House made noodles with beef and pickled veggies in a broth I want to take a bath in. Red peppers on top were a little hot for me but easily removed. Pickle flavor is perfect. Server AND the chef checked on me to make sure everything was perfect. Maybe it takes a few minutes to get your food but it's so worth it. Clean and pleasant place with easy access and good parking. We called ahead to confirm whether the restaurant was dog-friendly, specifically mentioning that we would be bringing our 13 lb dog in a stroller. The staff member on the phone assured us it would be fine. However, when we arrived, we were seated and allowed to place our order. Only after we had already ordered did the same staff member inform us that the restaurant only allows service dogs and that we would need to remove our dog. This was extremely frustrating, as we had called in advance specifically to avoid this situation. If this was truly their policy, it should have been clearly communicated over the phone or at least before seating us--not after we had already committed to ordering food. As for the food, it was average and nothing memorable. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed the entire experience. We will not be returning. read more

I've tried this location vs the Springfield location and wow this location is very small and cozy. I went in at 1pm on Saturday for lunch for 2 people and we were lucky to be seated immediately. For bigger groups it looks like people like to sit and chill for a while. We ordered chili oil wonton, pork/shrimp wonton in soup, and Taiwanese pork with rice. I asked if they had Xiao long bao--they didn't. I thought this was a bao place and only reason I'm giving it a 3 stars--really I would give 3.5 stars. The service was good and food came out pretty quick! I really like their chili oil. It's crispy and not spicy- I wish it were spicier. I pretty much add it to every bite with the wontons. I really liked the wonton soup. Veggies were a nice addition and the soup was clean and refreshing. Taiwanese pork was OK. Not sweet or salty, but came in large portions. I thought the rice was a little too soft/mushy. If you are craving some good Taiwanese food, it's worth trying. read more

Well-done pan fried dumplings with affordable prices. The location is near a park, which could get really crowded during the weekends, otherwise parking should be relatively easy to find. The servers are attentive and decent with their service. The space inside is pretty comfortable and has a very large table for a big group, we walked in as a big group of 8 people and were sat instantly. The foods are authetic but the menu are quite large, so take your time to look at the menu before you go if you want to speed up the process. I highly recommend any pan fried dumplings, especially their Shanghai dumplings and shrimp pan fried. They were crunchy and tender at the same time. read more

Service was quick. Ordered a bottle of sake (they do have wine and beer though) and steamed pork buns, as well as panfried pork dumplings, and spicy wontons. The panfried dumplings were juicy inside and seasoned well. The soy sauce and vinegar are provided at the table so we can mix our own dipping sauce (though they didn't give us separate small bowls to create the dipping sauce). The steam buns were also made well and tasty to eat. The flavoring on the spicy wonton was perfect. This dish can look spicy to the uninitiated, but it isn't really -- and my guest who was worried about how spicy the wonton sauce appeared ate half the dish without having her delicate palate troubled. I'd return again for the quick service and solid dumplings. My only disappointment was that they didn't have the shao long bao (juicy dumplings). Maybe next time. Bao zi is really good! Legit Shanghai style. Some of the best shengjian I've had in my life. Really crispy bottom. Just right thickness wrap. Only wish the soup level is more consistent. Some doesn't have as much soup as I wanted. But mostly good. Curry beef is a bit bland but lots of tender meat. Definitely worth it Taiwan pork rice is mediocre. Could be much better with cut pork instead of ground pork. Vegetarian Baozi and dumplings are delicious! They are my go-to comfort food in Eugene. I also went to their Springfield location recently, where you can see directly into the kitchen, and got to see them hand fold all the dumplings by order. Great food and such nice people. Six of us dropped in for a lovely pre women's basketball game (Go Ducks!) dinner. The food was delicious and satisfying. Every dish we ordered was excellent. We also tried the pan fried version which was ok but lacked the bite (texture) you usually find with pan fried dumplings. I ordered one of the special menu fish and pickled vegetables with rice was very delicious. My wife ordered dumplings panfried they were so hot tender juicy and yummy. Beware the level of heat is scalding hot best to leave them to rest. My food came out pretty quickly but wife's dumplings took a while. They did have a few takeout orders that non doubt cleaned them out of dumplings as they were making fresh ones as we arrived. Waitress was very polite and answered questions we had about the level of spice Etc. the owner and or chef came by to ask is about the food was very pleasant and proud of the quality. The beef and potato dish. He then pushed me to get the Pork Ribs. At first I said no but he kept pushing it and it was getting unconfortable so I just said ok fine i'll take it. He offered zero apologies. I looked at him and just said, "Hey just so you know whem I ordered this i was told 15 minutes and it would be ready to pick up and it took about 2 hours." He literally just turned around and didn't say anything. I just walked out. I was actually polite the whole time considering the ridiculously bad service. And at the end of that the food was terrible. The curry and the pork ribs were not in a sauce, they were in a soup. It was the one of the worst curries i've ever had and I have had a lot. Rdawgs beef and mushroom noodle soup had really tough meat he had a hard time chewing it but he said the broth was really good. My seafood noodle curry was good a lot of sauce and good amount of seafood in it. The boy liked his pan fried wontons much better than my wontons in red chili oil both wontons were with pork meat. I don't have high expectations of Chinese foods outside of the San Francisco Bay Area and I took my chance to finally check it out. Dinnertime arrival after a long drive, we were hungry and in search of something to eat. we came across the I was looking for some Chinese comfort foods. Surprisingly, the food was very good. We ordered the pork rib rice and the fried curry beef bao zhi to share--it was plenty for 2. The rice was served separately from the pork dish--very nice that my rice was not soaked in sauce & with 2 scoops on the plate, it was easy to split. There was a good amount of pork ribs and they were meaty--other places may "cheat" you and give you fatty pieces. but this was not our experience here. The sauce was perfect, not overly salty and had a nice sweet finish--reminded me of similar dishes I ate growing up. The curry beef bao zhi were also very delicious...filled with meat. The ratio of bao to meat was perfect--not too doughy. I just felt it could have had a little more curry flavor. It wasn't too busy on our visit--late evening dinner, but there was a steady flow of pick up orders. Service was prompt and attentive; shortly after we were seated, they asked for our order. Great little dumpling spot and Bao. Skip the ginger/goji "hot" tea. It's not very hot and comes in a tall plastic glass. I ordered the pork bao and the dough is really fresh and soft and when you bite into one you get a brothy liquidy, melt in your mouth surprise. So damn good. The dumps were pan fried and very flavorful. I like that there is a lot of chili oil right in the table. In Portland, it almost seems like they gate keep the chili oil. Not here, plenty of oil to soak your dumps. read more

Sadly this is my first 1* review. I took my mom out for dinner and we decided to go here because we both love noodles and bao bao especially. We were seated only 2 other couples in the the restaurant so it was perfect. We were given menus what were EXTREMELY hard to navigate..absolutely no description on what anything was...and a lot of things were taped over and hand written and janky..We were given water by a sweet older man and then sat for well over 5 minutes looking around with no eye contact or acknowledgement never saw the girl that seated us again. So we walked over to the Hacienda Amigos next door and had a wonderful lunch. Sorry Bao Bao House I will stick to many other places for my Bao Bao. read more
