I booked a Karmel shuttle bus to transport 27 students & parents on a field trip to/from the airport and our Disneyland hotel. Unfortunately after what transpired, I cannot recommend them. Obtaining a quote and booking was easy. The cost seemed a bit high, but they did explain it after I inquired. They charged $2300 for 2 trips, arrival and departure to/from the airport and our hotel. Okay. 1 - They say they'll provide the cell number of the driver. They do not. I had to find someone at LAX to call Karmel. Our flight got in at 10:45am; AFTER I called that we got our bags and ready, it took 30+ minutes to get picked up. They said there was traffic. Umm... why on our invoice was the pickup time = flight arrival time? We paid for time that we did not receive because the bus wasn't ready. Waiting in the LA heat outside the airport, staring at every bus, wasn't the best welcome. 2 - The first leg was fine, although the driver played loud 90s hip hop and then took us to the *wrong hotel*. I went all the way into the front desk until I figured it out.. luggage had to be reloaded. Sigh. 3 - I worked with Heather all along the way via phone and email. I will say she was very responsive regardless of time, but I'm just not happy with the answers I received. 4 - For leg 2, the bus arrived early but we had no text (again). At this hotel there is no viewing to the entrance from the lobby. So we were sitting ducks for 30 minutes not knowing the driver was waiting outside. The MAJOR issue - on our trip to the airport, which should have been 30 minutes, the bus broke down THREE TIMES! Each time we had to wait for it to cool off on the side of the road. This caused ample stress - will we make our flight home?? It was already a late evening flight. At the 3rd breakdown, we all started panicking and checking in online via the group site. Finally, they sent another bus to us. And yet again, we had to unload luggage and re-load luggage. This is just exhausting. However, I've never seen my group move faster! Although we made our flight, we should not have been broken down and had to switch busses. Our group did not get dinner at the airport as planned, so students (under 18) were going hungry. Our driver said "This always happens" and seemed very upset. He got off the bus and spoke heatedly with someone on the phone. I don't blame him for the frustration. After all was said and done, I asked Karmel what they could do about the situation. I requested a partial refund. They offered me $100 for the stress it caused my students. One hundred dollars. So no, I cannot recommend Karmel and I will not be using them again. read more

Booked a ride from LAX on a Friday night since my original ride (sonny boy) decided to go on the "party bus"Muir a friends birthday, and didn't want to deal with the uncertainty of a ride share (which has apparently been awful at LAX lately). Easy booking on line, cost a little more than what the ride share could hav3 been, but for the curbside pickup, and conversation with Eli on the ride I couldn't have been happier. I actually received a call from my driver while still sitting on the plane waiting for our gate to become available. He said, just call me when you get your luggage and I'll be right over. Also received an automated text message describing the vehicle that would pick me up, including it's license tag number. Very nice ride to my hotel (even with how insanely busy the entire airport was that night). Thanks Karmel! read more

I was super-stressed about getting my elderly mom and niece to the airport for a memorial service in Florida, but driver Auggie set all of us at ease right as he showed up - patiently early by the way! Auggie got my mom and niece settled in the car and then confirmed the details so we all felt comfortable with the plan. He assured me that he would make sure they got inside the terminal and that they would head in the right direction toward security and their terminal before leaving. What a relief to have such a competent and caring driver take my loved ones to the airport! Karmel Shuttle was the perfect antidote to my challenging situation - thank you for going the extra mile! I booked them for a 10am pickup for a noon flight so we could have a few hours at Cal Adventure before heading home. They called me at 810 and said they were there to pick us up. I told them I booked for 10 and that we were in the park. At 830, I got a text saying that they could not wait anymore and that they were cancelling our shuttle. When I called them, they were rude and when I said "I paid a premium for your shuttle," they said "Lady, you didn't pay me anything, you paid Walt Disney travel. This is not my problem" and hung up on me! If you're expected Walt Disney level service, do not use this company! Never again. read more

