I used to believe that once carpet becomes dirty to a point that the stains look really bad, the carpet need to be replaced, until I found Yonny with Karytas Carpet Cleaning. I called quite a few of carpet cleaning companies from Yelp with high ratings and almost all of them either took too long to return my calls or quoted a very high price. When I spoke to Yonny, I immediately felt on the phone that he is just exactly who I have been looking for - straight forward honest guy, very fair quote, very high Yelp reviews and strong client references. I trusted my intuition and booked an appointment. While reviewing my carpet cleaning requirement I found out that he does rain gutter cleaning also so I locked him with a combined deal to clean carpet and the rain gutters for a great price. Today on the day of appointment, he arrived 10 mins early and was ready to go. He and his assistant started with rain gutter cleaning and finished that job in about 2 hours of non stop work. When I saw the before and after pictures I could not believe my eyes how clean my rain gutters looked. Then they started on carpet cleaning. I showed him few stains which I was concerned about and I knew in my mind that they may be able to lighten them but its impossible to clean them off completely. Then I went back to my home office to work and Jonny and his assistant got busy to work. 2+ hours later when they finished the carpet cleaning, I wanted to take a quick look. I was so thrilled to see that almost all of the stains (except one really dark red very small spot in one of the bedrooms) had gone off completely. I thought (and was still skeptical) that once the carpet gets dry those stains will start showing. But I signed off on this job and paid Yonny and then got busy with my work day. In the evening when my wife got back from work and we both went upstairs to check the dry carpets in our bedrooms, we both were blown away that all these stains did actually disappear and our carpets felt very good while walking bare foot. It almost felt like we spent several thousand dollars and got a brand new carpet for our beautiful home while we had spent very tiny fraction of that money! This is the second time i called yonny to come to one of my properties to renew my carpet. The first time was in a house in hayward and today, he came to my property in san jose. As was the case the first time, he was very easy to get a hold of and was able to meet my tight time constraints. ( needed him to come the next day during my lunch break.) He arrived right on time and was extremely nice. We had an issue with the water being accidentally turned off, and waited for me to resolve the issue, without a single complaint. This guy was awesome. A couple days before I moved into the new house, I read the yelp reviews and called for his carpet cleaning service. Unfortunately when he arrived, the water hadn't been turned on yet but he hung around and tried different ways to get the water on. We eventually just knocked on my neighbors door and she let us use their faucet. But what a nice guy to stick around and help me. Highly Recommended! I'm expecting a baby any minute now, so really need the carpet clean before my water breaks. I called yesterday for a a quote. I called several 4/5 stars on yelp, and even some on craigslist. The price Yonny quoted me is cheaper than any competitor! Yonny was able to rearrange his schedule and fit me in! He came on time, and worked for over 2 hours to clean my 3 bedroom house. When he came, he first handed me his business card and immediately got to work! He was followed by my mom all throughout the house, asking him to clean every single corner, and he did! He even helped us move some furniture! I had a stale experience with Quality Carpet cleaners. They put out a coupon that is very misleading $27 for one room but it does not include any cleaning products just steam and drying WTH? On top of that they had a stinky attitude about me not wanting to pay $80, $90, or $120 to have my one small room cleaned! I noticed he already had the higher figures written down on his note pad. Somewhat of a bait and switch. Tony of Quality told me that I had better try someone else ...So I called Karytas since it was highly rated on yelp. Yonny was very nice and seemed sure he could do my carpet for $45, which he did. I am not dissatisfied with the the job they did but there are small things i did not exactly enjoy which is why i am giving 4 stars. The day that Karytas came out their truck mounted machine had broken causing them to have to come back the following day which cost me time and convenience. Also when they did return they came back with a portable style of machine and I feel the carpet would have been better/ cleaner with the more powerful truck mounted machine. But I do have an inexpensive carpet in my house hopefully next time will be better. All and all they seem very concerned with their work and they seem honest and personable i never felt worried or unsure about their caliber of character while in my home. read more

I bought my carpet a yr and a half ago and it's a light cream. I finally got around to getting it cleaned, even though the retailer told me I should get it cleaned at least once a yr. So as you figure by now a year and a half later with no cleaning the high traffic area had some serious stains. I called Karytas ( I think his name was Johnny) and scheduled an appt.. When he showed up he gave me his card and went straight to business. He asked where the rooms were, walked and scoped out the areas. My carpet is a good quality carpet, and I own my home; they weren't filthy or worn. However, it had been 5 years since our last professional cleaning. There are five of us, kids, and a dog.
