Just got out of the CEO package with Helen. She had strong hands and was definitely a deep tissue. I feel though as she felt rushed at some points because it was quicker during some minutes of the 90-minutes. It was good, but I must say I am a little biased since I have had a couple of messages from Spa Gregory's in Newport Beach. It was clean and the front desk personal were good. The front atmosphere was clean and well maintained. The room though wasn't as clean or relaxing as I wished it to be. There were noises throughout the entire message which was kind of annoying when you are trying to relax. I think that flip flops should not be worn by masseuses just because you hear the flip flop the entire time. The sauna was not hot when I got in there so I sat in there and waited for 5 minutes until it warmed up and then by that time it was time to leave. While I was in the sauna there were plates banging together and people talking very loudly which again killed the Zen of the place. It was not terrible at all, I will try it again and see what other masseuses are like, until I find the right place/masseuses. read more

Great experience! I made my appointment the night before and had no problem getting in last minute. Very reasonable priced! My hot oil massage was perfect! I was asked about the pressure a few times to make sure I was comfortable and I always was. The inside of the spa has a very cute Decor and a relaxing environment. Today was my first day getting a massage ever, it was a prenatal massage. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and after moving all week I was so sore and everything hurt. Linda did a fantastic job making sure I was comfortable, and well covered the whole time. The 90 minute prenatal massage was amazing, there were times I literally could've fell asleep. She somehow new to get all the spots that hurt the most. I will definitely be back, if possible, once a week until the baby is born! It was just what I needed to help out my tired body. Everything was great. I was able to reserve this online, on a Sunday morning, for 10 am the same day. I must have been lucky because the place was packed. Everyone was pleasant, there was no hard sell or upsell of any kind They had you draw on an erasable form, what places you wanted to focus on (or avoid) and the pressure you liked. What a great idea! They took me to my room promptly (I was getting a 60-minute private massage). The therapist checked regularly to see if the pressure was right (turns out I like it harder than I thought). When I asked her to do more in particular area, she did. She used hot towels to wipe off the oil after each area. She wasn't fluent in English, but we could communicate. The place was clean and had a soothing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was zero pressure for a tip (okay, a few reminder signs, but not obtrusive); the therapist didn't even follow you to the front (as they do in some places). The prices are reasonable. This is my go-to massage place now. read more

First impression was incredible. Clean salon and friendly staff when I arrived. Unfortunately this was by far the worst massage I've ever received. I was so uncomfortable and in pain the entire 90 minutes of my massage. They don't hardly use any massage lotion or oils so the deep tissue massage was like she was pinching me. My skin actually still hurts and it's been 36 +hours since I left the salon. I hate when massage therapist cut your time short but this time I was hoping they would. I spoke up several times but she didn't understand or just chose to ignore me. I wouldn't recommend this type of painful experience to my worst enemy. Sorry, but this place gets zero stars from mefor now. Unfortunately I couldn't leave this review til I gave it at least one star. Also, they chose their own tip and automatically charged my credit card for the tip??? I've never heard of a place choosing the tip. Front desk staff isn't always professional, and they weren't prepared to make change when I wanted to pay with cash. The massage (therapists?), well the massage technicians were polite and kind, ensuring my comfort and privacy during my massage. We got the couples massage and foot detox - but had to switch rooms between treatments (that messed with my relaxation). There isn't a "locker room"... you simply undress in the treatment room and put your belongings in a box by the door. Prices are very reasonable, but you get what you pay for I suppose. One more thing, there was some kind of construction going on beyond the wall of the treatment room - um NO. Not good. Drills, pounding, etc... and they didn't offer to take us to a quitter room or even apologize. Also, I was hoping for some kind of aromatherapy or nice scents in the treatment room, but there wasn't. So, yes, good prices, but don't expect anything perfectly amazing. The facility was clean! That's one other good thing. read more

This place is amazing! I booked an appointment super last minute as a friend and I had been planning to go to Glen Ivy instead. Luckily they had two appointments and we both booked the Duchess Package. When we went in the front desk staff were friendly, we had forgotten that they do cash only, however the receptionist said we could purchase it online and then show her the code after our treatments. We did just that with no hassle for the Duchess Package it was 90 thanks to a holiday special. Paty was my esthetician and she said I had a choice between a lavender or citrus scent/body butter, I chose citrus and it was so nice! The rooms was nice, clean and quiet, i could vaguely hear my friend in the next room, but nothing too bad. I was scrubbed, covered in body butter and wrapped like a burrito and it was amazing!!! I also loved that I had a mini facial while I was in burrito form. I felt completely relaxed and was so sad to come out of burrito form at the end of my facial :( Will definitely be booking another appointment soon! read more

Incredible experience. This place makes the other spas in the area seem like dirty hole-in-the-walls. First off, the massage is amazing. I could tell the therapist had many years of experience and training. She was very polite and would periodically check in to see if i was enjoying the massage or of it was too hard/too soft and if I would like her to work on or avoid specific areas. She was able to work the knots in my shoulders and in my lower back and tailbone (my daily job is very sedentary and to have the pressure right where i need it felt amazing!) They also have back-walk bars mounted on the ceiling, so if your back is feeling particularly pretzel-ish, this is definitely a welcome cure-all. Secondly, the decor of this spa reminds me of a museum of contemporary art. Very chic, stylish, and exclusive. You can tell the intent here is to bring an upscale spa experience to the area. The relaxing customer waiting lounge and Virgin Airlines-style room mood lighting is a very cool touch. Lastly, the staff was wonderful. Booking an appointment is very easy over the phone. They also accept walk-ins. There are quite a number of body massage rooms available as well as a sauna. The receptionist and therapist staff are friendly and attentive.