I was a little stressed about this company, especially after looking at the reviews and having an interesting experience but it turned out perfectly in the end. This was my first time visiting Disneyland and basically my first time in California, as a tourist anyways. Disney did not offer transportation like in the past but I needed to get a transfer from LAX to Anaheim and decided to go through them because I do not know anything about the area or even how far it actually was from LA to Disney. It turns out to be quite far. Disney sent me an online form to fill out all of the details of the flights to a from CA. I not only filled out the forms but I called Disney twice to make sure it was all set. Karmel never contacted me or texted me ahead of the vacation, but I thought Disney is very organized, it must be all set. Wrong! Typically Disney is on top of things, at least they were every time I went to Florida. For this trip, I told them to pick me up at LAX at 10:00 AM. I get to the airport and call the company. Disney told them noon! I'm like "What?!!!!!" I do not want to wait outside the airport on the curb for two hours. Luckily, Karmel was very friendly and very helpful and located someone to get us within twenty- thirty minutes! This gentleman was very friendly and professional. We got a nice Suburban that took us directly to the hotel. Perfect! Then the company finally let me know they needed my number so they could text me the day before departure and then the day of when they arrived. This was never communicated to me by them or Disney. Luckily, I called them again because they did NOT have my number even after all of this. They picked me up about four hours before the flight. I did read a complain on Yelp stating they thought that would be too much time before the flight. It wasn't. It was accurate! We had a 7 AM flight, so they got us at 2:45 AM. Again, a nice, professional driver got us again in a nice Suburban. By the time we reached LAX, dropped off the luggage, went through security, got a coffee, caught a shuttle to another part of the airport and reached the game it was after 6 AM. Even super early in the morning this airport is very busy and it takes a very long time to get where you need to be. So Karmel's timing was accurate. It left only about twenty minutes time to eat breakfast before boarding the plane. Would personally use them again? Maybe. They seemed to have a good system, but only if you communicate with them directly and not rely on a company, even if it is Disney, to make the arrangements. But when you are a family with multiple suitcases and carry-ons and need to get back and forth, the large SUV's were very efficient transportation and probably a better value than booking and waiting for an Uber when you need to travel in the middle of the night. read more

Extremely disappointed. Our flight was at 3:45pm from LAX to SF (one hour flight) and they wanted to pick us up at 11:30am. We'd have to wait for almost 4 hours at the airport. I called and asked to be picked up at 1pm and they said they had no availability and how airports are very busy. We travel often enough to know being at the airport 4 hours prior to an one hour domestic flight is unreasonable. The communication was bad. If we hadn't called we would not have known we'd be pick up at 11:30am. No confirmation from the company whatsoever. I told the dispatcher we wanted to canceled the trip because we didn't want to be at the airport 4 hours before our domestic flight and she said she'd put a note in our reservation but a driver showed up anyway at 11:30am. We wanted to support local businesses hence ordering this service instead of using Uber or Lyft. But this experience garantees that we will never be using your service again. It's higher cost, bad customer service, and at the end we had to order a Uber anyway. read more

New Disney connection is horrible. Didn't show up on time. No communication. In fact, didn't show up! Just don't use them. Doesn't work.

My reservation was cancelled less than 24 hours of my departure. They said they're overbooked. Well, they should not book me in the first place if they are overbooked. I tried calling their number but it says closed. If your service is transportation to the airport, your customer service should be available 24/7. Please avoid this company. This was an excellent choice for shuttle from the Long Beach Airport. Drivers who really liked what they do Highly recommend!

The ONLY reason Karmel receives 1 star is from our driver. I'm blanking on his name but he was a gem. We booked our shuttle from OC to LAX for a flight to Hawaii and we paid and were all confirmed up! It wasn't until the day before when I actually called to see about our driver being booked when they said "we don't have a driver and/or service OC to LAX at this time so your reservation has been canceled and we've issued a refund". I was baffled since I had a Karmel confirmation number... That evening I received a text message from Karmel saying the driver would be there to pick us up in the morning, which made zero sense so I called back and they apologized saying no driver was coming. At this point my entire party of 8 made driving arrangements at this point to get to LAX. At 5am I received a call from a driver who said they were outside our residence ready to drive us to LAX. WHAT?! I already had an Uber almost there. I felt bad for the driver who had zero idea what was going on, so the remaining party of 3 ended up going with the Karmel driver who was fabulous. He said he received no word of a cancellation... Long story short, if you'd like reliability for a drive from OC to LAX, do not use Karmel/Super Shuttle! This was a nightmare! read more

