I had asked when I was considering buying it, whether I could wear it every day and sleep in it. I was given a confident 'yes'. But then when the bracelet broke and I brought it in to be fixed, suddenly it was 'not an every day bracelet'. The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is the earrings and the fact that they (tried to, as it broke multiple more times) fixed my bracelet free of charge. I will not be purchasing any other jewelry here, and I am not selling my bracelet back to Homsy. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Knocked the row 70% or so back into place and then proceeded to shave off so much gold that the edges on my finger are not longer sharp and defined. The band is considerably thinner. Gold being around $3500 an ounce can create this level of dishonesty. He didn't ask if I wanted it polished. Just proceeded to shave off gold. Don't go here.

I brought it here to get resized and an updated appraisal. Once there, Ali talked me through ways to improve how the center diamond was set in the ring. We worked together and came up with a personalized frame and chose to add some side baguette diamonds to make the appearance of the center stone look bigger than it is. After a lot of back and forth, we came up with the perfect vision for the ring. Ali, Hagop and their whole team worked so hard in bringing my vision to life. My fiancé proposed without a long-term ring, since I wasn't sure exactly what style I wanted. We gathered a few pictures for inspiration and met with Spencer at Skylight Jewelers to create a custom design. We iterated a bit with him on the CAD model before finalizing everything and having it cast. We had Spencer purchase a lab diamond for the gemstone, and he helped us through the process on deciding between natural vs lab and the criteria for stone quality (which neither I nor my fiancé were familiar with). Everything turned out better than we could have hoped! My fiancé and I still think the ring is so pretty and is exactly what I wanted. Spencer and Eugene also worked with us on a couple follow up visits to resize the engagement ring so that it fit just right. As our wedding date got closer, we went back for wedding bands and the process was just as easy. We chose very plain band styles that Spencer cast in the correct size for both of us. I felt like I got a great deal. The one star is for the absolutely horrendous customer service from the owner, Donna DePrisco. After purchasing the ring and taking all of the paperwork with me, DePrisco's then mailed a second copy of my receipt to my home in an envelope labeled with their name and logo. My fiancé just so happened to retrieve the mail that day, and instantly knew what was up, spoiling the surprise and the biggest moment of my life. When I called the store to ask why on earth they would mail something to my home, knowing I lived with my fiancé, I was told "you forgot your receipt," which was not the case. Even if it were, they had my cell phone & email AND knew I was coming back a week later to pick it up. I spoke to Donna on the phone, who was very apologetic at the time and promised me she would take a good amount of money off the sale price and give me an additional gift to make up for the mistake. When I returned to pick up the ring, Donna conveniently had to "take a phone call" and avoided me the entire time. I was given no discount and no gift to make up for the mishap, despite being promised both by Donna. When I brought this up to other employees, they said there was nothing they could do unless Donna approved it herself. But she never got off the phone. I was in the store for close to an hour and she was in a back room taking a fake phone call the entire time. I returned a few weeks later with my fiancé to get the ring re-sized. The second I walked in I made eye contact with Donna, who once again took out her phone and pretended to be on a call the entire time we were there. We again brought up the mishap and asked for a gift or some kind of compensation in return. The employee said the best she could do was offer a pair of fake pearl earrings (valued at $40) to make up for everything. We reluctantly accepted, despite the fact that my fiancé does not wear pearls and did not want the earrings. We are still very happy with the ring itself, but will never ever be returning to DePriscos for anything simply because of Donna. Im still upset that they ruined the biggest moment of my life and did not do anything to make up for it, despite promising me they would. Be careful with this place -- Donna is a snake and will do anything for a dollar.

