak/ Corned Beef Hash/ or Steak & Eggs. This time- when I heard Irma mention Beef Barley soup, I thought a cup would suffice. Along with that- sides of crispy bacon (I think 5 strips came in that order) & an English muffin. Which was toasted to perfection. Once I took my first spoonful of the Beef Barley soup- I knew I was gonna order an entire bowl. The strips of beef had some of the tasty gristle that truly makes the broth. Simple hearty soup. No shortage of barley and beef. I haven't had this soup in so long, it brought me back to childhood. I couldn't stop raving about it, (I'm a gal of simple pleasures) to other patrons. Hubby's breakfast combo came with a huge portion of hash browns. I told him to pack it up in a To Go container w/ the remaining bacon.