Our first trip to Disneyland and LA, and our experience with Karmel shuttles eased the anxiety of traveling with small kids. I'd read that ride shares like Lyft and Uber from LAX can be an unreliable and expensive nightmare, and we're so glad we used Karmel instead! They're very reasonably priced. They were on time, courteous and great with communication. Used for transportation both to and from LAX. They send a reminder text several hours before your trip, as well as a text directly from your driver just prior to pick up. Will definitely use again! read more

We booked our trip through COSTCO to Disneyland. Karnel shuttle was the shuttle that was part of the package. Upon arrival from the airport service was great driver was friendly. They dropped us at the Marriott suites and we were actually staying at the delta Marriott next door. So no big deal we just walked across the parking lot. Here's where our experience went south and quickly! Karmel shuttle was set to pick us up at 12:50. Pm. We called at noon to confirm we were out front of our hotel Delta Marriott and gave them the address to ensure they picked us up at our hotel and not next door at the Marriott suites. No big deal. The gentleman we spoke with confirmed. Then, Our pick up time of 12:50 came and went. So we gave it 15 minutes assuming bad traffic, and called karmel shuttle to ask if the driver was running behind. The gentleman on the phone said they had been looking for us for 45 minutes. They did NOT call or text us and we were waiting outside of the delta Marriott for over an hour at this point. Then a very upset shuttle driver pulled up and this shuttle was from a different company called Lucky shuttle. (NOT karmel shuttle, which we were booked with) Apparently he was there to pick us up. And he was EXTREMELY RUDE AND GRUMPY!! Saying he had been looking for us for over 45 minutes of course at the hotel next door!!! At the Marriott. The driver then slammed the back doors of the van and the side doors. And quite honestly was driving crazy all the way to the airport. I was so uncomfortable and just wanted to get my family out of the shuttle. THE ADDRESS FOR PICK UP AND DROP OFF WAS 12021 Harbor Blvd, garden grove. This is the address for the DELTA MARIOTT If Karmel shuttle was going to send a driver of a shuttle from another company (Lucky) They should have told us to look for a shuttle to pick us up from a different company. But in the end I don't see it being our fault in any way that they were trying to pick us up from the wrong hotel. read more