I must start of by saying I am a bit of a nut and change my mind all the time......as I am sure Kev, the owner, will agree with!!!!!! I first worked with his wife, and would always joke around about ring shopping at her husband's jewelery store.....funny since I had been with my now fiancee for a couple of months. When the time came to start looking we looked around, poked in other shops, but nothing really caught my eye. I felt like everyone already had similar rings to the ones I liked. Talin, (kev's wife) is easily one of the nicest and sincere ladies I know. I felt comfortable the minute I walked in as I still had no idea what I wanted. I did know I wanted a cushion cut diamond so we went from there. He made me one of the most beautiful rings, and I received soooooo many compliments on it. When wedding planning, my photographer asked to show my ring to his wife as he thought it was so beautiful. Her exact response was......"I would be marrying him too, that ring is gorgeous"!!!! Then as we all know I change my mind and fell in love with the idea of having two bands instead of one. So her we are again a year later and guess what.... we went back. This time we were on a time crunch as we were having our engagement pictures.....in less than two weeks that is. He promised me he would have my ring back in time. I did not believe him as I know he is busy. In the meantime I bought a fake look alike in case mine was not done in time for my pictures. I don't know why I didn't believe him, and as he never fails to amaze me, my entire ring including bands was done on time actually a day early!!!!!!!! He's amazing and I have the perfect, beautiful, sparkly engagement ring. He matched everything so perfectly and it is absolutely stunning!!! I get so many compliments on my ring!!!!! The only thing I am mad about is having to wait until June to wear my bands with my engagement ring.....its torture because the whole ring s so beautiful and breathtaking. I will never go anywhere else again!!!!! My father passed away when was 9 and my mother have me her diamond which Kev made into a necklace for me. Once again it's perfect. He just has that vision to make such beautiful, handcrafted, original jewelery. He makes every step of the process so fun and relaxing. You never feel pressured or anxious. I went to Kev at Karli Jewelers to get help with an engagement ring. I actually already had a ring, it was a family heirloom that had been in my fiancee's family for 80 years, and I knew it would hold special sentimental value if I used it when proposing. However, 80 years had taken it's toll. The ring was pretty worn down, was missing the main diamond and few of the smaller ones, and some of the work that was done in the past hadn't held up well. I was a little nervous it wasn't going to be able to get fixed up. I had never done any sort of high end jewelry shopping before, and Kev instantly made me feel at home in his store. Even though I wasn't buying the ring brand new from his store, he treated my entire transaction with the utmost care and consideration, and was truly thrilled by the backstory of the ring. He suggested that platinum metal in the ring could be melted down, mixed with new platinum, and rebuilt to maintain the same look and feel of the original. I loved the idea, and mixing the original platinum back in seemed so cool to help preserve some of the magic of the ring! He then set out helping me to choose a diamond for the center, and I've never felt more comfortable picking out such an important item. I knew very little about diamonds, and he took his time explaining the 4C's, what they mean, how it will affect the ring over time, what would look best given the size of the ring, etc. Most importantly, Kev never pressured one way or the other, but merely offered his expert opinions on a variety of types and prices ranges and allowed me to select from there. He made the entire experience incredibly fun, and I look forward to going back to select our wedding bands in the future! And the final product... I'll let the pictures do the talking. Following a referral from my trusted local jeweler, I found myself at Karli Jewelers located in downtown Boston in the Jewelers building. I was in the market for 3 diamond eternity bands. My Fiance, myself and our two children were warmly welcomed into Karli's by Kev and his assistant. We communicated what we were looking for, what our budget was and any questions that popped up. Within 15 minutes of Q & A with Kev, we felt much more informed and at ease about such a big purchase. I was quit, indecisive with all the options, carats, color, cut, shape, settings, metals....it was a lot to ponder. I changed my mind a few times, Kev and his staff were very patient with the lot of us, even gave our children some Hershey kisses while they waited. We we invited into Kev's shop to see where all the magic happens. (My husband is a builder, so he was thrilled to see how it all worked!) I ended up purchasing three stunning custom designed diamond eternity bands by Kev. My Fiance had his watched repaired at no cost which was incredibly generous of Karli's. We were so happy with their knowledge, kindness, honesty & patience we decided to also purchase his band there as well. Kev re-sized and polished it in a matter of minutes, all while we watched! He is a true craftsman, his