Let me tell you about the absolute best tattoo experience I have ever had. I went to Dany for my sixth tattoo, honoring my husband who passed away nearly three weeks ago. I wanted a tattoo with our fingerprints together in the shape of a heart with his EKG reading the hospital gave me. The first time I went, Dany and his team spent an hour just to make sure they could get a good imprint of my ringer finger. We tried several ways but none of them came out well. Instead of just making do with what he was able to get, he suggested putting it off in order to make sure I got a good imprint. He had no guarantees that I would be back, but he rather lose the money than give me a bad tattoo, especially given the purpose of it. But I did go back last night with everything ready, and he spent well over two hours crafting the tattoo, making sure it was what I wanted, that it looked good, and that it was positioned well. He even got my daughter involved in the conversation and sought her opinion, making her feel included. He wanted to be absolutely sure that it honored my husband as I wanted. Then we got started and talked the whole time and it wasn't nearly as painful as past tattoos have been. He is a wonderful human being who really cared about his job and making people happy with his art. I've never had a better experience getting tattoos and if I ever wanted another one, or when my kids are ready for one, there will be no reason to look at anyone else in the area. Thank you Dany. Out at a work event, I started chatting with someone about his gorgeous new half sleeve, and he highly recommended this shop. I checked out the portfolios online, decided Asek was my guy, and made an appointment... The minute you walk in the door, you'll notice that the place is stunning (clean, new, and well-decorated). There are big-screens up front where you can chat with the artist and pull up inspiration/examples from the internet to show them your tattoo ideas. To make it that much better, EVERYONE who works there is beyond friendly and accommodating. Even though I was nervous (hadn't been tattooed in a couple of years, and was in a shop I'd never been to before), they made me feel completely at ease. I was there to see Asek, but had the chance to check out the other artists' portfolios and chat with most of them since I was there right at opening. Each one is crazy talented and so incredibly nice. Every artist obviously has their own style, but I was impressed with all of the portfolios and their personalities too. I have now been tattooed twice by Asek in a matter of just a week-- I was hooked after my first appointment, with no end in sight! I don't even know where to start !! I've wanted tattoos for a very long time but something always came up , doctor bills , family, kids .. just every day life.. I have to Beautiful daughters that are my life as I'm a single father ( their mother passed away 6 years ago) I've always wanted a pair of praying hands on my back .. just to show how grateful I am to god for my daughters.. so in July of 2020 I was finally able to get the tattoo which is shown in the picture... remember this tattoo holds a lot of meaningful feelings for me.. anyways I go to get the tattoo.. I meet my Artist he seems to be a very nice person.. we go back to get started he puts the stencil on my back and I say hey it's supposed to say forever grateful across the top .. the Artist says oh!!!! My bad (I'll just hand write it is that ok?) so I say sure ... I figure he knows how to spell ... so we get all done I take a Quick glance in the mirror .. I go home and get a text from the artist saying sorry and that he misspelled grateful... it kind of pissed me off but hey .. we all make mistakes right.. I tell him it's ok and that we will figure something out.. I call him back a couple days later and say hey I always wanted a full sleeve.. the artist says ok ( I'm figuring that this guy is going to do everything he can to make up for fucking up my back .... he ask for pictures of what I wanted so I send them to him and I also tell him I wanted black and gray realism.. the artist tells me he will send me drawings of what he had come up with.... so several weeks go bye and I get nothing from him I send several text asking about my appointment and that I can't wait to see what he had come up with.. I get no response... so the day of my appointment I go in to get started and he shows me the stencil ... not the actual artwork but a stencil.. so I'm thinking to my self what the hell ????.. so we talk about placement and I'm still kind of like what the hell ... but I'm figuring this guy is the Artist he must know what he's doing... he starts tattooing and the whole time I'm thinking he's going to make up for my back .. this tattoo is going to look awesome.... WELL!!!! It's anything but awesome... I asked for black and gray realism and this is definitely not that... not only that but I was charged $800 for this $800!!!!!! I'll never go back and I suggest that you say as far away from this place as you can .. this place is a shit hole they don't give a fuck about you or what you want... my sleeve was going to take supposedly three days to complete at $800 dollars a day... now I have had to find someone else to finish and fix what was started and that is going to cost me $2,400 ... I've called Karma tattoo and asked to speak to Danny the owner and got nowhere... I went in to speak to him and they say he just left ....... AGAIN STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE... there are to many other Reputable tattoo shops you can go to ... Got my first tattoo done by Eric last Sunday. LOVE IT! Exactly what I was looking for, I got 3 little paw prints behimd my ear, Eric took the time go over exactly how I wanted the placement of each one, asking lots of questions to make sure he had a good understanding of what I was looking for. He then showed me how it all worked to make sure that I was comfortable with the whole process. Once we got started, he'd pause to let me know what he was doing and when he was moving to the next print. Finished tattoo looks awesome, and I could not be happier with the results. The place is very clean, and modern with leather couches, flat screen TVs and fish tanks. They have a internet connection in the front, so you and the artist can go over and discuss what you want right there. They are upfront about pricing, courteous, and laid back but professional. I am a complete newbie to tattoos, just got my first one here yesterday. It could not have been a more positive experience from start to finish! Kirk is just the best! He made me feel at ease, he interpreted and executed exactly what I wanted (way beyond my expectations, in fact), and the result is beautiful. Had been thinking about this for a very long time, decided the time was right, did a lot of research, and tried one other highly rated shop first. Never got as far as the tattoo, thank goodness, because the situation was not a happy one. So I researched some more, and when I first dropped into Karma, I instantly felt comfortable (perhaps not so easy for a mid-60s grandmother of five in a tattoo shop!) When I returned for my appointment with Kirk, I had a sketch of what I had in mind, done by my 13-year-old granddaughter, and he took it and just upped it to a higher level that still matched the spirit of what she had created. I felt a little self-conscious about even the idea of a tattoo, partly because what I wanted was small, simple, and nothing an artist could add proudly to a portfolio or make a lot of money from. However, Kirk made me feel as if my artwork were just as important as anyone else's, and put tremendous care and time and artistry into the execution. He was also very careful to ensure that I knew how to take care of the work so that it would continue to be just as vibrant when it heals. The price was also surprisingly reasonable, given the amount of time and attention I received. Could not recommend this clean, professional, attractive shop more highly, and Kirk is a true artist. read more
