Ask the Community - California Pool Fence

Do you have fences that satisfy the CA 60" pool fence requirement?

Yes. We are aware of all the codes and laws of the city’s and the installation requirements to meet code. If you could provide me with your phone number, I will have my representative give you a call.… Read more

Hello, how much is the removable safety fence for approximately 70 feet? And how long is it supposed to be used safely?

It would be approximately $16 a lineal foot for a 4 foot fence. We do have lesser expensive fences but generally the imported fence will not last as long whereas our better if it’s made in the United States has a lifetime warranty

Working with Aqua Net will change the way you feel about the possibility of finding honest and committed businesses to trust. Okay, so maybe a little hyperbolic but these guys made a commitment and followed through in a way I have not encountered before. I had a bear who had found its way to my koi pond after the fires last year. Whether it was curiosity or hunger, he was terrorizing my koi, destoying the landscaping and had sliced up one of the fish in his daily visits. Using photographs and phone conversations, Rolando was able to get a reasonable quote together and schedule the installation immediately. The net itself was a taut masterpiece--far better looking than I had anticipated. The bear attempted it only once--the night it was partially installed--and never tried again. The net was so carefully measured and tight that I was unable to remove and replace it myself for pond maintenance. Instead of telling me, you bought, now deal with it, Rolando and Salvador, who did the installation, promised me they would find a solution so that I could effectively use the net with my arthritic hands and still have a net that did what it was installed to do. Even when the intervention of massive rains made a hasty return impossible, they did not forget their promise or blow it off. Salvador insisted on coming back several weeks later with the perfect solution to my dilemma. The price was reasonable and transparent, the work was superlative. And...they were actually fun to work with. How often can you say that?

I had a consultation with Nathan's Pool Fence and decided not to move forward…read more During the visit, I asked about licensing and insurance, which is extremely important to me for a pool safety installation. I didn't receive a clear answer at the time, and when I followed up afterward, I didn't hear back. That alone made me uncomfortable continuing. Another thing that gave me pause was that a discount was mentioned in connection with leaving a review. Personally, I prefer reviews to be completely independent, so that raised some concerns for me when trying to evaluate feedback. At the end of the day, when it comes to something as serious as pool safety, I need to feel fully confident in the company I'm hiring. Unfortunately, I didn't get that level of reassurance here, so I chose to go in a different direction. I'd recommend others ask detailed questions about licensing, insurance, and policies upfront so they can make an informed decision. This is a child safety product, it's not worth cutting corners over a lower price. **Update after owners response** Thank you for confirming that you are not licensed. That clarification is important, because in California, a contractor's license is not optional for this type of work, t's a basic consumer protection requirement for projects over $500. It ensures a contractor has verified experience, understands building and safety codes, and carries the appropriate protections for the homeowner. Pool fencing, in particular, is not just another home improvement project, it's a critical safety feature designed to prevent accidents. If you're cutting corners by not having your license I can only imagine what you do with these installations. Sad that we, the consumer are not knowledgeable enough to see what looks right and what doesn't. And I wouldn't trust any of your 200 reviews, offering incentives tied to reviews makes it difficult for consumers to evaluate feedback objectively. Reviews are supposed to reflect independent customer experiences, not be influenced by discounts or perks. At the end of the day, homeowners take on significant risk when hiring an unlicensed or uninsured contractor. If something goes wrong, whether it's property damage, injury, or faulty installation, the liability can fall back on the homeowner, and there may be little recourse. My review reflects those concerns so others can make informed decisions, especially when it comes to something as important as safety around a pool. So to all reading the reviews, beware that these reviews are based on receiving an incentive, which obviously is against Yelp's terms and agreements but, I'll let Yelp figure that one out. And if you decide to move forward, good luck! I truly wish you luck! Also, Ismael, try typing responses for yourself instead of having AI do it for you. It's too obvious.
