    Not solid wood

    HORRIBLE! I ordered in March, and it is now June 13 with no resolution. First, the order took forever to arrive. It had been in transit for 2 months, and all Kathy Kuo would say was, " Custom pieces take time, and my bench is in transit". I could track it bouncing around to multiple consolidation locations across the country. Insane! Prior to Memorial weekend, I was getting texts that the driver was dewas delivering 'today'. Paid someone to sit and wait all day, only to get a no-show and no response from the delivery company. I tried calling and texting for a week, and no answer! Called KK and got no help. After the week ended, I received an email confirming that the bench had been delivered. Nope. False, and the company said, 'Oh, that was a glitch in the system. Anyway, more trouble, more days, and irritating texts telling me to pick a delivery date, even though I already had (another) one set up in the email. So, on that day, the bench was delivered. The box and packaging were crap. The three front legs of the bench are all broken off. Now I've been waiting 12 days for the claim to be processed, and they say it takes 3-5. What a scam! What crap service! This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Now working with my credit card company to resolve. I do NOT trust Kathy Kuo! We also purchased another bench that arrived fine before this experience, and found the exact bench on Wayfair for less and with free shipping. So, shop wisely. KK is a scam, and even those in charge can't help, won't reply, and the phone system sends you on chases. Shop anywhere else. Reply to Response: I did not receive a full refund for the late, damaged item. KK kept the shipping money!! I have also done more research and found 5 identical items on Wayfair that KK claims as original. SCAM. Liars. And sllloooowww to respond. Sean, the manager (?) sounds nice but is completely ineffective. Cannot understand why he works there, or how he can lie for this company. Watch out! They drag things out so long that you could have an issue getting your money back from your credit card company. Learn from so many of us and avoid this headache. Buy anywhere else. Photos show this is a crap particle board piece of furniture. Nothing 'custom' about it. Oh, and by the way, sitting in an entryway for 3 weeks now as they are still 'evaluating' the wrap-up of this claim.

    As others have stated, this company is a disaster. Their Google ads and email materials indicate they accept returns on furniture within seven days. After I lived with my Rowe sofa for 3-4 days, I contacted them to request a return as I believe it is defective. The back cushion slumps horribly, making the sofa both uncomfortable and unattractive. They told me this piece was custom and they do not accept returns for custom items. Um... what? This was not a custom sofa and everything I read on their site up to date point indicated 7 day returns with a 20% restocking fee, which was a gamble I was willing to take. While they did attempt to solve the issue by providing a new insert for the back cushion, the issue was not resolved. TLDR: They sold me a defective sofa and refused to accept a return. I'm stuck with a defective sofa now that I hate sitting on and looking at. Disappointingly, the manufacturer Rowe also refused to make it right when I contacted them,

    damaged item that they won't take responsibility for.

    By far the worst company to go with. Item came defected with scratch marks. I reported the situation within the 48 hrs mark for them to say that there is no return for damaged items. The best they can do is send a repair guy or offer a 15% discount to keep as is. This offer is ridiculous. No one wants a damage item especially when you are paying high end pricing for furniture. If that's the case I would have spend it at a discounted store and not what is supposed to be a high end furniture store. Highly do not recommend purchasing from this establishment. Their delivery team won't let you inspect your item before departing. Advise us to check later and contact the company if there's any issues. Not cool at all. Will be disputing this trash with my cc as I advise anyone who is also going through this horrific experience to do the same. Btw I did spend over 30k with this trash company that I terribly regret.

