Y'all are WHACK this place is absolutely incredible - Lin did a perfect job on my toes and gave me the best massage I've ever had from a pedi in California. And this was my first visit! And I was a walk in! I have been chained to Tracy's because of convenience (not quality) and Felton Nails is never willing to take me as a walk in (literally turn me away every time) so I am proud to say I have found my new pedi home!!! I had a terrible pedicure here recently, the woman cut and filed my nails super uneven and a little roughly, then she used a color that did not match my inspo pic in the slightest and then presented me with other options that wouldnt match either, clearly incomplete and i wanted to leave but didnt. She kept touching my toes after putting on the coats so it ended up with ugly texture on them. And then when i thought everything was done and i was just trying to relax and have my massage, she kept stopping every 2 minutes to file my toenails again and then go back to massaging but i couldnt relax bc she just kept filing them roughly during the massage. They came out looking like shit. And she said the reason why it dosnt look like the inspo pic is bc my nails are short. I went in with super long nails but after all the filing she did they looked like shit. Plus it was 60$ and for a chop shop that is crazy. read more

I don't get my nails done a lot, maybe once a year but I'm hoping to do more now that I've tried Bella Nails. I made an appointment and when I got to the salon, they were busy but took me in less than 5 minutes (which gave me adequate time to pick out a color). The service was quick but high quality! I got acrylic almond shaped nails and she was great about checking in with the length, shape, and color throughout the appointment. The price was super fair as well. I noticed while I was there, there were a ton of ladies who seem to be "regulars" which I feel like is a good sign. Best nail place in Santa Cruz County!!! I come all the way from Aptos just to get my nails done here. I've gone to nearly every nail salon between the end of Aptos to here in Scotts valley and none even come close. They are so gentle they never hurt me and I have really sensitive cuticles that usually end up bleeding and then peeling after going to any other salon but leaving here my cuticles look great! They're super quick, efficient, friendly, gentle, do an AMAZING JOB, and considering all this I would be willing to pay extra for this but they are actually the cheapest of any of the salons I've been to as well! After going to Bella for the last few years, and after a several month hiatus, since the Tet New Year, the most incredible aesthetician, Van, was no longer working there. She is smashing. I had a very unsatisfying experience. A moderately applied soak and nail service, ok nail polish. I showed the aesthetician how to do my nails that were in poor shape due to an injury, much to my dismay. Things are more expensive these days and I recognize that these women do hard work for very little profit. They do everything so quick and never consistent. I went to them, not for the first time, to have my gel nail polish from my fingers removed. First she used the liquid remover then use a course Emory board horizontally. How horrible, it left my nails with deep marks and now my once strong and healthy nails are spilting and peeling so badly I had to cut them as short as I could get them. I also suspect they double dip when waxing. Never again will I go there. read more

This was my first visit to Bella Nails. My acrylics had grown out. What I asked for was a trim, fill, reshaped, and finished with an ombre gel coat. I picked out a dark brown and greyish lavender for my gel colors. I showed her a photo of a basic ombre color combo I liked. She assured me she could do what I showed her. I thought something was a bit strange when the nail tech painted my entire nail with the first color and dried it before applying the second gel color. I said something like, "Hmmm..I guess there are all kinds of techniques." Then she told me she could not do the tiger eye technique because it required special product which they do not have. I thought, "this isn't right". Now that color is dry and will not blend with the other color. So the next step was applying the second color to the tip of my nail. She then took her ombre blending brush and dragged the color up my nail. Nothing blended, of course. I just wanted to leave, so I told her it was fine. Plus I was in a hurry. I left with grey streaks up the brown nail. Now I need to find someone else ( I am here from out of town) to fix my nails! read more

I came here with a friend to get pedicures, and the whole time the ladies were gossiping about my friend and I. My unsuspecting friend is causation and I'm Vietnamese, yet these ladies didn't think I could understand them for whatever reason even though I'm clearly Asian. They kept commenting on my hair and how dark and unappealing it was, and they kept talking about my friend in such a disrespectful manner right in front of us. Mind you, we are both respectful, professional, and easy going women. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because the person that actually worked on me didn't participate in this conversation. I found this establishment to be unprofessional, and their work isn't even that great. I do not recommend coming here, and if you don't speak Vietnamese I assure you they are talking shit about you as they put on a fake smile to take your money. I hate that I'm putting down my own race, but this is an honest review and I hope they change their ways. What a shame and such a bad representation of hard working Vietnamese women that actually try to make it in nail salons. read more

Bring cash as they don't want credit cards even though I saw a machine - but I get it - fees. Why has it taken me so long to write these lovely ladies a review?? As somebody who's nails are extremely important to them, I have had my nails done all over the county and ALWAYS end up back at Bella. Why? Reason #1 is Michelle, the owner, as well as the rest of her staff are incredibly friendly and personable. They will remember your name, which techs you like to see and what services you like. They will remember your family, and ask about them. Some of the women here even came to a family member's funeral to support us (three generations of women in my family are all regulars.) They will compliment you and make you feel good about the services you are paying for, and if you seem less than thrilled, they will bend over backwards to make sure you leave happy! The quality of work is high, consistent, and always done in a timely fashion. They are frequently busy, and I never call ahead, but they always have me in a chair with my fingers being beautified within 15 minutes :) And added plus, at least for me, is that when the ladies here speak to each other, they do it at a reasonable volume and not in a way that tends to make you feel uncomfortable even though you don't understand. But usually they just visit with the clients I would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

