The ad claimed, "no mechanical problems", and "no check engine light on". After trouble shooting the check engine light and taking it to a mechanic, it was confirmed to have a bad engine. I attempted to call, text and email without a response. Rebecca Barrientos, Aubrey, and Henry Flores are scam artists. They will get the vehicle good enough condition to get it off the lot and then claim the vehicle was sold as is. BE FOREWARNED: DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALER. On 7/7/23 I bought a used Toyota Prius from dealer Henry Flores at Katana Motors. Exactly three weeks and 357 miles later on 8/1/23 the car broke down as I was backing out of a parking spot. The car made a loud noise and the steering wheel ceased to control the tires, making it impossible to turn the car in any way. I had the car towed to my mechanic who identified the cause of the breakage being due to new tie rods that had recently been improperly installed. Henry deliberately did not disclose this significant work and the CARFAX report did not indicate this work as having been done. My mechanic told me this is a highly unusual issue to occur and definitively concluded that the newly installed tie rods were the issue. My mechanic also stressed that this was a major safety concern and how lucky I was that this happened in a parking lot and not on the freeway. The negligence by Henry to not disclose this work and let me drive this compromised car off his lot literally could have resulted in fatalities, mine and that of other drivers had this breakage happened on the freeway. It absolutely frightens me to think what would have happened if this had occurred at high speed, unable to steer the car and follow lanes and curves of the road. Do yourself a favor: DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS with Henry at Katana Motors. He literally doesn't care if he sells you a car that will kill you weeks after the sale. He should not be allowed to be in the business of selling anything. read more

Horriffying and nightmare buying a car from this guy, super friendly but now the car that he sold me broke down 12 days later and 800 miles in. Bought a 2010 cord mustang from katana . First day I drove it it was fine . I took it into a shop and that's when it all went downhill. Katana motors sold me a car as is and DID NOT DISCLOSE that the catalytic converter was bad the engine has problems and the tie rods along with the power brake booster was broken . We bought a car from them, my daughter who is a college student spent every last penny she had. We took it to get aligned, they said severe suspension damage, rear beam axle severely bent, and unibody bent and twisted. Rear struts also bent. I called the owner he said I'm on Florida right now nothing I can do until I get back. I asked what are you going to do when you get back he said, I don't know it's as is. My name is Rebecca I bought a 2009 Ford F-150 lifted 4x4 back in March of this year. I know I am writing this late but I just wanted the area to know how great he is. First off he runs his dealership by himself he is a one man show and what he has been able to create is amazing. He has quality cars in great condition with low miles mine had 110k when I bought it off of him . When I first went I was looking for a 4x4 truck cause I like in rural Hemet and need a 4x4 for the rainy season. At the time he didn't have anything 4x4 in stock. He told me to give him a few weeks and I did and he blew me out of the water. He called me and told me that he was able to get my truck a 2009 Ford F-150 4 door leather interior which is a must since I have kids(easier to clean messes)and 4x4. When I went to the lot to check it out is more beautiful then I had though it was Black with ghosted headlight and taillights and aftermarket motometal wheels with a 6 inch lift. It was perfect . So we did the paperwork it took about 3 hrs total which I had expected I have bought from dealerships before and it took all day. But it was perfect his office has kid toys that kept my 4 year old busy he even gave her some paper and a pen to color with when she got bored. He is a family man and does great business I will forever recommend him to anyone and everyone I know . Never have I come across a used dealership with owners who show a vast amount of expertise and care for their inventory of used cars. I had never heard of this dealership and I was desperate for a car. Thankfully, David was extremely helpful when it came to,ultimately, my purchase of a fantastic 2002 Mazda Protege 5. He even explained the history behind the ownership of the car and showed me the car fax at my request. Once I decided I wanted to purchase, he was very flexible and fair with his pricing. Rebecca, his wife, was also one of the kindest employees I had ever met. Friendly, reasonable and transparent are just some of the words that would describe Rebecca. I was going to buy a car from Henry at Katana Motors on May 31st. I was there from 4:00pm till 9:30pm for him to print out the paperwork. I gave him $2000 cash and agreed to give him another $500 on the 10th. He had to print out more paperwork(45) pages to be exact and gave them to me June 3rd. The finance company called me on June 4th and denied the loan because I couldn't remember where I lived in 2001(didn't match my cc report). I went by on the 5th to tell him I had changed my mind and offered him what I owed for the days I had the car. He told me half of my down payment of $2500. I told him couldn't be more than a couple hundred. He wanted to finance the loan but I didn't want that after the way he talked to me and when I looked for the cancellation block I noticed he backdated the contract to May 31st and I could no longer cancel the deal. I called the finance company and talked to them and they agreed to redo the interview so I passed. However, I am 74 yrs old and don't deserve to be talked to like this and coned into buying a car I don't want. I call this elder abuse and deceptive, unfair business practice and finance exploitation when u see the final DEAL that he gave. I couldn't afford to give him half of my money so I had NO choice but to go ahead with the deal. It has taken all of the joy out of buying the last car that I will proably buy. I am sorry that the business is doing so poorly that he had to MAKE someone buy a car that they don't want. read more
