This company is awful. They rushed my grass project, did not put down a barrier and now my grass is all dead because the native grass came up. They do not come out and correct their work. Our railroad tie retaining wall was bulging and falling down in one place. We thought we would need to tear out the whole thing and maybe lose some cyprus trees. Ramiro and team tackled a very difficult landscaping job - removing trees and green space that began to break down pool walls. Some of the trees were 20 years old. Not only was the job done to perfection but they bothered with what others may consider "small stuff"....cleaning the pool, sweeping and raking the dirt etc. I was concerned about the scope of this job but Kathy's Landscaping brought enough staff to complete it in 5 hours. Others had told me it would take 2-3 days! Because of my concerns, Ramiro (the owner) stayed on site the entire time - to ensure everything was done correctly. All in all a very good experience. Kathy's landed right at that perfect intersection of not being too high in cost as to raise a red flag, and not too low as to raise a red flag, either. Good quality for your dollar, and they do not suggest inferior materials or inadequate levels of materials just in order to make a sale. Alex, the sales person, gave me piece of mind from our very first meeting. Kathy's teams, once work commenced, did a fine job of showing up on time, conducting themselves in a professional manner, and doing just the best job in my back yard. Always cleaning up after every job, and communicating next steps all along the way. They even worked with me at their head office in navigating my tricky HOA documents and taking my initial design to a place where I was able to secure HOA approval (not always an easy task.) I'll consider them first for all of my future projects, though I think that that would have to be at a new residence, as the pavers, pour-in-place concrete squares, raised planter, turf, redwood deck, and sprinkler system have all of the appearances of going the distance and standing up to any weather that the Santa Clarita valley can throw at them. The crew and manager Romiro did an awesome job removing my 30 year old twin palm trees. They had gotten so big and the seeds were messy. It was time for them to go! We were quoted very high prices from two other services. Kathy's removed both trees, did a complete stump removal, and cleaned my yard back to perfection for half the price of the others. They were fast, efficient, professional, and careful to not damage my house, wall, or pool. All-in-all, this company is super to work with and they do the best job ever! They also rotor rooted my neighbor's clogged alley drains and laid new pipes where needed. You'd never know their lawn had been dug up after the job was done! So we were delighted when Kathy's Landscaping crew was professional, clean and precise. Our clogged drain was identified quickly and was dug up with minimal grass damage. The tree root clogged pipe was found 2 foot deep and invaded 10 foot of the drain pipe length, which they cut back and replaced. He indicated Alex would call next a.m. Alex did call and came to my home the next day. He gave me an estimate which covered both jobs. It was moderate in price but he said the work could be done the next day. I was amazed! He emailed the estimate which I signed online. The very next day at 7:30am the crew of two showed up. Ramiro leaves you with the feeling that you've found your perfect landscaper. We had Ramiro's crew come out and some work after charming us with his knowledge, etc. The workers attempted to leave without completing 2 of the four tasks they were required do! When my husband asked them about it (in Spanish), one crew member got irritable and said, "Ramiro didn't say anything about that." He made us feel as if he was doing us a favor once he started the tasks we that already paid for. Months later, Ramiro later quoted us a ridiculous price for another large job. I ended up going with another reputable licensed landscaper. I only wish I had found that landscaper first because they did an amazzzing job and their rate was MUCH more reasonable than Ramiro's rate. I now have my solid and honest landscaper. Don't judge a good book it it's cover. There are hidden pages inside. Just be careful and get at least two more quotes. read more

After Kathy personally took the time to come out to our house last year, to go over a 20 page legal contract with my wife before starting work on our property. And the wonderful results after the work was finished. But what a complete turn around this year, after months of Luis making excuse after excuse about how long it would take for him to get a crew out to our house. And that's after not returning our texts and phone calls for extended periods of time. I know it's a busy time of year for them, as with all such businesses, although 1 year ago during the same busy season, they were still able to begin work within a couple of weeks of me initially contacting them.