Pretty housewares, merchandised beautifully…read more Based on my limited experience (I've stopped in ~3 times over the past quarter), getting things done around here requires interacting with the (seemingly capable) store staff, but there are too many shoppers and insufficient employees on the floor to help. I've been increasingly desperately in need of replacing my ~20-year old silverware that I think I purchased from a Bed Bath & Beyond for maybe $20. As it turns out, there's a pretty massive range of cutlery sets on the market, and I felt inclined to see and touch several options before making a purchase, especially if I'm going to drop substantially more than $20 on a replacement. This Crate & Barrel definitely doesn't lack for choice, but my transaction wasn't nearly as simple as picking out a box of new forks and knives. On my first visit, I narrowed down my selection based on aesthetics and material. I learned that I don't love textured metals, and I mildly prefer satin finishes over mirrored ones. I also discovered how massive a range in pricing there is between entry level cutlery and the high end brands. After reading several online reviews, I also determined that I wanted to purchase 18/10 steel for its durability. After all that, I'd figured out that C&B's Aero line (which seems to be a rebranded Cutipol product) might fit the bill, but I wasn't thrilled about the two-tone version they had on display. According to their website, they carry an all-metal version in store, and one of the employees was able to confirm it was in stock in the backroom, however, I had somewhere else to rush off to and decided to come back another time. On my second visit, I bee-lined it to the silverware section and waited to hunt down an employee who could help me obtain a set of the all-metal Aero cutlery. 10-15 minutes later, I finally got to handle a sample. This shit isn't cheap. I wasn't quite prepared to drop several hundred bucks on new silverware, but the store associate came up with the most brilliant idea: after confirming that there was no discount for purchasing multiple sets at once, she suggested I just buy one set to try out for awhile. That way, if I hated it, I wouldn't be out the full shebang. Genius, truly. Several weeks later, generally satisfied with the tester set, I returned for an additional three to round out my cutlery collection. It's a good thing I waited, too, because somewhere during the intervening time, they went on holiday sale for 20% off. My frugal inner Asian granny delights in a discount! Again, I had to wait around for a (harried) store employee to use their magical mobile app powers to summon a minion from the backroom for the ever-elusive non-displayed silverware and was -- eventually -- rewarded for my patience with a trio of shiny (more affordable!) utensil sets! All told, C&B offers a wide range of products. If what you're seeking isn't on display, there's a non-zero chance they might have more hidden away behind the scenes, so ask for help. And before arrival, be sure to gird your loins for a wait, because I've yet to encounter a scenario where there's an overabundance of staff standing around ready to assist.

    Rejuvenation, a store owned by William Sonoma in Chelsea, used to be a good store but fallen in…read morestandard due to a manager/staff of the store whose billing ID is G Costa, he wears a mask and did not wear a badge. He from the beginning was impatient in answering our questions about items and was showing attitude for no good reason. We had a terrible experience in their store when we tried to order goods worth more than $3000. He made a mistake in the order. When we asked him to cancel, rather than cancelling the order, he made a duplicate order without notifying us. Our card was charged twice without our approval for the duplicate order. He, after making the duplicate order, told us that we should come back and return the duplicate item when it arrives to get back our money. We were surprised that our card was charged twice without our approval although we were standing in front of him when he was putting in the order. We asked him to cancel both orders as we did not want to come back to return the duplicate item. At that point he became even more rude and was extremely unhelpful. He said the store manager was not around to resolve this dispute, although it seemed he was the store manager. He didn't seem to care that he lost a customer who was ready to buy goods above $3000. This staff should be held responsible for not only losing a customer forever for Rejuvenation and ruining William Sonoma's reputation but also because he was non-transparent to the customer and charged their card for a duplicate item without their approval. Be very very careful when you order anything in the Rejuvenation store and double check what they are charging on your card. We still haven't got back our refund that was charged on our card without our consent.

    Williams Sonoma Home @ 104 7th Avenue…read more This Williams Sonoma is located in a neighborhood that my daughter and I frequently visit to shop. We always stop in the Williams Sonoma Store and this Home Store. The furniture is beautiful. They have bedding and bathroom merchandise in addition to lots of nick-knacks. If you catch a sale on sheets that's good, otherwise their merchandise is pricey. I always head for the section of the store where they have the permanent markdowns. It's a nice place for me to dream about home decorating. Plus I always use their bathroom!