hands speak for themselves. As we were leaving Kev & his assistant invited us to stop in anytime we are downtown to say "Hello" and have our rings cleaned and inspected at no cost. It was a personal and very "hands on" experience, I don't have to worry about my rings being "sent out" for maintenance , which I like! My Fiancé went looking at engagement rings in Oct of 2012. Well we went to at least four or five places and no body had the customer service, prices, and design I wanted like Karli Jewelers did! Kevin and his beautiful wife make a great team. I found the ring I wanted which was a one of a kind design by Kev. Beautiful filigree antique design within my fiances price range. He went way down on the price and I truly believe the prices there are very very good compared to the other places I went. My fiancé went back with his mom, my mom, and my sister to buy the ring and they all got their rings cleaned for free. My sister, who is an artist and makes jewelry was pleased to get a tour of Kev's workshop. They all commented how genuine Kev and his wife were and I feel the same way after going in this weekend with my Fiancé to pick out our wedding bands. We went in there with a budget of $500 for my ring and $500 for my Fiances ring and after trying on two rings I found the perfect ring! Kev could have easily charged us the full $1000 we were willing to spend but we walked away with a quote of much less than that AND easily found what we wanted! They suggested we come back in a month, since I am losing weight and might be a different ring size, and are holding the rings without even asking for a deposit! Just goes to show how nice these people are and that they would do almost anything to make their customers happy. They encouraged me to stop by as much as I wanted to get all my rings cleaned. Simply the best! Karli Jewelers is the only choice for quality jewelery and quality service. From the moment you meet Kev (the owner), you will become a life-long customer, as me! My experiences at Karli's begun in 2009 when I purchased the most unique engagement ring for my wife. I visited all the other jewelers in the Diamond Exchange Building, and simply there is no comparison to any other jeweler in this building or anywhere else. Sadly, people sometimes pay alot of $ for the name on the box on not the quality inside the box. Don't feel the pressure from most other stores and don't short cut on quality. Trust me, Karli's is the BEST store, PERIOD! The onwer's name is Kev. The shop is family owned and opeated! Kev's calmness, expertise and willingness to make the experience pleasurable is exceptional! Kev's designs and overall quality sets him apart from all the rest. It is not even fair to compare his passion for design, quality and fairness to anyone else. You can't find anyone that shares his passion and fairness. Words can not express how impressed i am with my experience at Karli's Jewelers in buying an engagement ring. I had been to the jewelers building a few before but was in search for a smaller, more personal jeweler. In my confusion and being overwhelmed with hundreds of jewelers i managed to stumble in to Karli' s for the first time. I was drawn in to their store as i walked by there great showcases and relaxed atmosphere. Kev, the owner was so helpful and took lots of time explaining my options. His entire staff was so nice and it was like i had been in there before and we were friends!! After picking out the setting and a beautiful diamond we made a deal. Karli's prices are the best and the quality is even better. He told me 30 mins and the ring would be custom made and sized and it was. I quess it is true, big things come in small packages. Don't be fooled by the large jewelers, Karli is small in size but large in everything else. You will be treated like your happiness is all that matters. He also is one of the few that still hand makes every piece. Kev is a true old school jeweler making magic with his hands. Being a mechanic and small business owner I appreciate a jeweler that owns, runs, designs, builds and customizes his own jewelry for his clients and other jewelers in the building. My fiance and I were very lucky to stumble upon Karli Jewlers and Kev while looking for engagement rings. At that point, we had already visited several stores and were feeling both somewhat overwhelmed and unsatisfied. Prior to visiting Karli Jewlers, nothing had really "clicked". However, it was quickly apparent that Kev both was a fantastic craftsman and a pleasure to work with. His showcase works are beautiful and as stand alone pieces speak to his talent in his craft. However, what truly made our experience was the time he spent with us as we discussed what we were looking for in a ring and the experienced advice he provided. We went in with a jumble of thoughts and preferences for our engagement ring that he helped us synthesize into a physical thing. My fiance and I just picked up my new ring from Karli Jewelers this weekend and I just have to take a moment to praise this business. Kev at Karli was recommended to us by a former coworker when we decided to design a new setting for my engagement ring. We live in North Carolina so all design discussions occurred over phone and email with me sending pictures of designs I liked and descriptions to Kev, and Kev calling with questions, options, and