Horrible characters hired as drivers. 4/9/19 driver screamed at a nearly 80 year old member of my family, told her to not speak to them, would not touch her suitcase (which shuttle drivers are expected to do as part of their service offering), drove erratically, blasted music with no consideration for the comfort of the passenger, etc. When asked why such an attitude, said she was upset about company policies and LAX traffic. So, it's thus OK to treat a customer beyond horribly? We subsequently tried twice to communicate with their management team and were told: as ride is done; nothing we can do. I am proceeding as well with AAA to have Karmel removed from their list of recommended vendors. Like many of the people who have already left reviews, if I could leave a zero I would. This was some of the worst customer service and communication from a "professional" organization in all of my 30 years of traveling. Our drivers were amazing, but dispatch and communication were atrocious. We called several times to update contact information for our various pick ups and drop offs, with no response or with them saying things were updated but we're not. Who is actually running this business? Because it does not feel like anyone with a brain or a computer or a central database is aware of what is going on. Do not take this shuttle anywhere. My mom - a senior citizen - took this shuttle from LAX last night and had the RIDE FROM HELL! The driver was so awful - yelled at my mom repeatedly, was rude, refused to help her with her bags or with the seat (which was folded down and my mom didn't have the strength to push it back to the seated position so that she could use it) drove recklessly and then would not help her get her suitcase out of the van. Mom was literally traumatized by the time shoe got home. Obviously we'll never use them again but what type of person treats people this way? Treats customers this way? Treats older people this way? Horrible experience Update - we contacted the company about this terrible experience and the best that they could offer was that this driver would not be matched with my mom again. On our trip to LA, my family used the shuttle 3 times including a "go where you want to go" tour- the driver, Arman, was just the best. Very knowledgeable and got us everywhere we wanted to see. Horrible experience. I booked a ride for Disneyland because, in their link, I read they had the lowest rate. So, they write $169,00 ticket+ shuttle. Instead I paid $ 250,00. I received the first bill of $ 196, $30 more of the price that appears on the site. Then they charge me an extra $ 45 because I rode alone, without telling me That, and it makes no sense. DO NOT trust these people. They don't care about you, your safety, or even that you made a reservation with them. When we arrived at LAX they kept putting us off saying "10 more minutes." When they finally did arrive I approached the driver, gave him my name, and then told me he wasn't my driver and let another family bargain for a ride instead. I called dispatch and they verified that my driver picked up another family. After demanding a new driver, we were finally picked up after waiting in front of the airport for an hour and a half. As for the ride from the hotel to the airport, I can't provide any feedback because THEY DIDNT SHOW UP. I tried to call dispatch several times and no one answered. I ended up booking an Uber x3 the price so we could attempt to still make our flight. I don't usually leave reviews, and I especially don't leave reviews when I have bad service. I usually let it go. We booked Karmel for our trip for shuttle service to and from LAX. Rates are reasonable, and the drivers were friendly, and arrived on time to pick us up and drop us off. I have some constructive thoughts about our experience to share. Upon entering the van, I noticed right away the signs stating that if someone gets sick in the car, they will charge a $100 cleaning fee. And after riding in the van for a few minutes you can tell why, this van was very wobbly, and I started to get motion sick by the time I got to the airport. They need to get newer vans that have better suspension, and sit lower to avoid queasy customers, for that reason alone I wouldn't use this company again unfortunately. On the way back from LAX, I noticed the chatty driver was going in the wrong direction, I live near the 405/22 area, and the driver took the 105/605/91 and was heading to the 5 freeway before I made him get of the fwy at Beach blvd! If I had dozed off who knows where we would have ended up. Last thing I want to do with two small children at 1am is to go on a fantastic voyage in a van that is making me queasy. Nice company, nice drivers, but there are some things that they need to look at to improve their quality of service, the van situation alone will make me look elsewhere for my next trip. No one likes the hassle of Airport traffic and parking (Especially LAX). Karmel Shuttle service makes the experience of going to and from the airport easy and stress free. The drivers were clean, professional and courteous. They were on time and quickly assisted me with my luggage. When I came back from my trip, I just gave them a call and they met me curb side within 10 minutes. No need to walk to the center isle with all the other shuttle services. Although shuttle services may seem more expensive than some park and rides, it's still worth the cost in what I save with time, effort and stress in driving or dealing with the airport traffic and parking myself. Plus... it's a real nice way to start and end your trip in style. :) read more

Once of the worst experiences I've had in 45 years of traveling. We waited almost an hour for a driver. The dispatcherror was rude every time we spoke, and kept telling to look for a van or a suburban. But instead we got a sedan instead of the van we paid for, I had to load all my own bags to avoid the driver damaging our luggage, we had sit with some of our luggage in our laps and in between our legs, our driver was programing his GPS while he was driving. AND I still had to give him directions even though he had a GPS. When I asked for a partial refund because they pulled a bait and switch on the vehicle, I was rudely told that Karmel wouldn't grant one, but that I had to contact Super Shuttle instead, the company I had made the reservation through. Take my advice: Pay $4 more by using an Uber or Lyft and gain 35 mins. of your life back. They have a system where you might have to wait for other people at the airport transportation center, others who are part of your designated departure group. So you can't depart until everyone arrives. We waited 20 mins for the other party to arrive. They finally arrived and off we went (2 stops altogether, both Disneyland). Of course, I was the second to get dropped off. From the moment I was at the shuttle bus, to the moment of my arrival at the hotel, it took 65 minutes!!!! If I had used Uber or Lyft, I would've paid four dollars more and it would have only taken 30 minutes. I thought this would be cheaper, but in hindsight, I would have gladly paid an extra $4 and gained 35 mins. of my life back. read more

So we asked customer service for help in how to go about booking a shuttle from cruise terminal as far as reservation time, since we didn't know debarkation time. They adviced us to put down 9:30a.m. However, that once we got there to the terminal with all our baggage, simply give them a call and they would dispatch someone to our location. Well we called Karmel at 8:06a.m. the dispatcher told us we would have to wait until 9:30a.m. When I mentioned to him what customer service told us, he simply ignored ot and said he had no one and we would have to wait. Extremely dissapointed!!! Should have looked them up on yelp previous to making reservations with them. How sad a local business is so shady and doesn't keep its word. read more

