Back at Sushi boat for the umpteenth time...sooo good. Started with fried oysters, edamame and soft shell crab. Loved the oysters, edamame was tender and cooked perfectly but soft shell crab a big disappointment...and I've never been disappointed with soft shell crab...ever. This was deconstructed legs, heavily breaded and over-fried with much too much sauces on top. Will never order this app again. Then ordered the sushi boat deluxe sashimi with fatty salmon (soo good) red snapper, red tuna, white tuna and yellowtail (best ever ) delicious. Ended the mail with two Unagi and the rolls that were just so overstock their delicious - highly recommend.

Loved my sweet potato roll and avocado roll. The miso was one of my favorite ever! I will be back!

Consistently delicious! Fresh sushi, large rolls, and attentive service keep the customers coming back. It keeps ME coming back. :) Absolutely love the rolls I chose tonight. I've had the Bonzai roll before and even though it's a little difficult to eat, it's worth it, especially if you're watching your carbs since this is a riceless roll. The St. Charles mayor roll was packed with flavor and was a very generous number of pieces. I tried the bang bang shrimp this time and they were very large shrimp with a kind of spicy mayo and chili sauce on top, but I have to say it was more sweet and not spicy at all. I would've liked it to have some spicy heat, but it was lacking that. They were packed tonight and had people waiting for tables, but I was able to snag a table for two just a few minutes after I walked in. There are only 12 tables in the entire restaurant.

Amazing fresh sushi! The people running it are so nice. Order is always ready in 15-20 mins.

Sushi boat is a cute spot for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is a bit smaller so it's very intimate meal, but it is a nice space and they also have a small patio for warmer days. They have a nice drink selection of beer and wine. The service was pretty good. No complaints about service or wait times. Plenty of dishes to share with a group as well as options if you do not eat meat. I was able to get some grilled salmon and a side salad. Both were very tasty and good portion sizing! The shrimp shumai is also a favorite. My food was very flavorful and tasted good. I would love to come back and try their big sushi boat one day!

This little cafe is cute. Our waitstaff was kind, helpful, and attentive. We ordered crab Rangoon, several sushi rolls, and each one was fantastic. Our dessert of mango mochi and green tea cake was the perfect ending. We live close so we will definitely come back. C

I came for book club and it was so nice. Originally it wasn't full but filed up quickly. We came around 6:30 PM and the store kept getting busier and busier. They have so many options even entrees with 24K gold flakes

I'm always on the hunt for a great, fresh sushi place, especially now that I'm landlocked. I will admit I'm pretty picky, and I will not eat raw in a landlocked state (because YUCK, frozen or canned?!). The reviews here were good, so I decided to take a chance. The restaurant is the proverbial hole in the wall place. There's not a ton of flashy decor, and the interior is pretty small. Parking is decent though, so that's a plus! I was able to take a good peek at the menu, and I'm happy to say it has a ton of offerings. I decided to try two rolls, the pink lady and snow white, and they were amazing! Imitation crab, of course, but the flavors were excellent. The sauces were very flavorful, and the soy paper just worked so well on both of them. The waitress was not terribly attentive during my food, but I didn't really need much, so no big deal. I'm definitely coming back here. The rolls have been on my mind since I visited, and I really want to try more of the menu.

Sushi Boat is always a solid choice in St. Charles. The sushi is fresh, the portions are generous, and I love that they had Uni!

How often do you go to the same restaurant 3 times in 2 weeks with 3 different group of people? I typically don't unless it is Sushi Boat. This has got to be my top 3 favorite restaurant in the greater St. Louis area and definitely the go-to sushi restaurant. After moving back from the East Coast, it took me about 10 failed tries to find a sushi restaurant that I truly liked and I am so thankful that I found this restaurant. The staff are friendly, menu is extensive (I've yet to order anything from the non-sushi section though, their sushi is that good), and the quality of the food is amazing. Our go to order is the Titanic which comes with variety of sashimi, nigiri, and your selection of rolls (it's a lot of food, but look up a sushi bake recipe if you end up with leftovers). My recommendations for rolls are Manhattan roll if you like spice and Flamingo Dancing roll if you like to impress your date (spoiler: it's on fire). Besides the delicious and creative sushi rolls, their sashimi cuts and generous and the fish is always fresh. My one feedback after their new location in Chesterfield opened is that their food comes out a little slower than it used to, but it just means that you should get to the restaurant earlier and come back another time if you need a place for a quick dinner.

The attention to the customers was instant and consistent. Clean and everyone was pleasant. We ordered the Bento box combination with chicken, beef, chicken, shrimp and scallops. It was cooked just right. We also tried the strawberry sake! Try it! Will be back.

Sushi Boat is one of the top places to visit for Sushi in the St. Louis Area! The flavors are immaculate, and I have never had a roll that wasn't fresh. The Crab Rangoon and Thai Iced Tea are a must try! The service is fairly quick and the workers are always friendly. It is a smaller location, so I can imagine during busy hours, there will be a wait. It can also be a little crowded due to seating arrangements. It is a little pricey, but I think the quality of the food is well worth the price.

    St Charles Mayor

Sushi Boat is a small place and they were very busy as expected on a Friday night, and we made the smart move to make reservations. The food did take some time coming out bit that was fine as we were not in any hurry and the place was packed and buzzing. The wait staff made sure to welcome their guests and came by the table a few times but it did take a while for drinks to be filled. For appetizers, we ordered a round of crab Rangoon and Agi Dashi or fried Tofu. The agi dashi did not have much in the way if flavor until it was dipped in the sweet chili sauce but it had a nice soft creamy texture on the inside and lightly toasted exterior. The crab Rangoon were okay, not our favorite as we found the filling to be on the sweet side and the wonton wrapper tasting almost like a cracker. I ordered three rolls: the kamikaze, St Charles mayor and Snow Mountain. The rolls came out and they were beautifully presented and colorful. The rolls tasted fresh however I found all three tasted much the same and not much texture. I still enjoyed the sushi offerings and look forward to visiting this location again to try other items on the menu

Inside, you're greeted with a handwritten sign telling you not to stay longer than two hours. (See photo.) This seems like an issue staff could deal with in a more tactful way. My friend had a large order that looked amazing. She planned to take leftovers home. I ordered just one thing, but it was delicious. The crunch on top added the perfect texture to the rolls. I'll be going back and trying more things. By the way, we stayed more than two hours chatting. No one said anything to us, but there were plenty of empty tables so it wasn't an issue.

Substandard ingredients like fake krab and low quality fish just really turned us off. Rolls that should be chilled were room temp; so much so I was hesitant to eat it. Hubs roughed it out tho. He said the tuna had a funky, fishy taste and lacked that smooth, melt in your mouth texture that excellent sushi has. The rolls were so poorly prepared they just fell apart when we tried to pick them up. Sweet potatoes were raw. They did have GF tamari tho which I appreciated. The only bright spot was our server Kenny. She was super knowledgeable about food allergies and was friendly & upbeat. The grumpy barracuda working the front desk though, not so much. If you don't want to work with people please just stay home. Sorry but this is a one and done for us. We won't be back. served

Coastal Hour Crispy Rock Shrimp as an appetizer, which is about 1/2 the dinner size and perfect as a starter or even as a meal with a soup or salad. Really nice breading on the shrimp, not too thick. Good flavor on the sauce, not spicy. For the entree, Louisiana style Halibut with Crawfish and Cajun Sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. The plate comes out piping hot, please don't touch.