expert advice. During the design process Kev was also able to find us a great deal on a new, better center stone. We arrived in MA to pick up the ring a few days ago and couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with my rings! My wedding rings needed an upgrade after 25 years as we didn't have much money when we got married. We went to Karli Jewelers and met with Kev and Talin. They helped me pick out the most gorgeous ceylon sapphire and diamond ring-it's so me!!! For my 50th b-day Kev helped my husband pick out a ceylon sapphire and diamond band to match...it's just perfect! Then just recently for our 25th anniversary my sons bought me a plain band with the help of Kev and my husband then added a few diamonds to it! It's amazing...I get so many compliments! I had been looking for a diamond cross necklace for many years and I couldn't be happier with the results of my purchase. Kev designed a simple and modern, yet elegant cross for me and I wear it every day. I receive at least 5 compliments a day on it whether I'm at work or running errands - it stands out and everyone notices its sparkle. I was so happy with the first cross that I asked Kev to make me another cross in gold but this time a different design with the cross sideways and of course it turned out even better than i could have imagined. Karli Jewelers is outstanding. I stumbled into their store 3 years ago after getting turned around going to a number of other jewelers in the building. The experience at Karli is night and day compared to other shops. Kevork and his family treat you exceptionally well and help you through every step of finding or designing what you are after (I have done both). Not only is the service great, but they create what they sell right there. Everything is given careful attention to detail and quality. And they are always accommodating to make sure your jewelry comes out right. Even if you decide you want to alter something. That's the benefit of making things in-house. Karli Jewelers is AMAZING! I have purchased several pieces from there including both mine and my husband's wedding bands, and some gemstone pieces as well. My engagement ring came from Barmakian (despite me telling my husband to go to Karli) and it is set incorrectly with a gap between two of the channel set diamonds. The band (which is white gold) constantly turns yellow because the finish wears off. Kev at Karli Jewelers has been kind enough to dip the band for me in white gold so that it matches the beautiful quality of my wedding band. I had such great experiences at Karli Jewelers (now twice). Got my engagement ring, wedding bands, and a pair of sapphire diamond earings as a wedding gift for my wife. Kev, the owner, was great to work with in creating a custom engagement ring and gave me some great advice and design ideas along the way. When I was looking for earings, it was an easy choice to go back to Karli jewelers, again, working with Kev to come up with the exact piece of jewelery I was looking for made in-house was a great experience. Kevork is THE BEST Jeweler in the Boston area. If possible I would give my experience 6 stars!!! He was able to make a custom ring and hand engrave every little detail by hand. I was on the hunt for a ring for about 1.5 years and I was not happy with anything I saw until I met him. I showed him pictures of what I wanted and it was PERFECT! He is incredibly smart and knowledgeable, and even more talented. After working with him, I learned he's been a Master Jeweler and working with about 35 years of experience. Don't waste time shopping around just go see Kev he is the man!! Kev will guarantee the best product at the best price and he will deliver EVERY TIME. He made two weddings bands for me (because I am an idiot and lost my first one) and I could not be happier. What I wanted was specific and hard to find so I showed Kev a picture and he made it from scratch. The band is flawless and it is rare that i don't get complimented on it. I found out about Karli Jewelers through a coworker, and the recommendation couldn't have been better deserved. Kev and his associates have the attitude of true craftsmen. They take pride in their work and in the joy it brings their clients. I was looking for an engagement ring and I didn't have much direction going into Karli, but Kev helped guide me through the process. His input was invaluable and he didn't try to upsell me on any options. It turned out that my fiancee was a smaller finger size than she thought she was. The bracelet arrived and it is small, sad, and cheap-looking. It looks like a child's bracelet you might buy in a dime store. And it certainly looks terrible on a grown woman's wrist. It is incredibly lightweight - probably has about $3 worth of silver in it. I feel cheated and disappointed. I paid $200 - that was the sale price, the original price was $400 - can you believe it? I was dumb enough to buy this bracelet online without seeing it in person - OK, my mistake. I trusted Sophie, having bought an expensive gold bangle from her in the past. I thought the bracelet would be as pretty as the photo. Alas, Sophie refuses to stand behind her merchandise and will not let me exchange the bracelet for something else, something that might look good on a middle aged woman's wrist. I didn't ask for a refund - I asked for an exchange. So I'm out $200 - plus $20 postage - for a pathetic piece of jewelry I can't wear. Don't make the same mistake I did! I also didn't want to buy a more unique ring from an established boutique jeweler elsewhere in the country that seemed overpriced and impersonal, limiting my design interaction to phone conversations with an assistant and minimal customization at best. Sophie was recommended to me by several other local small-scale, creative jewelers who didn't have experience with precious stones for wedding rings. From the outset she was open to discussing and sketching various nontraditional design possibilities with me, rather than limiting the conversation to her previously established designs. She then proceeded methodically with providing images for conversation, producing a mockup, providing samples of a wide range of options for all components, and discussing the nuances of each decision that was made along the way. The final price tag for the ring was incredibly affordable given the level of craft and attention to detail that Sophie provided. My fiancée is ecstatic about the character and quality of the ring, and we are eagerly planning to return to Sophie to make both of our wedding bands. The issues began when he picked up the ring. Serge had dropped a family stone on the ground during the initial consultation, couldn't find it, and promised to have it at the time the ring was complete. When my fiancé picked up the ring, Serge handed him a different colored stone and only when confronted about it, did he inform my fiancé he was unable to find the one he dropped. Thus, he attempted to cover it up with a different stone and say nothing. Strike 1. Additionally, he promised a lighted ring box though had none in stock when the ring was complete. Told my fiancé to get one off Amazon instead. Quite annoying. Strike 2. After the proposal, I wanted to change the setting of my ring, so we went back to Serge who promised he could provide what we wanted. I showed him photos of what I wanted, picked a setting he had on display with plans to add additional diamonds to each side. He stated he had made the ring before and it would be no problem; gave us a timeline of 2 weeks for this. We called the day before to ensure it would be ready on Wednesday, and he said the ring wasn't ready, he needed extra time, but it would be ready on Monday. Strike 3. When we went to pick it up, it was wrong. He never added the diamonds onto either side, and was shocked when I asked where they were. He told me to give him an hour and he would have this completed. However, the diamonds he was going to use and the technique he offered was completely different than what I had asked for. He told me I never asked for that, he would've made the ring completely differently, etc.- it wasn't until I showed him the photo of what I asked for that he remembered what he was supposed to do. Then told us he would have to remake the entire ring and would've done it "differently" if he had known what I wanted. However, he DID know, and confirmed that once we showed him the picture. Strike 4! We took the ring home to decide what we wanted to do. When my fiancé called Serge to tell him about how displeased we were with the previous issues, he told us "you get 3 strikes, I'll change the ring once more then you have to pay". A hideous response to customers asking for assistance, especially due to mistakes made by the jeweler (who is on actually strike 4 if we're counting). We decided to have the stone placed back into the original setting (which cost more than the new setting), and asked him to appraise it for us. When we picked up the ring, the appraisal wasn't complete. Unfortunately, there were other customers in the store at that time and Serge gave no reasoning for why it wasn't completed, said he would mail it out to us. My fiancé was furious but Serge was unwilling to have a conversation about it as he gestured towards the customers in his store. Strike 5! I called myself to inquire about why the appraisal wasn't done. He claimed to have no prior knowledge that he was supposed to do that, despite my fiancé speaking directly with him earlier that day. Also kept calling my fiancé by the wrong name, which was a nice touch. We went back the next day to pick up the appraisal and he told us he would make the ring we want, that he "could make things that would blow your mind". Unfortunately we were instead mind blown by the lack of organization, attention to detail, and lackluster customer service. Definitely do not recommend using this jeweler if you value honesty. He also told us "I promise I'm a good guy" , but unfortunately lacked the ability to prove this. Buyer beware.

He was genuinely interested in crafting the ring I wanted as opposed to trying to sell me on something from a large stock. We designed the ring together; Anthony listened to the ideas I had to give this special ring a personal touch and brought them to life. He does all of the work himself which is all the more impressive, and it helps save on costs. Since that first time where I got the engagement ring, I've returned to Boston Platinum four more times for big life events that require a one of a kind gift--most recently, my 10 year anniversary. Each time I go to Boston Platinum, Anthony greets me like a friend and then takes the time to sit down and discuss what I am looking for.