BEWARE, don't use this company!! Choose another shuttle service! They sent a van with no tread and metal showing through(see my photos). My family just got to the airport after being delayed two days. We were exhausted, but I noticed the tires and immediately informed the driver. He didn't seem concerned so I called customer service. They dropped my call multiple times. When I finally got through to a manager. He yelled at me and said "If you were concerned about the condition of the tires you shouldn't have gotten in the van. If you aren't satisfied then I can have my driver pull over and drop you off now!!" I emailed and texted my complaint to the company. As of now I have not heard back. No apology, no reimbursement... In response to your comment Mark D. I already emailed and texted Karmel with that information. After such an awful experience, I would appreciate a refund. Been using Karmel for past couple of decades. This May's trip to and from LAX exceeded expectations. On time, friendly drivers, and excellent upgrades vans. I like they get you to airport 2 hours early as it should be. Seems Karmel has better trained their drivers, and/or hiring better drivers. Drivers are independent contractors, which did cause their service to go down last few years. But again, this years trip was wonderful service. read more

so disappointed with our experience. we booked through our disneyland resort vacation package so my expectations were high. multiple black SUVs came and went, none of which had our reservation. after 45 minutes and multiple frustrating calls back and forth with the Karmel dispatcher (i would like to share that he was very calm and apologetic), we were approached by a man that popped out of a parked van (marked with a different company name) saying the Karmel dispatcher contacted him asking him to take us....it seemed like he was taking a nap in there as the van was parked there since we arrived. i firmly refused as i was not comfortable for this option nor did i pay for this service. we ended up taking a taxi (lyft/uber was in a different pick up area) as we had to juggle multiple suitcases and carseats - and two screaming toddlers :( cost ended up being the same rate $40 from SNA to Grand Californian Hotel. good news, disneyland resort refunded us fully - but i hope disney will re-evaluate their transportation partners at SNA. read more

If possible, ride your bike, walk, or use a pogo stick..... just NEVER call Karmel Shuttle! After getting our luggage we called Karmel to take us home. We waited over 25 minutes and then the driver couldn't figure out how to get out of the airport. After circling around the airport, someone called him to pick up more passengers. We were told at the time we booked the ride we would be the only passengers. After picking up the other riders the driver again couldn't figure out how to get out of the airport and onto the freeway. I told him he had to get to the 105 freeway going east. Again, he couldn't navigate to get to the freeway despite using his car navigator. In total it took him over 1 hour to get on the freeway! I watched the entire drive home - his speedometer never went above 50 mph! I wished he had had gotten a ticket. 50 mph on the freeway!?! Another hour from the 105 to the 57 freeway with me having to give him directions the entire time otherwise we would have either still been circling in the airport or driving on the 105 freeway. Two and a half hours later, we arrived at our destination! (He said he could not find the city of Brea, on his navigator!!!) I hope he was able to get the other passengers to Anaheim - or maybe he couldn't find Disneyland on his navigator! read more

We used this shuttle service to take us from Long Beach Airport to a hotel near Disneyland, we booked through Costco travel company/Walt Disney traveling company. I called the morning of our first service to confirm, the guy was pleasant on the phone, and when we landed in Long Beach, a black Lexus was waiting for us and the drive was pleasant. When I called to confirm our trip from Anaheim to Long Beach airport when we were leaving, the guy was rude on the phone and said I was supposed to call 48 hours before to confirm, then they arrived in the shuttle 10 minutes early and the drive wasn't as pleasant as the first but we got from A to B with no issues. read more

First and foremost I booked a private vehicle and got a shared minibus instead because the original driver wouldn't be there on time. Secondly our driver was by far the worst driver we could have expected. He never drove over 50 mph ON THE FREEWAY (by the way minimum speed is 55 mph) and decided the perfect lane to drive in would be the fast lane. We had vehicles speeding past us, honking and merging quickly in front of us to show the driver he shouldn't be in that lane. He was continually on his phone, whether that be talking or looking at his screen. I had my children in that vehicle, ages 7 and 2. I did NOT feel safe and didn't appreciate how long it took to get to my destination because of the drivers inability to properly drive. read more

Frank was a great driver. Showed up on time. He has great customer service skills. Knowledgeable about the area - and acted as a mini tour guy.
