Been wanting to try this place out for the longest time and I was able to go to Sumo BBQ today. There are 2 options for AYCE which regular price is $26 and if you just want the sashimi (no rice added) it's $33. I thought that was nice to have since that means you can eat more sashimi without being too full from the rice. Overall, I do enjoy the sashimi a lot. The options are limited but pretty solid. The hibachi and appetizers were hits and misses. The udon stirfried with scallop I had today was a little bland. Service was pretty quick. One thing to note that any dish with noodles will be pretty big so don't go too crazy when you order them. Even just 1 hibachi can be pretty filling. Make sure you share it with other people or pace yourself. I was so full today. This place is not the best but I do like the sashimi portion so I may come back just for it.

I went to sumo during their lunch all you can eat menu. I wasn't quite sure how it worked, and the waitress never explained so it turns out that the dishes are very petite and therefore ordering one item will not be enough. Of course you can order more items as you go along. The miso soup I ordered was the most watered down me so I've ever had it really needed a lot more miso in it. The kitchen and wait staff were very friendly. The inside of the restaurant had fast food feel.

hey!hey!emmmmmm! good!In short, it's delicious! The new sauce is even better. Come and try it!

All you can eat portion: stir-fry shrimp udon

Service wasn't very good, and the vibe was uncomfortable. There was a cooking show on for background noise rather than music, very annoying. Shrimp udon was great! But fried rice and chicken was very dry and bland. Overall Food wasn't bad at all but not good enough to endure the uncomfortable environment.

Stopped by for AYCE sushi because I saw this place had opened up on social media. I've frequented many other AYCE restaurants and am used to the chefs packing on the rice, but this is the first place I've been that has packed on the rice while also giving you a sliver of fish. This persisted even after asking for less rice, and if anything, it seemed like they doubled down and gave even more rice. The waiter said, "it's better than Sushi Ai though, right?", which was wrong. To top it off, it felt like the entire restaurant was waiting to eat with ~20-30 minutes in between AYCE orders. Would avoid this spot.

The environment was nice, and you could watch cartoons while waiting. The sauces were amazing.

Favorite things I tried: Yaki Ika (grilled squid appetizer), seaweed salad sushi, tofu skin sushi, Volcano roll, green dragon roll, and Crazy Spicy crab Roll (it was not that spicy). I only ended up ordering 3 rolls and a few 1-piece sushis because I was so stuffed! You do have to wait awhile after ordering sushi for them to prepare the rolls, so order earlier if you know you want to try other rolls. There's a 2-hour limit after you're seated. And don't forget the deep-fried Oreos--my friend ate 8 of them because they were so good!! I tried the sugar biscuit too and it reminded me of a dense beignet.

Ours was amazing, she said "we don't fork shame here" I fork shame, but she refused. Good for her! I also ordered a cocktail. I would arrive to Sado just for this cocktail, it had a coconut pillow top, that was reminiscent of a marshmallow. Delightful compliment to my savory dinner. I was very surprised at the size of Sado on the inside, we made a turn into the seating then a second turn deeper into seating. I did not get to check out the bathrooms, which disappointed me, but the ambiance was very dark and romantic, also unexpected, there were several tables of friend groups.

While I stood at the bar to peruse the lengthy menu the lady walked near me several times in haste with a notepad prompting my order. It wasn't busy but I felt rushed. I placed the order and watched the order be prepared within a few minutes. When the lady brought the receipt I noticed 15% gratuity was added. Appalling, especially since I wasn't offered water, a seat while I waited, nor was I greeted with a hello, a smile or thanked for coming in. Maybe the automatic gratuity is the very reason for the lack of hospitality here. The lack of hostility is the very reason I will never return. P.S. the sushi was decent. There are 100 alternatives I'd rather frequent for a pleasant experience. ~Christy

Some of the bites are definitely an acquired taste (this meal was my first exposure to eating liver and sea urchin - both very bold and unique flavors) but getting to try new foods was something I really liked about this meal. The restaurant is beautiful, warm, and bright. You get to sit right up at the counter with just 5 other people when you do the nine-course dinner. Each course is prepared in front of you so it's neat to be able to see the chefs prepare the next course while you're eating. When you book the reservation, you get the choice to pick between tempura and yakizakana for one of the courses, and while the tempura was good (which I ordered), the yakizakana was excellent (which my husband ordered). They do a great job explaining what everything is that you're eating, how to eat it, and which order to eat it in. And even though it's all small bites, we left dinner feeling full and satisfied. We will absolutely be back.