I am BEGGING YOU do not go here!!! first of all, they were all so incredibly rude. i tried so hard to be kind, but each time i told her i didn't like the shape of my nails or that she was hurting me (she cut three of my fingers and drew blood, not caring when i warned her that she was causing me pain) she would just handle my hands/fingers more aggressively!! i did not catch her name but i do know she was the owner of the salon. there is no ventilation in the unit, causing me to choke on my own air because i was constantly breathing in nail polish fumes. there is no way it is healthy to be in there. lastly, my nails were so ugly. definitely not what i asked for, i will attach a pic. overall just a terrible experience, i left in tears and this is the first time i did not tip for any sort of service. -5/5 read more

Wow I wish I'd seen and visited this place sooner...really great salon with happy, funny, welcoming staff who not only didn't turn their noses up at me for coming in extra casual and makeup free, but complimented my fitness when I showed up in my lazy day outfit haha. Came here and asked them to fix the mess I'd been left with from another salon that I used to love before new owners took over....yes, i left a bad review but you have to reeeeallly do me dirty for me to take the time to write about it. My nails feel and look SO much better now! Michelle noticed right away how much lifting had occurred (Too much, she said, and I agree. This is bc the last place I went didn't even bother filing off the previous lifting--I've been doing this for two decades now I know the drill and that's not right!), the chunks of acrylic left under my nails, and how thick they were. Anyway she handled all that mess, plus my fill in, plus nail art with difficult colors (light yellow) in under an hour and even offered to add a little sparkle to my design to make it unique for me. My set feels way stronger and cleaner, all nails are pointing in the right direction, and the price was beyond reasonable. This is definitely my new spot! Every time I call and make an appointment I arrive 5-10 minutes before my appointment time as to make sure I'm there right at my appointment time and they continue to take walk in before appointments causing me to wait 15-30 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment time to get into a chair. Horrible horrible customer service. I've referred so many people to this salon in the past but will no longer use their services and will be sure to steer anyone clear of them. If you're fine with horrible customer service go ahead and schedule here, they won't let you down in that department. I went in to have my wedding nails (acrylics) removed, which I've never had done before. I explained that I wanted them off and if she could do a mani after to clean them up that would be great but no color because I had them on for about a month and felt they needed to breathe. The woman who did my nails had me sit down and proceeded to file the shine off and then cut the length off (it was ok but punched a little. Then she took unused nail tips to get in between my natural nail and acrylic nail tips. OUCH and the damage was bad. She had my nails sit in cold soapy water and barely trimmed my curitcles and reshaped my nails before oiling them and sending me on my way. When I went to pay with my card she asked me to go across the street and get cash at the bank instead. I'm new to the area and read quite a few reviews that reported they come from all over to get their nails done here, so I was optimistic about this experience, but I will not be coming back. Maybe it was just the nail tech but this was a bad experience for me. read more

Always super happy when I go to Bella, I recommend calling ahead and requesting an appointment because sometimes you'll have a wait. They usually get you in within 15-20 minutes if you choose to walk in, but if you have a favorite technician make arrangements and call ahead. All of their techs always do a great job as well as provide a very relaxing mani/pedi massage. Tip them! They deserve it! read more

First of all I'd like to start out by saying that I'm one of the easiest people to please I understand that being a civil servant or part of customer service is one of the hardest jobs you can do. With that being said when I walked into the salon I decided I'd give it a chance since I usually go to the same place I always go in San Jose call Blossom Nail Spa. When I got into the salon they told me it would be 10 minutes, it was more like 20 minutes but I said OK let it slide since it's busy. They told me to go sit in an empty station and there was no water in the station which is fine But the woman came over as I was sitting in the station with my shoes still on (I wasn't about to put my bare feet in an empty station) she started to pour the water over my feet with my shoes still on. I told her let me move she just smiled at me. Then she cut my toes in a couple places. It was very painful. Then came the massage on my feet and my legs. The worst ever the massage was about maybe 2 minutes because she was occupying her time by talking to the other lady that was sitting next to her. As soon as she was done she went to go get a hot towel to put over my feet when she noticed there was no hot towels left she decided to come back and just clean and dry my feet with a towel that she previously used to clean my feet. I was disgusted and was going to get up and leave when she began to put the base coat on my toes I noticed that there was nothing left in the basecoat jar she was trying to scrape the bottom of the jar with the brush but couldn't get anything else out. So she proceeded to dab one drop on each of the base coat on my toes. Then she proceeded to color my toes. I was already done and disgusted with the whole situation so I let her keep going and figured I'd yelp them anyway. I don't like giving negative yelp reviews but this was a special day for me I wanted to feel relaxed and have my toes done because I will be starting cancer treatment tomorrow. I thought I would do something special for myself. Guess next time I will spend the extra money and driving time to go back to Blossom nail spa. read more
